One part Real World, one part Making the Band, Netflix's new reality series documenting the exciting rise of all-female rock 'n roll band Nasty Cherry - aptly titled I'm With the Band: Nasty Cherry, which begins streaming on Nov. 15 - is an unflinching glimpse into the ambition, drama, personality clashes, and most importantly, magic, that goes hand in hand with trying to make it in the music industry.
The six-episode show is worth a watch, to be sure, but what's key is just how much Nasty Cherry's music is worth a listen. The four-piece outfit - which consists of lead singer Gabbriette Bechtel, guitarist Chloe Chaidez, bassist Georgia Somary, and drummer Debbie Knox-Hewson - clearly has talent, which is evident in the four songs the band has released so far. That's a part of what makes the Netflix series so compelling - you want them to succeed almost as much as they do.

Netflix chronicled the rise of our new favorite girl band in the docuseries I'm With the Band, and if anyone was left wondering if Nasty Cherry are still together after the show, then worry no more. The band are not only still together, they're working on their first album, which is set to drop on Nov. 22, and enjoying watching the world get to know them better via Netflix. Nasty Cherry boldly introduced themselves as "the best band of 2019" on Instagram back in January, and they mean to keep that promise.
Charli Xcx brought together drummer Debbie Knox-Hewson, bassist Georgia Somary, guitarist Chloe Chaidez, and lead singer Gabbriette Bechtel in hopes of creating a rock-and-roll Spice Girls. None of the women knew each other before moving into a house together for I'm With the Band, but they quickly hit it off. Their bond has only grown since Charli first recruited them for Nasty Cherry,...

Charli Xcx is a beloved popstar in her own right, and she's using her musical know-how to give the world what it desperately needs: another girlband. The "2099" singer teamed up with Netflix to introduce the world to Nasty Cherry, an all-female alt-pop band she formed to take over the music industry.
I'm With the Band: Nasty Cherry documents the band from its inception, when the four members - drummer Debbie Knox-Hewson, bassist Georgia Somary, guitarist Chloe Chaidez, and vocalist Gabbriette Bechtel - moved into a house in Los Angeles together to the release of their debut single "Win," cowritten by Charli. From drinking champagne in the jacuzzi - which led to their infamous Instagram debut declaring them the "best band of 2019") - to recording their first single and filming the music video, I'm With the Band takes us into the nitty gritty of what it takes to make your dreams come true.

Kitten has debuted the title track off their forthcoming Ep Goodbye Honeymoon Phase. This Ep follows up 2018’s Pink Champagne.
On the spunky “Goodbye Honeymoon Phase,” a public lovers’ spat is being narrowly avoided. “I’m slurrin’ all my words/You hit me where it hurts/Somehow it only gets worse/Goodbye honeymoon phase,” lead singer Chloe Chaidez delivers on the song’s chorus.
Kitten was formed in 2009 in Los Angeles by a then-teenage Chaidez. She has remained the sole consistent member of the power-pop unit. Kitten has released one full-length album,...

“I’ve always wanted to work with a girl band,” Charli Xcx says. “Not a classically pop girl band, but a girl band who have a rock & roll-type energy.”
Enter Nasty Cherry, a four-piece outfit with members from both London and Southern California that’s released a series of hooky, atmospheric singles this year. Not an actual member, Charli instead played the role of old-school impresario.
“It was definitely a surprise,” says Nasty Cherry guitarist and Los Angeles native Chloe Chaidez. She first met Charli Xcx when her other band...

Nasty Cherry have released their third new single “Live Forever.” The song arrives with a video directed by the band’s bassist Georgia Somary.
Guitarist Chloe Chaidez describes “Live Forever” as “a fiery smasher about being yourself and dancing through the sadness of life” while Somary adds that “it’s a spicy song about being unconfined and unrefined.” “Live Forever” features a buzzy, Eighties new wave riff with splashes of Nineties dream pop in the vocals and chorus. “I hope that when people hear this song they throw their hands...
