Harrison Ford was involved in an incident with a passenger plane on Monday as he was landing his private aircraft, according to NBC News.
The actor reportedly flew dangerously close to a taxiing passenger plane after mistakenly landing in a taxiway instead of the runway he was cleared for.
Ford, 74, was piloting his single-engine plane when tower control gave him the go-ahead to land at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California. But when the actor instead maneuvered toward a taxiway, his plane flew over an American Airlines departing flight with 110 passengers on board and a six-person crew. The Dallas-bound...

And that's because he's what you would call a professional. NBC Nightly News' Brian Williams was delivering a story about American Airlines filing for bankruptcy on last night's broadcast when he was rudely interrupted by a fire alarm! (Don't worry, it was just a drill.) "You'll forgive us, we have a fire alarm announcement going on here in the studio," he told the audience. The best part was watching the news anchor carry on as if nothing was wrong, even when the alarm turned into whooping sirens. Although, he did chuckle about it a little bit, which made it even better. As he tossed to correspondent Tom Costello, Williams said, "We should advise our viewers...

You have to give Brian Williams credit for his the-show-must-go-on effort when his opening on last night’s NBC Nightly News was interrupted by a fire alarm inside the newscast’s new studio. Luckily for East Coast viewers, the story on the American Airlines bankruptcy called for a toss to reporter Tom Costello in Washington DC, where the alarm wasn’t a factor. Williams retaped the segment for the West Coast, which didn’t get to share in the fun.

Brian Williams led off Tuesday's (Nov. 29) "NBC Nightly News" with a story about the American Airlines bankruptcy -- and a little bit of unplanned accompaniment in the background.
A few seconds into the broadcast, a fire alarm started droning in the background. Williams looked toward the ceiling and let viewers know what was happening, then coolly continued with his introduction.
The alarm continued too, and before Williams threw the story to correspondent Tom Costello, he noted that no one was in any danger and the alarm was just a drill. And we all learned the "Nightly News" studio isn't soundproof.
Here's video of the badly timed alarm, courtesy of Mediaite.
