Exclusive: After more than a decade, Silver Lining Entertainment, the management and production company founded by veterans Jeff Golenberg and Sam Maydew, is dissolving.
Golenberg and fellow Silver Lining partner Jason Shapiro have launched Strand Entertainment, a management and production company based in Los Angeles, bringing most of Silver Lining’s managers with them. Maydew has formed his own management/production company, 734 Media. The split we hear was amicable, with the former partners’ paths diverging, a process accelerated by the pandemic.
Joining Golenberg and Shapiro in their new venture are longtime colleagues Tarik Kanafani, Emily Rifanburg, Kaelyn Hutchins, and Aileen Lewis. Jeff’s brother, manager/producer Rob Golenberg, who was a partner at Silver Lining, has formed GoGi Entertainment, a new production company focused on international productions, with his former assistant Paulina Giron Velasquez. He also plans to continue to work alongside the Strand principals and their joint production entity,...

Showtime has pushed the premiere date for Season 2 of Your Honor to January 2023. The 10-episode second season starring Bryan Cranston will now bow on demand and on streaming Friday, January 13, 2023, and on-air on Sunday, January 15 at 9 pm. It was initially scheduled to premiere on streaming/on demand on December 9 and on linear December 11.
As for the reasoning behind the move, Showtime pushed the show because of its serialized nature that is best watched week after week and wanted it to air without the interruption of the Christmas holidays.
The first season of Your Honor ranks as the top debut season ever on Showtime, according to the network.
This is one of the first major scheduling decisions since David Nevins announced his departure as Chairman and CEO of Showtime Networks, and Chris McCarthy would be taking over at the helm of the premium cabler.

The project, which has been in development at NBC since 2019, will be produced by Universal Television in association with 6107 Productions, Inc., David Janollari Entertainment, Silver Lining Entertainment and Willy Waltz International.
According to the show’s logline, it “chronicles the epic love and lives of two complete strangers whose multiple run-ins begin to defy coincidence and lead both to believe in fate. This show breaks the mold by pairing a serialized, stand-up-and-cheer romantic comedy with the wildly diverse and often unexpected human stories of anyone who finds themselves six degrees from Adam and Eva.” The Dutch series ran from 2011 to 2016 and was critically acclaimed, winning several awards for best TV series, direction and script. Teun Luijkx and Eva van de Wijdeven starred as the titular characters.

In December, Showtime debuted Your Honor, a harrowing crime drama starring Bryan Cranston in a role that brought the actor his eighth Golden Globe nomination.
The 10-part series, executive produced by The Good Fight’s Robert and Michelle King and The Night Of’s Peter Moffat, centers on Michael Desiato (Cranston), a prominent New Orleans judge whose son Adam (Hunter Doohan) accidently kills another teenager in a hit-and-run collision.
When Desiato finds out what has happened, he immediately urges his son to turn himself into the police. He changes his mind, however, when he learns the victim of the hit-and-run was the son of local mob moss, Jimmy Baxter (Michael Stuhlbarg). The revelation leads him to dispose of evidence incriminating Adam. Naturally, the judge’s actions have tragic consequences.

“Your Honor,” Showtime’s latest legal crime thriller (with a twinge of horror) starring Bryan Cranston and executive produced by showrunner Peter Moffat, concluded this past Sunday with record-breaking highs for the ViacomCBS-owned television network. The 10-episode miniseries is on track to be the biggest debut season in Showtime Networks’ history, Variety confirmed in an exclusive interview with Kim Lemon, executive vice president of research, program planning & scheduling.
The show’s tragic Shakespearian conclusion, which aired on Feb. 14, has so far been seen by about 1.7 million viewers across platforms, a substantial increase of 29% compared to its penultimate episode (1.35 million viewers), which aired on Super Bowl Sunday. For Showtime, this marked the most-watched total night since the eighth-season wrap-up and series finale of “Homeland” last April.
“It was the best Sunday night of the season,” Lemon said. Per Lemon, the audience (broadly viewers ages 35+) for “Your Honor” has surged since its debut on Dec.

Exclusive: NBC has put in development Always Wright, a drama from For Life executive producer Sonay Hoffman and Sony Pictures TV, where Hoffman is under an overall deal.

Showtime on Thursday dropped the trailer for its upcoming legal thriller “Your Honor,” and Bryan Cranston plays a New Orleans judge taking a walk on the illegal side as he tries to cover up his son’s accidental killing of a member of the “most vicious crime family in the city.”
Watch as Michael Desiato’s (Cranston) son Adam (Hunter Doohan), bloodied and standing in the middle of the street, panics and hangs up on a 9-1-1 operator after hitting the boy with his car in the trailer above.
“Don’t tell anyone. Not ever,” Cranston tells Doohan in the clip. “I can do this. I can keep you safe if no one ever hears about it.”
Meanwhile, crime boss Jimmy Baxter (Michael Stuhlbarg) and his wife, Gina (Hope Davis), are hot on their heels.
What results is a “high-stakes game of lies, deceit and impossible choices,” according to Showtime.
