The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and music go together like the Ninja Turtles and pizza; the two are intrinsically linked. From the iconic theme song of the 1987 animated series, to Vanilla Ice’s tie-in “Ninja Rap” for 1991’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze, and even their semi-forgotten 1990 stage rock and roll musical Coming Out of Their Shells, no matter the genre, these green teens are always rocking big tunes.
With music playing such a big role in the Turtles’ history, director Jeff Rowe and executive producer Seth Rogen had to be extra thoughtful when selecting the songs for the soundtrack of the Turtles’ latest film, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. With its distinctive animation style, the feature film finds our pizza-loving Turtles escaping their sheltered existence in the sewers as they seek to be accepted as normal teenagers through acts of heroism.

Two of the Cryptkeeper's big screen stories—Demon Knight and Bordello of Blood—will receive stellar home media treatments this fall from Scream Factory, with both films set to be released as Collector's Edition Blu-rays on October 20th. In early July, the cover art for the anticipated releases was revealed, and now their full lists of special features have been announced.
Scream Factory's guaranteeing the ultimate Halloween treat for fans of Demon Knight and Bordello of Blood, as the special features list for the former includes a new audio commentary with Demon Knight director Ernest Dickerson, while the latter has a new audio commentary with Bordello of Blood co-writer and producer A.L. Katz.
Below, we have the official press release with the full special features lists, and in case you missed it, we also have a look at the final cover art for the Collector's Edition releases.

Every week, MTV Newsroom editor Kyle Anderson runs an in-office poll on the topic du jour. The idea is to acquaint you readers with some of the crazy people who inhabit the MTV newsroom. Last week's poll asked the difficult question: what is your favorite film soundtrack of all time?
As you've likely already figured out, that's a particularly relevant topic for MTV Movies Blog. I didn't have much trouble with my pick: "Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight." Here's what I had to say to the Newsroom audience:
"This one is easy for me, though it may earn me a few behind-the-back snickers around the office. The soundtrack to "Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight" remains my favorite to this day. It dropped while I was in high school, and every track was something I wanted to go home and crank up to 11. Let's start with the face-melting crunch: Sepultura,...

Welcome to the weekly Newsroom Poll, where we will give you a sneak peek into the lives and minds of some of the correspondents, writers, editors and producers here at MTVNews.com. Every week, they'll answer a poll question that will reveal some of what we talk about behind the scenes here in the newsroom. Enjoy!
This week, details surfaced about one of the most hotly anticipated albums of the fall. No, not Jay-z's The Blueprint 3 or Lil Wayne's Rebirth. We're talking about the soundtrack to "New Moon," which will likely feature contributions from Radiohead's Thom Yorke, Muse, Kings of Leon and Death Cab for Cutie. There was also the announcement of the soundtrack to "Jennifer's Body," the new Diablo Cody-penned horror film. With that, combined with the quarter-century anniversary of one of the finest film soundtracks ever constructed (that being Prince's Purple Rain), this week's question is:...

As a nice change of pace, I am finally reviewing an album without the threat of violent reprisal. This time around there was no James Zahn with a rubber hose looming over me, and no Doctor Raven throwing the CD case at me and running away. Recently on the Fangoria Musick MySpace page, a reader asked why we don’t cover hip-hop and rap. I thought that was a good question -there’s certainly enough gore and violence in rap to make it dark and edifying. Also, there are a few rap acts that I enjoy immensely, but they’re older and not adequate representations of what the genre is currently doing. By and large, modern rap -like country --makes my stomach turn with disgust and contempt. It seems like there really aren’t that many good rappers left, and of those that remain, most focus on materialism. Gone is the lyrical brilliance of N.
