Seconds after Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson entered the holding room where presenters and performers at Clive Davis’ annual pre-Grammy gala were to take this picture, someone became starstruck — but who that was might surprise you.
“It’s Jelly Roll!” Wilson shouted excitedly as she saw the Grammy-nominated singer-rapper. But the feeling was mutual, as Jelly Roll later murmured, if only to himself, about the surrealness of the moment. He was standing in proximity to Hanks and Wilson as Dionne Warwick sat nearby and members of Green Day were hanging out while everyone waited for one of music’s greatest architects — Davis himself — to arrive.
The interaction was just one of several “pinch-me” moments as the likes of The Isley Brothers, Maluma, Josh Groban, Lainey Wilson and many more came together to take a snapshot with Davis and commemorate the night of amazing music that was to come at the legendary party,...

Stevie Wonder closed the multi-hour, all-star Clive Davis pre-Grammy gala with a rousing harmonica performance, a strong vocal delivery and words of positivity.
The icon was joined by Gladys Knight, Dionne Warwick, Andra Day, Keyshia Cole and Frederic Yonnet for performances of “That’s What Friends Are For” and “What the World Needs Now Is Love,” cutting off the latter song to tell the audience — which included Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks and Cher — that “music is love [and] let us use the gift of love that we’ve been given by the Almighty to make a difference in the world.”
“I’ve been blessed to be alive, but I’ve been blessed to see everyone — not seeing you physically — but seeing you spiritually,” Wonder said at the gala that ended early Sunday morning. “And what breaks my heart is to know that we’re still talking about the same thing that...

The judges on The Masked Singer were caught off guard when John Oates was revealed as the Anteater on the singing competition reality show on Wednesday night (December 13th) — despite the obvious “Maneater” reference staring them right in the face.
Prior to the big reveal, Oates performed a rousing rendition of Chuck Berry’s “Johnny B Goode,” though his weighty costume prevented him from doing any dance moves besides flailing his arms around. Watch a full replay below.
None of the members of the judging panel — comprised of Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Nicole Scherzinger, and Robin Thicke — were able to guess who was under the costume. McCarthy Wahlberg in particular was beside herself after having previously interviewed Oates for SiriusXM.

Spoiler Alert: Do not read ahead if you have not watched Season 10, Episode 12 of “The Masked Singer,” “Soundtrack to My Life,” which aired Dec. 13 on Fox.
Oh, oh, here he comes. Watch out boy, he’ll chew you up! Oh, oh, here he comes. John Oates is an Anteater.

The Oates appearance comes at quite a coincidental moment: He and Hall have been in the news recently after a falling out (and Hall’s lawsuit) over Oates’ plan to sell his share of their joint venture.

The 2023 MTV VMAs were truly for the millennials. Between *Nsync's surprise reunion and Shakira's career-spanning performance, the ceremony on Sept. 12 was full of old-school moments that brought us back to the early aughts. (It helped that all of the stars practically look the same as they did 20 years ago.) The nostalgia revived an award show that's become a little stale in recent years, so here's to the talent bookers, who must be millennials themselves.
*Nsync kicked off the night, presenting the first award of the ceremony to Taylor Swift. Swift's reaction was all of us - she fangirled as she received the Moon Person from "their golden pop hands" and demanded to know if something bigger was in the works. Appearing between newer performers like Olivia Rodrigo and Doja Cat, subsequent presenters included Ashanti, Nelly and Timbaland, and Mary J. Blige. In honor of their achievement awards, Diddy...

Offset admitted to lying about the allegations he created that his wife Cardi B cheated on him, blaming the tequila he drank that night.
During an episode of the podcast Way Up With Angela Yee, Offset shared that he and his wife were having an argument while he was “really lit” from drinking tequila. The argument was seemingly heated as he described, “If you got a New York woman, you know she’s a pitbull at the mouth.”
During the fight, Offset decided to post as retaliation that “My wife f—-ked a N- – – a on me gang yall n—-as know how I come,” on his Instagram story, which he later deleted.

Music will keep them together.
Cardi B and Offset just released their music video for their new track, “Jealousy”, with the clip referencing those cheating allegations.
This is the pair’s sixth collab as solo artists.
The vid comes after the married couple teased the collab on their separate Instagram accounts earlier this week, with them sharing a pic of the single’s cover art.
The artwork featured a comical photo of the “Wap” singer, 30, turning away from her husband, 31, while shoving her incredibly manicured, pink and lengthy nails against his face while he leaned against a vintage vehicle.

Offset has enlisted his frequent collaborator — both in and out of the studio — Cardi B for a new single called “Jealousy.” Listen to the song below.
According to its press release, the single comes ahead of Offset’s “forthcoming album,” though no additional details are available at this time. In a new interview with Variety, Offset explained that he’s hoping to launch a new era of his career. “This is me going full-fledged into my solo career,” he said. “I’m coming through, bustin’ through the door. It’s all set, my next chapter. It’s my time.”
Offset first teased “Jealousy” on social media earlier this week, tapping none other than Jamie Lee Curtis to help him spoof the late James Brown’s iconic 1988 CNN interview. Lifetime delivers another engaging biopic.
The network has delivered more than a few of them, and Keyshia Cole: This is My Story was not only executive produced by the R&b singer, but she starred in it as well.
The film had the task of serving as both a biopic of Keyshia's life, specifically capturing her ascent to fame, while also serving as a tribute to her late mother, Frankie.
It was a fitting biopic to follow the Mary J. Blige double feature of Real Love and Strength of a Woman. The timing of all three couldn't be better falling within Black Music History month. And both women did a strong job with their first projects they executive produced for the network.
In many ways, the pacing of the film was frenetic, sailing through her adolescence so quickly it barely covered ten minutes of the film and jumping all...

Kanye West’s Donda Academy Banned Chairs, Colors, and All Food Except for Sushi, New Lawsuit Alleges
Two former teachers at Kanye West’s Christian prep school, Donda Academy, have filed a lawsuit accusing the school of “multiple health and safety violations, as well as unlawful educational practices,” describing a disorganized, chaotic, and potentially harmful environment.
The allegations come from Cecilia Hailey and Chekarey Byers, who were both teachers at the academy and allege that they were fired earlier this year for trying to address their concerns for students’ well-being. Among their complaints are claims that teachers are underpaid, that the school has no “proper disciplinary system” or janitorial services, that medical access is subpar, and that West forbade all food or drink except for sushi and water. The suit even goes on to claim that West personally spends “$10,000 a week” on sushi.
Beyond the “strictly sushi” diet, West also “did not allow color in the classrooms or artwork hung on the walls” and ensured that all uniforms were all-black,...

Eladio Carrión is a busy man - even by industry standards. Since the release of "SEN2 Kbrn Vol.2" last November, the artist has been traveling, filming videos, and doing press interviews pretty much nonstop. Whenever his docket is clear, Carrión can be found in the studio putting in more work, or "practice," as he calls it. So much so that getting a moment to chat with him required months of staying in communication and shifting around schedules. But when he finally sits down, dressed in a black hat, black hoodie, and glistening chain, he's wearing the smile of a job well done.
"I just turned in the album yesterday, so I'm happy. I've got a little bit of a chip on my shoulder," the artist tells Popsugar.
The album in question? It's titled "3MEN2 Kbrn" (which stands for "tremendo cabrón"), the third and final installment of the "Sen2 Kbrn" series...
