- Wiliam Farnesi is an Italian-Brazilian filmmaker and screenwriter. He graduated in Social Communication from Faculdade Cásper Líbero (1990) and 10 years later acquired his master's degree in Creative Writing from Scuola Holden in Turin.
- He moved to Turin in 2000, and made a dozen documentaries and short films that participated in film festivals and events in Brazil, Italy, Greece and the Czech Republic.
- He worked as a journalist at TV Bandeirantes and TV Cultura, in São Paulo from 1991 to 2000.
- He produced and presented the radio program "Brasis" about Brazilian culture on the Flash Radio, Turin.
- He worked as a freelancer translating and making subtitles for documentaries and foreign films for Radiotelevisione Italiana (RAI).
- He currently produces "Astro Síntese", a daily web series on Instagram.
- He also wrote, in collaboration with Mia Lecomte, his first book "Poesia Cronica". In 2018, he published his second book "Zoo naif" and a year later his third book, "Poesia per principianti" was released.
- On his return to Brazil, he gave a masterclass about cinema entitled 'Dialogues between Tarkovski, Bresson and Calvino'.
- Had several minor roles in films like Paolo Sorrentino's Il Divo (2008) and The Demons of St. Petersburg (2008) directed by Giuliano Montaldo.
