Castle serves up one of its most engaging and well-structured mysteries for a long time in I, Witness...

“Castle,” Beckett tells her husband, referring to his latest theory of the case in I, Witness, “there’s no evidence to support this.”
Ah, the irony.
But like the story of I, Witness, we’ll get to that in a moment. And that’s my first small issue with this episode.
Because it begins with the “How We Got Here” trope. Castle is seen searching through the forest, in the dark, armed only with a flashlight. After a few moments, an unknown man hits him over the head, Castle crumples to the ground, and we get the “12 hours earlier” captioning that we know is coming.
Now, as I have said before, there’s nothing wrong with a writer using a trope (or cliché). The true test...

Recently, ABC dropped this new,2nd sneak peek/spoiler clip (below) for their upcoming "Castle" episode 13 of season 7, and it offers up new looks at Castle getting knocked the F out after stupidly trying to pursue a man who just committed murder way into the deep woods, and more! The episode is labeled, "I,Witness." The official plot summary for episode 13, reads like this: " Castle will get hired to uncover if a client's husband is having an affair, but the case will take a shocking turn when Castle witnesses the client's murder by her husband. But with no proof that the killing took place, Castle and Beckett will have to investigate to expose the truth. The episode was written by Terence Paul Winter & Amanda Johns and it was directed by Tom Wright." Episode 13 is set to air tomorrow night, February 2nd at 9pm central time on ABC.
