There aren’t many revelations here but the gawky striker is eminently likable and there’s plenty to enjoy in his story of success against the odds
In an era when anyone with a chunky social media follower count can get their own documentary, it’s bit of a relief that someone as eminently likable as footballer Peter Crouch is subject to the streaming-platform treatment. In truth, this film is basically a bit of brand enhancement, following on from Crouch’s post-football podcast and Crouchfest live show, and as such doesn’t go anywhere particularly unexpected.
Crouch, of course, was the gawky striker who, in the footballing parlance, proved the doubters wrong by making it into the Premier League, winning the Fa Cup with Liverpool, scoring a hat-trick for England and – most potently for the legend – improvising that dopey robot-dance goal celebration and marrying model Abbey Clancy. Holly Willoughby fell prey to an unexpected on-air prank by This Morning co-presenter Phillip Schofield.
Schofield’s stunt caused Willoughby to walk off set in humourous admonishment, while viewers claim to have heard the host use explicit language in her immediate reaction.
The incident took place during Thursday’s (26 January) episode of the popular ITV morning show, when the presenters discussed M Night Shyamalan’s new horror film, Knock at the Cabin.
Introducing the next segment, which featured interviews with castmembers Rupert Grint and Ben Aldridge, Schofield suddenly yelled out mid-sentence, causing Willoughby to react in shock.
While Willoughby cannot be heard clearly swearing, she makes a sound that closely resembles the start of an “F-bomb”, and then immediately covers her mouth with her hand.
“I haven’t done that for a while,” Schofield said, as his co-star looked around in shock. “It’s perfect.”

Abbey Clancy has said that Strictly Come Dancing romances can happen because of the intense, fairytale nature of the show - but only if someone has relationship troubles.
The model told Women's Health that she never considered a fling with pro Aljaž Skorjanec, who she won the 11th series of the show with in 2013.
"It's intense. I think it's quite a fairytale. Especially for the woman I don't know… for the man too!" she said of the show.
"Because the men are used to their normal life, then they've got these sexy dancers flopping round them.
"But I don't think that happens unless you're unhappy in your relationship. Because it didn't cross my mind."
On how her body changed after having two children, Abbey said: "It's strange that my body makes news.
"I don't like those stories when it's put in a negative light. Like I'm starving myself."
She continued:...

We've got a bone to pick with The Great Comic Relief Bake Off. The show is meant to inspire us all to bake for charity - unfortunately, it just makes us realise how terrible things can get in the kitchen. Luckily, though, it's not us suffering, it's celebrities - which makes the whole thing very entertaining indeed.
Here are our 14 funniest moments from tonight's episode, which saw Zoella, Jonathan Ross, Abbey Clancy and Gok Wan take to the tent...
1. Mary's excitement about Gok's cupcakes.
Gok planned to make banana-flavoured "geisha" cupcakes with a brazil nut inside each one. "You've got the surprise of the nut," Mary grinned appreciatively. Oo-er.
2. Gok's competitive streak.
We knew from the beginning that Gok was competitive - because he told us he wanted to win - but it was clear for all to see when he began rating his fellow bakers' cupcake chances. "Jonathan, nah.

Abbey Clancy thinks pregnancy is a ''weird thing''. The 29-year-old model - who is currently pregnant with her and footballer Peter Crouch's second child - thinks it's crazy to see her body change over such a short amount of time. She said: ''I think pregnancy's such a weird thing. One part of your brain is going, 'Oh my God, I'm so blessed, it's a miracle', and the other half is going, 'I can't bear this. I'm so fat. I'm ugly. I've got headaches. I've got spots. I feel sick!' ''Pete's not too happy with me moaning every two seconds, but it is weird...

Strictly Come Dancing's Alison Hammond has revealed that Lisa Riley inspired her to take part in the show.
The This Morning presenter said that the former Emmerdale star's success on the BBC show gave her the confidence to dance in front of the nation.
Asked if she had watched videos of dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec and 2013 winner Abbey Clancy performing together, Hammond replied: "Not once. If I watch anybody, I watch Lisa Riley and no-one else.
"I always watch what her tango was or her cha cha, because she's similar build to me and I like to see how she did it.
"I would probably never have done Strictly unless I'd seen Lisa Riley do it," she added. "She totally inspired me to do it. I think she's brilliant."
Wary of looking "silly", Hammond also said that she and partner Skorjanec take their training very seriously.

After all the excitement about the Strictly Come Dancing launch last weekend, we've now got to wait a couple of weeks to discover who can dance and who can... waddle around a floor, badly (We're looking at you, Gregg Wallace).
In the meantime, we've had the ultimate Strictly pub debate - yes, we talk about Strictly in the pub - who is the greatest champion of all time. Here is the Definitive* ranking of the 11 Glitterball Champions from Worst to the Best.
*Actually just our opinion.
11. Chris Hollins
You can't win Strictly Come Dancing and be a bad dancer. However, Chris Hollins would have struggled to reach the final in any other series and it was only really his partnership with Ola 'Chops' Jordan and the dull competition that allowed him to stroll (or should that be Charleston?) to victory.
10. Tom Chambers
Were Tom Chambers and Camilla Dallerup the best dancers in 2008? Probably not.

Alan Carr and Piers Morgan have put water firmly under the bridge after years of snarky comments about each other online.

Carr fought back: "I said you were the most annoying man on telly - it got misquoted."
The comic then read out Morgan's previous description of him, saying: "He has not merely an irritating voice, he has quite possibly the most excruciatingly high pitched, whiny, helium-filled, nasal, repugnant voice in the history of mankind, with the possible exception of the Krankies."
Morgan replied: "I'm very sorry for any offence that caused. I was right, but...

Opening up on the ITV chat show about his recovery over the last year, Marr joked that he had "lost quite a big chunk of the old cauliflower" and said that he actually considered himself lucky.
"[After the stroke] everything on the left hand side didn't work - arm, leg, lung, tongue. Actually that was lucky. Had the stroke been on the other side I'd have lost my memory, speech and so forth," said Marr.
Explaining how an Fes device on his ankle enables him to carry on with his life, he added: "What it does is every time my heel lifts off from the floor it jolts electricity down the front of my leg, so my toe goes popping up. That means I don't fall over. It's like...

Michelle Mone has revealed that she has repeatedly turned down the chance to appear on Dragons' Den.
Speaking at the launch of her new Ultimo lingerie collection - for which Strictly Come Dancing winner Abbey Clancy is the face - Mone told Digital Spy that she doesn't have enough time for the reality show.
"I've been asked to do Dragons' Den five times now," she said. "But at the moment I'm really busy with Ultimo. We'll see - never say never.
"I might be a Dragon. Probably everyone else does call me a Dragon! We'll see. Maybe one day I might do it, but certainly not for now."
However, Mone laughed off suggestions that she could follow Clancy on to Strictly, saying: "I could never do that! I would never be able to do as well as Abbey, but I love the show. It's a fantastic show."

Not only was Olivia honored with the ‘Breakthrough Actress’ award on Jan. 9, she also was noticed for the gorgeous canary-yellow dress she rocked at Variety’s Breakthrough of Year Awards.
We can’t take our eyes off of Olivia Munn. The Newsroom star showed off her amazing figure at Variety’s awards at the Las Vegas Hotel & Casino in a stunning Victoria Beckham dress that showed off her gorgeous skin tone!
Olivia Munn’s Breakthrough Awards Dress
While designer Victoria Beckham, as well as Abbey Clancy and Jennifer Lopez all rocked the dress from the 2012 Spring Collection, they chose tangerine. We are so happy that Olivia went with the canary yellow instead.
The bright hue looks absolutely stunning on her! She kept her dark hair down and pushed back and went with plain silver studs, allowing the dress and it’s amazing silver neckline be the vocal point.
