Good Morning America has been rocked by reports of an “affair” between its GMA3 co-anchors Tj Holmes and Amy Robach.
Pictures of the pair around various locations in New York City, including one in which they can be seen holding hands, were published by the Daily Mail earlier this week.
It was reported that Holmes and Robach had ended their respective marriages earlier this year.
The Independent has contacted representatives of Holmes and Robach for comment.
Many in the UK, however, will be unfamiliar with who Holmes is and why people are suddenly talking about him on social media. So here’s a quick breakdown of his life and career.
Holmes was born Loutelious Holmes Jr on 19 August 1977. A graduate of the University of Arkansas, he started his TV career at the local network of Ksnf Channel 16 in Joplin, Missouri.
After stints at Kthv in Little Rock and Kntv in San Fransisco’s Bay Area,...

Around 11:30 Pm Et last night word that new satellite images had pinpointed two large objects in the ocean a couple thousand miles off the coast of Australia electrified TV news teams covering missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370. Fox New Channel‘s Shepard Smith jumped back on the air at midnight to report on the new development, but anchored from the newsroom studio because it takes a big team to fire up The Deck. CNN‘s Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon teamed up; MSNBC‘s Betty Nguyen anchored for that network, handing off to Chris Jansing around 2 Am. ABC‘s lucky David Wright was flying on a U.S. Navy surveillance plane in the Indian Ocean when it was directed to the sightings, and told Nightline “We’ll be the first on the site.” But when ABC’s Good Morning America clocked in this morning, Wright, now back in Perth,...

Levi Johnston is appearing on "The Early Show" Friday (Aug. 27), but CBS has released some juicy tidbits from the interview.
When asked by "Early Show" correspondent Betty Nguyen if he has any regrets, Johnston says, "I don't really regret anything. But the only thing I wish I wouldn't have done is to put out that apology [to Sarah Palin] 'cause it kind of makes me sound like a liar. And I've never lied about anything. So that's probably the only thing. The rest of the stuff I can live with."
Really? He doesn't regret that silly Playgirl photoshoot? Hmm.
When asked if he thinks he can be a better mayor than Sarah Palin, Johnston replies, "Let's hope so. I can't guarantee or promise you anything but I'm gonna try ... That's the goal."
He also comments during the interview on the recent rumors that his ex-girlfriend and baby mama Bristol Palin is part of...

In an exclusive new interview with CBS News' "The Early Show" this Friday, Levi Johnston tells correspondent Betty Nguyen that he regrets an apology he issued to the Palins last month. "I don't really regret anything. But the only thing I wish I wouldn't have done is to put out that apology [to Sarah Palin in People Magazine] 'cause it kind of makes me sound like a liar. And I've never lied about anything. So that's probably the only thing. The rest of the stuff I can live with," says Johnston. In his original apology to the Palin family, Johnston said: "Last year, after Bristol and I broke up, I was unhappy and a little angry. Unfortunately, against my better judgment, I publicly said things about the Palins that were not completely true. I have already privately apologized to Todd and Sarah. Since my statements were public, I owe it to the Palins to publicly apologize.

Betty Nguyen has left cable for network news.
The former CNN anchor will co-anchor the "CBS Morning News" in addition to reporting for CBS' "The Early Show," according to CBS News.
Nguyen, 35, had co-anchored "CNN Saturday Morning," "CNN Sunday Morning" and the weekend editions of "CNN Newsroom" with T. J. Holmes. As a correspondent, she's covered a number of major stories worldwide as well as domestic. Before joining CNN, she had worked with a CBS affiliate in Dallas, Texas and before that, in Waco, Texas.
She's received a regional Emmy award, was named the first Vietnamese-American to anchor a national television news broadcast in the U.S. by the Smithsonian and landed on Maxim.com's "TV's 10 Hottest News Anchors" list in 2008.
[Update] It was previously announced that anchor Russ Mitchell would leave "Early Show" and become the national correspondent for CBS and continue anchoring Sunday's "CBS Evening News." Erica Hill, who...
