Christina Bowden (Lexi Johnson) is an elementary school teacher with aspirations to adopt. The paperwork is filed, the young teen (Willow McCarthy’s Lisa) targeted is on-board, and it seems the last remnants of Christina’s volatile past have been repurposed for good. Kidnapped and raised in a shack by her captor (Kaye Tuckerman’s Elizabeth Caulfield), fate somehow allowed her the second chance her four “sisters” tragically never received. She wants to therefore be a lightning rod for change in the community by using that experience from two decades ago to better understand and care for a new generation struggling to deal with similar psychological trauma. Being the lone survivor of a brutal ordeal gives her insight many would-be suburban parents can’t even fathom. And she’s ready to officially move forward.
Writer-director Michael Morrissey has other ideas, though. Rather than give Christina her happy ending, he concocts...

"I don't think you understand what happened here...?" Quiver Distribution has unveiled an official trailer for The Girl Who Got Away, a new serial killer horror-thriller from filmmaker Michael Morrissey (of Boy Wonder). Set in 2018, twenty years after a serial killer was caught and imprisoned, the story is about the "one who got away" now all grown up. When the killer escapes from prison, she goes after the final victim. Only one, Christina Bowden, managed to get away with her life, the other four were found buried... Caulfield escapes from prison and launches a deadly pursuit to finish what she began. Christina's seemingly perfect life comes crashing down around her as the secrets of her past come back to haunt her. The film stars Lexi Johnson, Chukwudi Iwuji, Kaye Tuckerman, Willow McCarthy, Ned Van Zandt, Audrey Grace Marshall, and Geoffrey Cantor. This does look extra creepy, much more horrifying than it seems at first.

Spoiler warning: This post contains plot details about the Fear the Walking Dead season 2 episode "Grotesque."
Fear the Walking Dead's resident recovering drug addict (and bloody T-shirt enthusiast), Nick, certainly has a way with women – and that's not always a good thing.
Thus far, Nick's detached himself, physically and emotionally, from his mother and his sister, while two leading ladies from his past are (presumably) dead: his temporary mommy-of-the-moment Celia seemingly went down in flames alongside her massive compound during May's midseason finale, and his ex-girlfriend Gloria was the first walker to appear onscreen as part of the AMC spin-off.

We already know “Fear the Walking Dead” — the companion series to AMC’s “The Walking Dead” — will take place in the early days of the zombie outbreak. Set on the west coast, “FtWD” will follow a family as they try to make sense of this apocalypse in a world where zombie pop culture never manifested and therefore no genre-savviness exists. Warning: Spoilers, Duh. But what we didn’t know is just how early those days are. Now ComicBook has revealed Lexi Johnson will play Patient Zero on the show. You know, her: Image Credit: AMC This kind of throw her promotional photo into a whole new context. Johnson’s zombie (Gloria) has seen better days. She’s been stabbed and she’s lost her shoes. But that knife wound now looks like it happened post-zombification as her pristine white tank dress isn’t soaked through. Did Gloria escaped from a hospital?...
