The mood got decidedly funnier and edgier in this year’s Emmy race for Original Music and Lyrics. It was a badly needed tonic for the country. Most notably, Tina Fey joined the musical fray for the first time, looking for her 10th Emmy with the hilarious “Hell No,” a tribute to Beyonce’s “Lemonade” (featuring an enraged Tituss Burgess) from “Unbreakable Kimmie Schmidt.”
But, given the current zeitgeist, it’s not surprising that Chance the Rapper was nominated for his Run-d.M.C.–inspired rap tribute to Obama, “Last Christmas,” from “Saturday Night Live,” or that Rachel Bloom was back again with the raunchy “We Tapped That Ass” from “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.” There was even room for the excruciatingly uncomfortable “The Ballad of Claus Jorstad (Devil Stool)” from “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” and and the animated burlesque of “Jing-a-Ling-a-Ling” from “Duck the Halls: A Mickey Mouse Christmas Special.”

The Kardashians have babies on the brain.
On Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 13 Episode 4, Rob is mentally preparing for fatherhood, Kim has surgery to try and prepare her uterus to carry another child and Khloe gives birth to a different kind of baby... her new denim line.
Khloe is asking Rob about his hospital plans because Chyna is about to give birth. It's weird because their baby special aired back in December a few months after Chyna gave birth, so none of this seems relevant anymore.

Dancing With the Stars kicks off its 24th season on Monday, March 20.
Ahead of the premiere, airing at 8 p.m. Et on ABC, Et's breaking down the dance competition's most memorable moments of all time.
From major missteps to behind-the-scenes drama, here's 11 of our favorite bombshells from DWTS history.
1. Lochtegate continues.
Fresh off his gold medal-winning victory for Team USA during the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio and in the middle of a major controversy due to his false report of being robbed at gunpoint following the games, the swimmer traded in his Speedo for sparkly ballroom costumes in hopes of restoring his image during the show's most recent 23rd season.
But during week one, two protesters stormed the stage while he and Cheryl Burke were performing, proving Lochtegate was far from over. Sam Sotoodeh and Barzeen Soroudi were wearing "anti-Lochte" T-shirts and did not have tickets to the ABC taping when they were booked for trespassing. Regardless...

Disney had its biggest hit in years on its hands with "Frozen," the magical tale grossing over $1 billion worldwide and becoming a cultural touchstone that surprised everyone involved with the sheer level of its success.
Though there's been shorts, TV specials and rides based on the property, the full sequel to the film - confirmed a full year ago, hasn't seemingly made much progress in that time. Now, the first film's star Kristen Bell (Anna) has revealed to Collider that she starts recording dialogue for the film later this month:
"They've just written it and they're still doing tweaks, but I think we should be recording this month. The story is great, and they exude quality. What I know about that whole team is that they wouldn't just put something out to put it out. That's why it took them so long to even announce that we were doing a second one.
Though there's been shorts, TV specials and rides based on the property, the full sequel to the film - confirmed a full year ago, hasn't seemingly made much progress in that time. It's been 11 years since Jonathan Bennett stole Lindsay Lohan's heart in "Mean Girls," and he gets reminded of this role every ... single ... day. toofab's Candice Brock caught up with the actor at the 3rd Annual Reality Show Awards on Wednesday night, where they reminisced about his character -- the dreamy Aaron Samuels -- in the uber-popular high school flick. While it's been over a decade since the hunky leading man was stuck in a love triangle between Cady Heron (Lohan) and Regina George (Rachel McAdams), fans can't seem to forget one infamous line from the movie. "Fans come up every single day and say, 'Oh your hair looks sexy pushed back,' and I love it," he told us. "Someone said, 'What's it like to have that happen?' I don't know what it would be like to have someone come up and not reference 'Mean Girls' every day.

Talent: Singing
Tell us more: Look, we don't think Misstasia are really for us. We're far too cold-hearted and cynical for four, relentlessly cheery young women singing Disney classics. But even grumps like us can't deny their talent - they have great harmonies and vocals. Of course, Disney fan Amanda was instantly won over - even admitting that she wishes she could have used her golden buzzer on them - but Simon was naturally more guarded: "This could be a really good idea, or you are the most annoying girl group in history." Either way, it was four yeses for Misstasia.

The production of children.s TV in Australia has a more sustainable future than ever despite audience fragmentation and the squeeze on licence fees, according to a new book. However the sector does face the risk of the commercial free-to-air networks continuing to reduce their investment in local children.s content, and of budget cuts crimping the ABC.s commitment to kids TV. Anna Potter.s tome Creativity, Culture & Commerce: Producing Australian Children.s Television With Public Value was launched at the Australian Children's Television Foundation in Melbourne today. A senior lecturer in screen and media studies at the University of the Sunshine Coast, Potter takes a swipe at the Acma, suggesting its C drama classification is no longer a marker of quality. Of 78 applications for a C rating between 2008 and 2013 while there was an exponential increase in animation, only one was refused by the regulator. .Such a success rate...

Microsoft has completely shut down Xbox Entertainment Studios, but at least one of the bygone studio's projects has still managed to see the light of day. Atari: Game Over, which chronicles the disastrous impact of the 1982 E.T. video game often regarded as the worst of all time, is now available on Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Atari: Game Over's subject is one of the most famous urban legends in video game history. The E.T. game was so poorly received that, in 1983, Atari decided to bury hundreds of unsold copies at a landfill in Alamogordo, New Mexico. This story remained the stuff of legend until 2013, when an excavation effort run by Fuel Industries turned up the long-discarded cartridges. Atari: Game Over, directed by Zak Penn, shares this story with viewers and includes interviews with Howard Scott Warshaw (the designer of the E.T. game) and Atari founder Nolan Bushnell. Jonathan Bennett was told he was in jeopardy, and then immediately had to get up and dance to Pitbull's Men In Black 3 song "Back In Time." So, in the vein of Men in Black, they donned government issue suits and Jonathan delivered his best performance ever. Sure, the set designers might have confused Men In Black with The Matrix, but it was pretty spectacular.
