Exclusive: Nicholas Galitzine (Cinderella) has been cast opposite Julianne Moore in Sky and AMC’s buzzy period drama Mary & George about powerful royal family favorites Mary Villiers and her son George.
Filming on the drama series is now underway in the UK.
Oscar winner Moore will play Mary Villiers, Countess of Buckingham, who in 17th century England molded her beautiful son, George (Galitzine), to seduce King James I and become his all-powerful lover. Through outrageous scheming, the pair rose from humble beginnings to become one of the richest, most titled and influential mother and sons England had ever seen.
Based on a true story, the eight-part limited series is created by DC Moore, whose credits include Killing Eve, Temple and Not Safe for Work.
The series will mark only the second time Boogie Nights and Still Alice star Moore has led a TV drama after 2021 Apple miniseries Lisey’s Story.

The History Channel is on a roll, and they have announced another new miniseries! They will explore America's beginning in a series called Jamestown, which will explore the new colony.
The series will be developed by Hell on Wheels executive producer John Shiban. It is inspired by Benjamin Woolley's book Savage Kingdom: The True Story of Jamestown, 1607, and the Settlement of America. The story will explore "the true story of the beginnings of America and follow the dreamers and schemers who settled in the new colony of Jamestown. It evokes a stirring epic time in American history, with all its greed, gore and glory."
The History Channel has been bringing us great miniseries, and as a fan of American history, this is a show that will definitely appeal to me. I'm excited to see how it turns out! Here's a description of the book:
Four centuries ago, and thirteen years before the Mayflower,...

Teen Wolf
The 45-second trailer for the second half of MTV's third season of "Teen Wolf" is out ahead of its January 6th premiere.
Rather than a collection of clips though, the trailer is a specially created, metaphor heavy piece in which a bloodstained Stiles is trapped in a waking nightmare.
Gotham
So how will Fox's upcoming Batman prequel-themed "Gotham" work exactly? Bleeding Cool have reported a rumor that suggests the pilot clearly spells things out:
"The pilot script for 'Gotham' has Detective Jim Gordon trying to solve a very famous double homicide - the Waynes". This would confirm Bruce Wayne is a child in the series setting and is a legitimate way to keep Batman out of the picture.
Louis Ck
Comedian Louis C.K. will stay with the FX network as he has just signed a development deal to create pilots and potential new series which he will supervise as executive producer.
