Exclusive: Alison Jackson, the provocative artist behind the BAFTA-winning BBC show Double Take, is making a feature-length documentary about U.S. president Donald Trump for Sky Arts.
Deadline can reveal that Jackson has spent time traveling America speaking to people who know Trump, including childhood acquaintances, former colleagues, and those who have accused him of sexual misconduct. She will then use these conversations as inspiration for a series of works on the U.S. leader.
Jackson is best known for her work on celebrity culture, producing voyeuristic photographs of lookalikes posing as their doppelganger in compromising or intensely private situations. The often hazy images are designed to deceive people into thinking they are authentic.
Jackson is famous for creating an image of Queen Elizabeth II sitting on the toilet, which formed part of the key artwork for 2003’s BBC series Double Take, and in 2016, she did a Trump shoot for Vanity Fair magazine.

Kelpie also produced the original show, and explained that he decided to bring it back after the success of its live shows around the UK.
"If the events are doing so well and connecting to an audience, surely we should think about bringing it back," he said.
Earlier this year, Richard Hammond told Digital Spy that he would love Brainiac to make a comeback.

ITV 2 have announced new series Blue Go Mad in Ibiza.
The show will see the boyband Blue attempt to turn a chilled out San Antonio bar into a lively holiday hotspot.
Duncan James, Simon Webbe, Lee Ryan and Antony Costa will be seen facing challenges such as flamboyant PRs, demanding customers and irritating members of staff, who - unknown to the group at the time - were all actors.
The band said: "We thoroughly enjoyed running the bar and definitely see a potential future in this for Blue, but we still can't believe we were fooled into believing our closest confidantes in the bar were genuine!
"We've got into some unusual predicaments during our time in the band, but what the team tricked us into on the show was unbelievable. We're still shocked we didn't guess!"
The four-part series is produced by Potato, with Phil Mount and Michael Kelpie serving as executive producers.

The network announced an eight-episode first-season order for the quiz competition in May during the upfronts. The one-hour show, in which three contestants battle against an all-knowing opponent named The Beast, is produced by ITV Studios America. Brooke Burns is host. “The high stakes of this ‘all or nothing,’ ‘David vs. Goliath’ battle of the brains result in riveting television,” said Amy Introcaso-Davis, Evp Programming and Development at Gsn. “While there is great gameplay in The Chase, it is also wildly entertaining to watch the always engaging Brooke Burns spar with trivia savant Mark Labbett aka The Beast”. Bob Boden, Martin Scott and Michael Kelpie are executive producers.
