Adventure Time showrunner Adam Muto shared his thoughts on why there was a race change with Donald Glover's character from the series.
Glover returned as a part of the recent animated spin-off Adventure Time: Fionna & Cake, reprising his role from the mainline series.
The Atlanta actor had previously voiced Marshall Lee, a punk rock gender-swapped version of the beloved Marceline the Vampire Queen.

Donald Glover surprised fans when he showed up to reprise his role of Marshall Lee in the new Adventure Time spinoff Fionna and Cake.
It makes sense for Glover's character to appear in the spinoff. After all, he first appeared in Episode 9 of Adventure Time's third season, suitably titled "Fionna and Cake", as a gender-swapped version of Marceline.
Oddly enough, when Marshall Lee appeared in Fiona and Cake, he appeared as a simple young adult human who was a friend to Fionna and a local street musician. This is obviously quite the shift from the usual half-demon vampire king that fans are used to seeing.

Following Adventure Time‘s conclusion in 2018, some storytelling doors were left wide open. One unexplored idea was the multiverse, which existed in the canon long before the modern era of TV and film had multiverse mania. In the latest At limited series, Fionna and Cake, that long-awaited promise die-hard fans anticipated is finally fulfilled thanks to the canonical gender-swapped characters. And it all happens in a bold new dimension unlike any Adventure Time series to date.
Much of the original show’s audience was around pre-teen to teenage ages. Those fans are now in their 20s, experiencing new adult emotions like depression and dissatisfaction that didn’t spin through their minds as children. That all corresponds directly to Fionna Campbell (Madeleine Martin), a Bridget Jones-esque young woman living in a small studio apartment in a non-magical, metropolitan town where many notable Ooo residents are human like her best friends...

Series creator Kurt Sutter was thrown a mid-season curveball when he was forced to write out actor Donal Logue, who was to be the sixth season's central villain but had to leave early to focus on History's Vikings. Luckily for fans, the stars aligned and by the time the credits finished rolling everything worked out beautifully -- or horrifically, depending which way you stare at it. [Warning: Major Spoilers Ahead] The opening half of the season deals with Us Marshall Lee Toric (Donal Logue) and his quest for vengeance against Samcro. Logue does a tremendous job bringing a unique twist to this hard-headed beast of a man who will stop at nothing to bring down the club that he feels is responsible for his sister's death. There's a great, and surprisingly funny, moment early on when he...

The penultimate season of Sons of Anarchy has exploded onto television in bombastic fashion, featuring a shocking scene derived from the Sandy Hook’s massacre that is sure to split opinions around the world, torture porn (the literal kind), more characters addicted to heroin, and some shots of Charlie Hunnan’s ass to tide women over until 50 Shades of Gray hits theaters. Accounting for all of this and more though, series show runner Kurt Sutter has painted a poetic picture of themes that symbolize all hope, trust, and friendship are gone; something that you can bet will pave the way to a Season full of more betrayal than ever before.
Two weeks have passed since the climactic ending of Season 5 that left Samcro’S Redwood Originals’ friendship in shambles and hanging on by a thread. Jax is lost and still torn between his mother Gemma and...

You know damned well this season of FX's "Sons of Anarchy" is going to leave a mark, more like a lopped off limb, as the Samcro saga takes the Teller Morrow clan to the edges of the law and back. FX.s hit original drama series returns for its sixth season this September on FX. Season 6 brings white hot Donal Logue back for at least seven episodes as former U.S. Marshall Lee Toric. Logue is cracking good on "Copper" for BBC America too. Toric is cryptic yet fully intent on exacting pain in Charming to those indirectly responsible for his sister's brutal murder at the hands of Otto (showrunner Kurt Sutter) whose depth of suffering on this series has...

Earlier this week, it was announced two stars are heading back to FX's Sons of Anarchy next season after turning in two memorable performances and creator Kurt Sutter is working on a new show for the network.
According to Deadline, Jimmy Smits will reprise his role as Neron "Nero" Padilla, a former gangbanger who gets pulled back into the life thanks to his partnership with main character Jax (Charlie Hunnam). In a separate report, Donal Logue will return as former U.S. Marshall Lee Toric.

We will see more of former U.S. Marshall Lee Toric on FX‘s Sons Of Anarchy. Donal Logue, who introduced the character in the last three episodes of Soa‘s fifth season, will be back in Season 6 for a major arc, reprising the character of Toric, forced into retirement because of his history of violence. Logue and Soa creator Kurt Sutter had talked for years about Logue guesting on the show before the timing finally worked, so it makes sense for Sutter to keep the actor around for a little longer.

Cartoon Network has revealed their 2013-2014 TV show lineup today and, much to the dismay of fans, confirmed that that “Green Lantern: The Animated Series” and “Young Justice” have been canceled. While this may not come as the biggest surprise for the “Young Justice” viewers who paid attention to both the series’ hiatus and subsequent cancellation of its comic book counterpart, the news certainly comes as a blow for fans. Together with the end of “Green Lantern: The Animated Series”, this leaves only “Beware the Batman” and “Teen Titans Go” as the remaining DC Nation shows, both of which have yet to premiere on the network.
While the absence of the shows didn’t necessarily cement the cancellation of the series, Giancarlo Volpe, the showrunner for “Green Lantern: Tas” confirmed the news via his Twitter stating, “This time we knew. They just didn’t want us to announce it publicly until they did.

His entry in the Who’s Who of Victorian Cinema claims that Edward Raymond Turner (along with Frederick Marshall Lee) patented the first three-color film process that led to a usable system. After you get over the shock of there being a Who’s Who of Victorian Cinema, check out the first color movies from the National Media Museum. Shot in 1902, the images were created by shooting the images through red, green and blue frames before projecting them one on top of the other. The restoration process is just as fascinating as the images themselves, and the new version of history that was uncovered in a storage room is something to think on. I wonder what Turner would think if he saw Avatar. I also wonder what antiques the people of 2122 will uncover from their archives to marvel at their primitiveness.

The world's earliest colour film footage has been uncovered by this week, after resting in a tin for 110 years. The footage, which was shot by English inventor Edward Raymond Turner, features various test films of colourful objects, including a macaw, a goldfish, and children playing with sunflowers. The Film Stage reports that the film was discovered by Michael Harvey, curator of cinematography at the National Media Museum in Bradford, who worked with experts at the BFI National Archive to transfer the material into digital files. Film historians have regarded Turner's invention, which he collaborated on with entrepreneurs Frederick Marshall Lee and Charles Urban, as a (more)...
