If I were to describe Emily Blunt’s red carpet style, I would say it’s sophisticated, polished, and feminine. She often leans toward the classics but does not hesitate to experiment with contemporary styles.
Such is the case of her recent red carpet appearance. On Friday, Blunt wore a bespoke deep royal blue Jenny Packham jumpsuit to the Berlin premiere of her latest film, The Fall Guy, at Uci Luxe Mercedes Platz.
Her co-star Ryan Gosling, director David Leitch, and producer Kelly McCormick joined her on the red carpet, but Blunt stood out in her blue and gold outfit.

Universal Studios Hollywood will host a new live show, “The Fall Guy Stuntacular Pre-Show,” inspired by 87North’s new film “The Fall Guy,” starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt. The live show, a part of the theme park’s Waterworld attraction, will open April 27 and end May 19.
The entertainment performance features an original storyline that provides a peek behind the curtain of how stunt performances are designed and brought to life and will use the existing Waterworld set.
In a promotional video shared Thursday, “Fall Guy” actor Hannah Waddingham presents the live-show idea as a pitch to Gosling, Blunt and David Leitch, the director of the movie and a former stuntman. Leitch says “I smell a live show!” after seeing the still of Blunt and Gosling riding a motorcycle next to a shark and a bus full of Universal Studio goers.

Taylor Swift gave Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt rave reviews for their “All Too Well” parody during Gosling’s Saturday Night Live monologue this weekend.
The night’s opening bit started with Gosling turning Swift’s classic break-up anthem into a prolonged, mournful coda on Barbie and his Year of Ken. About halfway through, Blunt showed up to scold Gosling for living in the past and not doing enough to promote their upcoming movie together, The Fall Guy. It seems Taylor Swift also can’t get enough of Ryan Gosling as Ken.
On Saturday’s episode of Saturday Night Live, host Ryan Gosling was joined by his The Fall Guy co-star Emily Blunt to sing a rendition of Taylor Swift’s hit song “All Too Well” during the monologue.
The setup was that Gosling said he initially said he wasn’t going to talk about his Barbie character on the show, but he changed his mind and decided to sing about his feelings.
“You know, when you play a character that hard, that long, just letting go feels like a breakup and for processing a breakup, there’s really only one thing that can help: the music of the great Taylor Swift,” Gosling said, sitting down at a piano and donning sunglasses and a white fur coat à la his character’s in the movie.

Taylor Swift is praising Ryan Gosling’s Saturday Night Live monologue where Emily Blunt joined him to sing an “All Too Well” cover.
Gosling hosted the NBC late-night sketch show on Saturday, April 13, and attempted to break up with Ken, his character from Barbie. To express his feelings, he covered Swift’s song “All Too Well,” reminiscing about his experiences playing the character in the Greta Gerwig-directed film.
“All Too Well (Ryan and Emily’s Version)!!!” Swift posted on Instagram, sharing Gosling and Blunt’s performance from SNL. “Watch me accidentally catch myself singing this version on your. This monologue is everything.”

Emily Blunt wants Ryan Gosling to stop being just Ken and focus on promoting their new movie “The Fall Guy.”
When Gosling hosted this week’s episode of “Saturday Night Live” this week, he began his monologue by playfully opening up about his struggles to let go of his “Barbie” character following his viral Oscars performance.
“You know, when you play a character that hard, that long, just letting go feels like a breakup and for processing a breakup, there’s really only one thing that can help: The music of the great Taylor Swift,” Gosling said before launching into a parody of Swift’s “All Too Well” that saw him dramatically putting on Ken’s fur coat.

Rebecca Ferguson says her recent revelation that a former co-star treated her abusively on a film set caused some panic among her former castmates.
The Dune: Part Two and Mission: Impossible franchise star says she received calls from several of her former co-stars after she went viral in February for recalling how an “absolute idiot” actor screamed at her and caused her to walk crying off a set. Ferguson’s anecdote caused a media and online frenzy, with people trying to determine which of Ferguson’s former co-stars — who include several A-list actors — was the toxic thespian.
In a new interview, Ferguson told The Jess Cagle Show on SiriusXM that she was “not expecting” her comments to start such a guessing game.
“Number one, yes, I kind of enjoyed the grab,” she said. “But what I realized even at the age that I am now — 21 — is it doesn’t matter.

This point was brought up to Blunt in an interview with Games Radar. She recently worked with Nolan on Oppenheimer, playing the titular character’s wife Kitty Oppenheimer.
The actor seemed to disagree with the notion that Nolan didn’t write quality female characters. According to her, her role in Oppenheimer felt like one of the best ever written for her.

The "Barbenheimer" phenomenon was one of the few bright spots in a rotten year for the film industry, which was marred by a pack of greedy, morally bankrupt executives attempting to strongarm the Writers Guild of America and the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television Radio Artists into striking deals that would've financially damaged many of these unions' members while kicking open the door to all manner of technological abuses. For those of us who've loved movies our whole lives, and believe that motion picture artists should be fairly compensated, "Barbenheimer" was a welcome reminder of why this battle mattered.
It was also just a fun release schedule quirk that pitted a deathly serious drama from a stellar filmmaker against a wildly inventive celebration of an iconic doll from a terrific director whose sensibility is, thus far, thrillingly difficult to pin down.

As AI is becoming more and more entrenched in modern music-making, many are testing the boundaries of the still-quite-new technology. One such artist is “You’re Beautiful” singer James Blunt, who asked AI to replicate his lyrical style, only to find that “either AI comes up with something very, very generic or my lyrics are just absolutely mundane.”
The mostly-joking comments from Blunt arrived in his recent interview with Squeeze’s Chris Difford on the podcast I Never Thought It Would Happen. After being asked what he thought about Young people using AI to write lyrics for them, Blunt said, “Every single one of us must have, having heard of [AI], typed in and then written ‘Give me a verse based on this, in the style of, in my case, a James Blunt lyric’”

Despite having a number of iconic characters in his bag, Ken just might have one of the most career-defining moments in Ryan Gosling’s career. And thus, it is not that easy to leave that behind. Barbie not only was one of the movies that took the world by storm but also the box office, all thanks to the directorial greatness of Greta Gerwig. Although already known as somewhat of an icon, after Barbie’s billion-dollar success, her name has now been cemented.
And as Gosling moves forward from Barbie and joins forces with the Oppenheimer star, Emily Blunt, it turns out he still can’t quite leave the Gerwig magic behind. Blunt recently revealed that her character in The Fall Guys was based on the Barbie director.

One of the funniest moments at the recent Academy Awards ceremony occurred when Best Supporting Actress nominee Emily Blunt (“Oppenheimer”) and Best Supporting Actor nominee Ryan Gosling (“Barbie”) appeared together to pay a special tribute to the talented stunt performers who are so often overlooked for their indelible contributions to the motion picture industry. If their chemistry suggested anything, it’s that moviegoers are in for a real treat when their upcoming film “The Fall Guy” drops into theaters in May.

A new trailer has having landed for the action romance, out next month. And along with a Gosling voiceover – and a one-liner that raised our anticipation threefold – it looks like we’ll be seeing him do lots of stunt work as he portrays TV’s most famous fictional stuntman. Joining Gosling and Blunt in the action comedy are Hannah Waddingham (Ted Lasso), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Bullet Train), Winston Duke (Black Panther franchise), and Academy Award nominee Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All at Once).
Drew Pearce (Hobbs & Shaw) wrote the screenplay, stuntman David Leitch directed, with Leitch, Gosling, Kelly McCormick, and Guymon Casady produced. Executive producers include Pearce, Geoff Shaevitz, and the creator of the original Fall Guy television series, Glen A. Larson.

With his triumphant Oscar night performance of 'I'm Just Ken' still ringing in our collective lug-holes, it's a good time to be Ryan Thomas Gosling. And given the positive buzz from its recent initial screening at the SXSW, signs are good for his next cinematic outing, The Fall Guy, to continue the era of Funny Gosling that anyone who loved The Nice Guys has been anticipating for years. Check out the latest trailer:
Set to a version of Journey's 'Any Way You Want It,' it's a funny blast of Ott action and Gosling being uber-charming with Emily Blunt. As for the film itself, it's the latest offering from David Leitch, who has shown a knack for blending action with laughs of late, especially with Bullet Train.

Emily Blunt has had one of the most successful careers in Hollywood. From The Devil Wears Prada, to A Quiet Place, and now Oppenheimer, versatility is one of her strongest suits. She has played serious role, funny roles, complex roles, and even a flying woman. Through her talent, she has earned respect and an Oscar nomination, proving herself to be a force to be reckoned with.
Emily Blunt as Kitty Oppenheimer in Oppenheimer
However, there will always come a movie in an actor’s career, which will tank in ratings and be a massive flop. The experience is unavoidable, and unfortunately Blunt is not exempt from it. In 2010, the actress starred in a movie called The Wolfman. The film was a massive flop and found it very difficult to maintain relevant.

When Dwayne Johnson & Emily Blunt Were Warned By Disney Over Their S*x Toy Joke During Jungle Cruise Promotion (Photo Credit – IMDb)
Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt share a fantastic dynamic, and it all began with their film Jungle Cruise. The former WWE champion might reunite again with the Oppenheimer star for the upcoming mixed martial arts movie The Smashing Machine. Dwayne and Emily’s fun banter is often shown in their interviews. At one point, they went a little bit overboard and received a call from Disney asking them to dial it down a bit when their banter began to involve adult toys.
Their film Jungle Cruise came out in 2021, and besides Emily and Dwayne, it also featured Jack Whitehall, Jesse Plemons, and Paul Giamatti in significant roles. The movie was based on Disneyland’s theme park ride, in which a small riverboat takes a group of travelers through...

That’s a wrap on Oscar season 2024 — but first, the Variety Awards Circuit Podcast’s Roundtable dives in one last time to take a final look at the highs, lows and head scratchers from Sunday night’s ceremony. “Oppenheimer” did huge, but it didn’t quite sweep. “Poor Things” over-poor-formed. We’re still not quite sure what Al Pacino was doing before handing out the best picture Academy

It's been a long time coming, but "The Fall Guy" is shaping up to be a spectacular time at the movies. In development since at least 2010, the adaptation of the 1980s TV series is finally set to debut in theaters May 3, 2024, and is easily one of the most anticipated films of the year. Directed by David Leitch -- who, along with his "John Wick" directing partner Chad Stahelski, is basically responsible for defining the style of modern action filmmaking -- the movie stars Ryan Gosling as seasoned stunt performer Colt Seavers, who reluctantly becomes a real-life action hero when he's asked to track down a missing movie star. But while "The Fall Guy" is unapologetically action-packed, it's also looking to make you chuckle along the way.
If his stellar work in "The Nice Guys," his Papyrus font "SNL" sketch, or his performance of "I'm Just Ken" at the 2024 Oscars wasn't enough to convince you,...

An action rom-com with all the elements for something iconic, David Leitch’s The Fall Guy features truly remarkable stunt work and charismatic performances by Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt, yet buckles under the weight of its plot. Adapted from a 1981 action series that lasted five years, the film would have been best-served as a complete reboot jettisoning much of a plot that intrudes and ultimately means less time for Blunt and Gosling together.
What remains, though, is a love letter to the craft of stunt work with stuntman-turned-director Leitch providing a behind-the-scenes peek both on the set of the giant-budget action film Blunt’s Jody Moreno is directing and, later, during the film’s credit sequence. The Fall Guy, along with Richard Rush’s classic The Stunt Man and Dan Hartley’s thoughtful documentary David Holmes: The Boy Who Lived, are all excellent cases for creating a new Academy...

As Ryan Gosling took the mic for a special screening of his latest film “The Fall Guy,” the Oscar nominee was eager to salute the stunt community — in particular, to show off the record-breaking stunt that his double performed.
“There’s a gentleman who buckles me into a car — that’s Logan Holladay — for a stunt he’s about to do,” Gosling told the audience assembled at the Grove in Los Angeles on Wednesday night. “Then he goes on to do eight-and-a-half cannon rolls, which is a world record. And then he pulls me out of the car and pats me on the back for the stunt that he just did.”
That’s what makes “The Fall Guy” unique, Gosling explained. “In any other movie, you wouldn’t know that. But in this movie, you do. The lack of recognition [of] the contribution that they make to cinema, to some of...

The upcoming The Fall Guy, in theaters on May 3rd, and a salute to stunt people, had it’s premiere at SXSW earlier this week.
AP reported:
The SXSW premiere of “The Fall Guy” came with some of its own stunts. A pair of motorcycles sped through the crowds milling outside the Paramount Theater before Blunt and Gosling arrived in the back of a pick-up. Blunt and Gosling weren’t the only ones fresh from the Academy Awards. Leitch and his wife, Kelly McCormick, (a producer on “The Fall Guy”) produced a clip reel of stunts for the telecast. Though stunt performance isn’t an Oscar category (a sore point that comes up in “The Fall Guy”), Leitch thinks it will happen soon.

He was joined at The Grove by director David Leitch and co-stars Emily Blunt, Winston Duke, Hannah Waddingham and Stephanie Hsu, as they gave the crowd an early sneak peek of the film. It's been several days now since this year's Oscars ceremony, and yet I'm still scratching my head as to why the Academy had Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt present a montage honoring stunts and stunt performers without mentioning why they had selected these two specific actors to do so. Then there's the bitter irony of the Academy celebrating stunt performers while stubbornly refusing to give them an Oscar of their own, but that's a whole other rabbit hole.

Ryan Gosling is probably one of the best physical comedians of his generation. Writing these words a handful of days after the Oscars where, even though he didn’t take home a prize, Gosling won the night by belting “I’m Just Ken” in Margot Robbie’s ear, is to state the obvious. But it wasn’t that long ago when the actor was mostly renowned for playing remote and aloof characters. Think First Man’s Neil Armstrong, Blade Runner 2049’s K, and Drive’s, um, Driver. It’s thus satisfying to see audiences finally come around to recognizing the star’s stealthily hilarious comic timing.

In The Fall Guy, audiences are treated to a kinetic journey through the lens of Hollywood’s most daring yet often overlooked contributors: stunt performers. Starring an ensemble cast led by Ryan Gosling, Emily Blunt, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Hannah Waddingham, Stephanie Hsu, Winston Duke and Teresa Palmer, this film not only entertains with its action-packed sequences but also delves deep into the emotional and physical tolls endured by those who bring our favorite cinematic moments to life.
Drawing inspiration from Glen A. Larson’s 1980s TV series, The Fall Guy cleverly navigates the intersection between homage and reinvention. At this year’s Academy Awards, “The Fall Guy” stars Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt presented a video tribute to stunt performers that included clips ranging from the silent era up through recent action juggernauts like “Rrr” and the “Fast & Furious” series. And yet, the segment didn’t come with an award attached.

“The Fall Guy” cannon-rolled into SXSW on Tuesday, injecting a big dose of star power and a movie that celebrates moviemaking into the Austin atmosphere as the festival reached its halfway point.
The Universal Pictures action-comedy stars Ryan Gosling, Emily Blunt and Hannah Waddingham in a romantic comedy romp that bears no resemblance to the drama series that aired on ABC from 1981 to 1986. Gosling plays a veteran stuntman for a self-obsessed movie star who gets wrapped up in a murder plot and falls in love with a budding director.
“It was a love letter to stunts and to crews,” “Fall Guy” director David Leitch explained to the SXSW crowd after the film had its world premiere at Austin’s Paramount Theatre. Leitch noted that Gosling’s incredible versatility as an actor gave them a lot of room to expand the story.
“Ryan’s an amazing actor,” said Leitch, who previously worked as a stuntman.

The protagonist of David Leitch’s entertaining new action-comedy The Fall Guy doesn’t have many complaints about life as a stuntman. Sure, he does most of the hard work for half the recognition, but Colt Seavers (an ace Ryan Gosling) gets hype about jumping out of helicopters, diving off balconies and performing other dangerous physical feats that make movies look cool. He’s not an adrenaline junkie; he just understands the critical role stuntmen play on set.
Colt has been a stunt double for Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), an international superstar with a lethal combo of arrogance and insecurity, for six years. The two share the type of sacred bond that’s only possible with someone who is paid to risk major injury and possible death for you.
