Milton R.F. Brown(I)

Milton Brown is a former television writer with credits covering
three-decades, and is known by some as the first African American to
achieve a network (NBC) sitcom credit with The Bill Cosby Show, in
1969. Thereafter Brown wrote for
That's My Mama (1974) (ABC),
Room 222 (1969) (ABC) and
Amen (1986) (NBC) and the Muhammad Ali
Sports Club coordinator for NBC Sports World, prior to America pulling
out of the 80s Olympics. While primarily writing for television, he also had a number of feature film screenplays in development with
such noted producers as the late Ralph B. Serpe
(a former Dino De Laurentiis
producer), and Robert Klein (Todd-AO Productions) where his screenplay,
Bleedin' Kansas, achieved advanced development status with Oscar
winning Director John G. Avildsen
(Rocky (1976),
The Karate Kid (1984)),
attached. Currently (2008), Brown is the Executive Producer of
Inglewood Community Television, with two projects in cable & satellite
syndication, The Urban RoundTable an entertainment talk show starring
host, Robert Hooks, and an analytical news
show, The Hutchinson Report, starring noted columnist and author Earl
Ofari Hutchinson.
