Halle Berry plays a mother with twin sons battling an evil spirit closing in on their wilderness home after a world-ending event in the trailer for Lionsgate’s Never Let Go, which dropped Thursday.
In the horror-thriller, director Alexandre Aja (The Hills Have Eyes, Crawl) has the remote house in the woods fitted with a long ropes to enable mother and sons to remain connected at all times as unseen dangers approach.
“The evil out there is clever. One touch without a rope is all it takes,” Berry’s character tells her sons at one point in the trailer, as they commit to keep tethered to the ropes for safety and connection. But as demonic forces engulf their off-the-grid house, one of the twins questions whether evil exists.
And that breaks the family bond and triggers an all-out battle for survival. “That rope is your lifeline. Never let go. Say it,...

Halle Berry can’t let go of psychological thrillers.
The Oscar winner turned up in Las Vegas on Wednesday during Lionsgate’s studio presentation to promote its new film, Alexandre Aja’s Never Let Go, which brings Berry back into a genre she explored more than 20 years ago, in earlier work like Gothika. But this one pushed her to new limits.
Set for release on Sept. 27, Never Let Go centers on a mother and her twin sons as they try to protect themselves from evil lurking in and around their home. Needing to stay connected at all times — always by a connection of ropes — they hold tight to one another and never let go. However, one of the boys questions if the evil is real, triggering a terrifying fight for survival. Anthony B. Jenkins, Percy Daggs, Matthew Kevin Anderson, Christin Park and Stephanie Lavigne also star.

Guerdy Abraira fought back tears as she shared her breast cancer diagnosis with her “The Real Housewives of Miami” castmates in the reality series’ Season 6 super teaser.
The video started with “Rhom” veteran Alexia Nepola saying a prayer for the ladies inside a church.
“Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee,” Nepola began. But soon, all hell broke loose (pun intended), with fans getting a glimpse of what’s in store for the sixth season. From Larsa Pippen bringing along her boyfriend Marcus Jordan into the season to Marysol Patton accusing to Adriana de Moura of supposedly having an affair with one of her exes, Season 6 is jam-packed with laughs and drama. However, what brings the women together is Geurdy Abraira’s reveal that she’s been diagnosed with breast cancer.

Fremantle has deepened its relationship with Artists, Writers & Artisans, Inc. (Awa) by making a minority investment in the company.
Fremantle had struck a strategic development deal with Awa Studios, the film and television division of Awa, last year.
Awa is backed by James Murdoch’s Lupa Systems, Sister, and Lightspeed Venture Partners. In 2021, the company established Awa Studios, helmed by Hollywood veteran Zach Studin as president. Marvel alum Axel Alonso serves as co-founder and chief creative officer overseeing editorial output. Matthew Anderson, co-chair and president and Jon Miller, co-founder and co-chair, lead Awa’s executive team.
The two companies have revealed that the first project on the joint development slate after Fremantle taking a stake in Awa is “Devil’s Highway,” a thriller based on the comic series by Benjamin Percy and Brent Schoonover in which a young woman seeks to unravel a sinister mystery hidden in the dark underbelly of the long-haul trucking industry.

Fremantle, the production unit of Bertelsmann-owned TV giant Rtl Group, has made a strategic minority investment in Artists, Writers & Artisans (Awa), an independent developer of stories from creative talent working across graphic fiction, film and television.
James Murdoch’s investment firm Lupa Systems, an existing Awa backer, co-led the new financial injection, which also included new capital from long-term Awa backers and “a number of strategic individual investors with expertise in production, finance, sports, human rights and technology,” the company said. Financial details and the size of the stake weren’t disclosed.

Awa Studios, the content startup that develops graphic novels with the hopes of seeding larger entertainment franchises, has assembled a brain trust of prominent writers and directors who will help the company nurture original ideas across a range of platforms.
Awa Studios has enlisted Reginald Hudlin, Gregg Hurwitz, Laeta Kalogridis, Joseph Kosinski, Al Madrigal and J. Michael Straczynski to serve on the company’s Creative Council. The council’s charter is for those established players to use their experience and their connections to help Awa writer and graphic artists “unleash the full potential of their characters and stories, providing a diversity of contemporary storytelling perspectives and putting projects in the best position to be scaled across the entertainment ecosystem,” per Awa.
The company, started in 2018 with backing from investors that include James Murdoch and Elisabeth Murdoch, is focused on producing graphic novels that can then be developed as TV, film or digital media franchises.

Doesn’t it feel kind of weird knowing that Flashpoint is already behind us and Barry Allen already has bigger fish to fry? Well, such is the case when you’re faced with one seemingly insurmountable challenge after another – but it does make The Flash one very entertaining television series, does it not?
Although Barry and Iris will have the daunting task of dealing with Clive Yorkin’s terrifying ability to rapidly decay whatever he touches, that doesn’t mean they can take the focus off averting her foretold death at the hands of Savitar. In the newly released clip from tonight’s episode, they discuss just that in front of the marker board that now serves as season 3B’s checklist of what to do and what not to do.

As a hero, the Flash is unstoppable. But what if he finds a villain that’s… untouchable? That’s the basis behind the appropriately-titled “Untouchable,” the upcoming episode of The CW’s show which finds the titular speedster pitted against Clive Yorkin, an abnormal man with the ability to spread death with even the smallest touch, as seen in these newest stills ahead of Tuesday’s episode.
The Flash‘s twelfth episode in the ongoing third season follows Barry (Grant Gustin) and his dependable S.T.A.R. Labs team working together to bring down Clive (guest star Matthew Kevin Anderson), the criminal meta-human who decomposes his victims at an accelerated rate. Meanwhile, Iris (Candice Patton) gets caught in the crossfire when the Clive tries to take down his next target, Joe (Jesse L. Martin), and Barry mentors Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale) at an all-new level.

Now that Cisco has pretty much gone full Vibe, the spotlight shifts back to Barry Allen in next week’s episode of The Flash. Titled “Untouchable,” which we swear isn’t the name of an upcoming hip-hop album recorded by the Scarlet Speedster, this chapter will see the S.T.A.R. Labs crew being forced to deal with a man capable of rapidly decomposing people with but a simple touch. Needless to say, this has to be one of their most nightmarish nemeses yet.
Viewers will also want to pay attention to the ongoing situation involving Iris West. It became apparent in last night’s episode, “Dead or Alive,” that she believes herself to be un-killable in the present just because she’s foretold to be murdered by Savitar four months from now.

The CW’s DC TV offerings return next week, but the network has today released the official descriptions for the episodes of Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl which will air the week beginning February 6th. There aren’t too many major reveals here, but each of them sounds pretty fun in their own way.
First up is Supergirl. In an episode titled “The Martian Chronicles,” it sounds like we should expect the Girl of Steel to find herself caught in a crossfire between Martian Manhunter and the White Martians, the villainous alien race who wiped his people (and family) out on Mars.
White Martians Attack The Deo — Armek (guest star Terrell Tilford), a White Martian, descends on National City intent on taking M’gann (guest star Sharon Leal) back to Mars to face her punishment as a traitor. Hank (David Harewood) and Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) determine the...

*Spoiler Alert.
Director: David Hewitt.
Writers: Brooks Peck, and Craig Engler.
Cast: David Chokachi, Matthew and Yancy Butler.
SyFy’s The Rage of the Yeti comes close to being abominable if the viewer is expecting more than a tale about monsters on the loose. They can lay waste to skiers and mountain climbers traversing the Himalayas. If this film was a science fiction product, they could easily cause problems for the Rebel Forces on the planet Hoth. At least, to have a bigger budget to create some truly devastating moments and terrible looking monstrosities will be an improvement.
Instead, these creatures are hardly frightening and most of the time, they are lost in the white background while stalking their prey. No one can blame these Yetis for protecting their habitat; but when has there been a film that made a statement about who eats whom, and where humanity stands in...

Rage of the Yeti is Syfy’s newest cryptozoological feature. Starring David Chokachi, Matthew Kevin Anderson and Yancy Butler, it takes place in the arctic of Canada.
A rich guys sends a team of treasure hunters to find a codex and when they run into trouble, he sends another group in after them. Among the second group are a husband and wife rescue team, a veterinarian, and two adventurer-types with a strong bromance.
For a B-movie like this, the acting was actually pretty good. BBC Robin Hood’s Jonas Armstrong was my favorite as Bill, the husband half of the rescue team. I also appreciated the equality of the female characters. This is an example of how you can have females that are part of the ensemble, but aren’t there just to be sex symbols. They are merely part of the team.
