Following the highly positive reaction to the first season of Adult Swim's My Adventures With Superman animated series, the network has announced that season 2 is set to premiere on Saturday, May 25.
The show returns to Toonami with two back-to-back episodes at midnight Et/Pt, followed by one new instalment every Saturday. New episodes will also stream Sundays on Max.
Warner Bros. Animation has also debuted the first trailer, which finds the Man of Steel, Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen continuing their adventures in Metropolis, as the trio is forced to contend with the emerging threat of Lex Luthor and several other supervillains.
Fortunately, the heroes are going to have some pretty formidable back-up, as season 2 will also introduce Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl!
The first season was a big hit with fans and critics, earning a very impressive 96% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai (May 23, Max)

Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai
I have never seen the Gremlins movie, but I know that gremlins smell bad and want to eat us. Just watching five minutes of Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai, I think it is already a really good TV show.
The show is 25 percent happy, 25 percent sad, 25 percent funny, and 25 percent disgusting. The disgusting parts are when fingers come off. It’s about a kid, Sam (Izaac Wang), who says, “I have no faith in myself. I can’t do it.” He has to hide this gremlin named Gizmo, who is so cute, and return it to its home. He finds this girl, Elle (Gabrielle Nevaeh Green), and they go on a big adventure to find its home. He’s kind of like a goody-two-shoes and the...

Whoa, talk about deja vu! it seems like it was just a couple of weeks ago when I was reviewing a new addition to a much-beloved animation franchise…and it was. And here we go again. I’m guessing that the streaming services believe that the winter weather will keep the “wee ones” indoors during January, along with the various Covid “surging waves”. So yes, like that previous flick, this animated outing will bypass theatres and “drop” on a popular platform. Oh, and there are several other big comparisons that we’ll discuss later. And did I mention that this one somewhat celebrates the 20th anniversary of the franchise?...

Strong-willed audiences who didn’t tap out of the “Ice Age” franchise after the first two films were rewarded with the memorable introduction of swashbuckling one-eyed weasel Buck Wild in “Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs.” The heroic and humorous Indiana Jones-esque character was a breath of fresh air for the series and its well-established group dynamic, aiding in the Paleolithic ragtag family’s quest to survive dangerous circumstances. Yet in director John C. Donkin’s stand-alone feature for Disney Plus, “The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild,” the intrepid adventurer is done a disservice. Instead of delivering a sensational serialized spin-off that would complement the captivating character, the filmmakers have misguidedly fashioned a subpar sequel.
Part of the problem is that the story’s sole focus isn’t on the titular hero. Donkin and screenwriters Jim Hecht, Will Schifrin and Ray DeLaurentis anchor their tale to the series...

The “Ice Age” series began in 2002 with Ice Age, a mildly entertaining if not completely forgettable film which told the story of three unlikely friends trying to survive an extinction event with one another. The film starred Ray Romano as Manny, John Leguizamo as Sid, and Denis Leary as Diego. It was a hit and a franchise blossomed.
Subsequent entries – Ice Age: The Meltdown (2006), only notable in that it featured the introduction of Queen Latifah’s Ellie (as well as her “brothers” Eddie and Crash) to the group; Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (2009); Ice Age: Continental Drift (2012); and Ice Age: Collision Course (2016) – suffered from the law of diminishing returns as each sequel grew staler and tread more on the perpetuation of sight gags and cheap humor than the familial relationship between the main characters. The now interminable series continues with The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild, a movie...

Eager for a little independence, possum brothers Crash and Eddie set out to find a place of their own but soon find themselves trapped beneath the ice in a massive cave inhabited by dinosaurs. "It's a bad time for a tropical vacation." 20th Century / Disney+ have debuted the full-length official trailer for an animated sequel titled The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild, arriving in January. We posted the first teaser just a few months ago. The first Ice Age opened in 2002, then they made four mediocre sequels, most recently Ice Age: Collision Course in 2016. Blue Sky Studios shut down after Disney bought Fox and the pandemic finished them off for good. But they're still keeping the franchise going. Get ready for another wacky prehistoric comedy! The fearless one-eyed weasel Buck teams up with mischievous possum brothers Crash & Eddie as they head off to Buck's home – The Dinosaur World. Simon Pegg is back as the voice of Buck, joined by Vincent Tong as Crash, Aaron Harris as Eddie, & Utkarsh Ambudkar as Orson. This looks barely good enough for direct-to-tv, rehashing these characters when they...
