- Credited on over 50 feature films, Giovanni Arcadu is an accomplished music supervisor with a unique international background. His extensive experience in different countries has allowed him to expand his knowledge and relationships to work effectively in different cultures with varying regulations within the music and film industries. With a masters degree in law from Milan, Italy and a specialization in copyright law from UCLA in Los Angeles, combined with nearly 20 years of professional experience collaborating on movies and TV series with acclaimed directors and composers, Giovanni has acquired the skills needed to navigate all aspects of a negotiation and the final agreement.
In 2002, Giovanni Arcadu opened the first agency for film composers in Italy as a division within the well-established Moviement Agency from the Colorado Film Group where he represented some of the most talented and successful Italian composers such as Paolo Buonvino, Ezio Bosso, Pivio and Aldo DeScalzi, Teho Teardo, Andrea Farri, Giuliano Taviani, and Nicola Tescari, among others, who were often nominated and won the prestigious David DI Donatello Awards, Golden Globes and many more . As their agent based in Rome, Italy, Giovanni successfully negotiated over 150 contracts.
In 2003, Giovanni supervised the soundtrack for Academy Award winner Gabriele Salvatore's film "I'm Not Scared". The score, recorded in Madrid, Spain, was an incredible mix of "elegant melodic fragments" composed by M. Ezio Bosso. Giovanni went on to organize symphonic orchestra recordings in France, Spain, Bulgaria, Italy, Czech Republic and the US and license over 250 songs in the following 18 years.
In 2011, Giovanni relocated to America where, in addition to acting as agent for composers and music supervising, he began representing Sugar Music in the United States, handling their special projects in the US and promoting their vast catalog of music to production houses, music supervisors and advertising agencies in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Miami and Nashville. Giovanni also contributes to projects for Sugar Music's client, Andrea Bocelli, including the production of his album "Cinema" and the most recent album "Si" which went to number 1 in UK and US Billboard 200.
In 2019, Giovanni Arcadu is credited as Executive Producer of the anticipated movie "Into The Labyrinth" by Donato Carrisi, with Dustin Hoffman and Toni Servillo, after negotiating and finalizing the agreement for Dustin Hoffman as well as supervising the score.- IMDb Mini Biography By: MT
