The ultimate emo festival, When We Were Young, will return for its third year in 2024 with a slight change to its format: each set will feature the top-to-bottom performance of a defining album from each act. My Chemical Romance — who helmed the event’s first year in 2022 — will headline once again, this time performing Welcome to the Black Parade in full. Fall Out Boy will also headline, but no specific album has been attached to their set yet.

Usher isn't afraid to cough up dough for charity. The singer bid $80,000 on a Richard Avedon photograph at the Gabrielle's Angel Foundation Angel Ball in New York City on Tuesday night. But unfortunately for him, that wasn't enough! Celebrity jeweler Lorraine Schwartz, who designed Kim Kardashian's engagement sparkler, outbid the hit maker and forked over $85,000 for the piece. And it was all for a good cause. Money from the auction will help fund cancer research, and celebs all came out to support the foundation. Pharrell Williams warmed up the crowd with a few songs including Robin Thicke's hit "Blurred Lines.

It's back to business for newlyweds Gabe Saporta and Erin Fetherston. Eight days after the Cobra Starship frontman and the fashion designer tied the knot in Barbados (as exclusively reported by Us Weekly), the spouses made their first post-wedding appearance at the Cfda Fashion Awards in New York City on June 3, 2013. "Hoping it doesn't rain on the red carpet tonight at the Cfda Awards," Fetherston tweeted. "I don't have an umbrella to match my dress." They do! Cobra Starship frontman Gabe Saporta married his ladylove, designer Erin Fetherston, this past weekend at a romantic ceremony in Barbados, E! News has confirmed. Of course, the bride wore a dress of her own design, and, per People, the couple exchanged vows at the St. Nicholas Abbey plantation in the gorgeous island nation. Their nuptials will be featured in an upcoming issue of Martha Stewart Weddings. In a fitting spin, the duo got engaged on New Year's Eve in Barbados, where the 33-year-old rocker popped the question to his then-girlfriend in grand style: by writing out his proposal on their patio using corals and flowers gathered from the beach. "I woke Erin up in a...

Eager to start their lives together, Gabe Saporta and Erin Fetherston got hitched after an under 6 months engagement on Sunday (May 26).
The Cobra Starship frontman and his fashion designer bride headed to Barbados at the historical St. Nicholas Abbey plantation.
A rep for the couple reveals, "Fetherston wore a gown of her own design, and Saporta wore a custom Gieves & Hawkes suit. Images of the wedding will be featured in Martha Stewart Weddings' September issue."
Earlier, the "You Make Me Feel..." singer gushed about his fiancée, "What I really love about Erin is that being with her inspires me to be better. Erin and I are able to propel one another forward without ever being critical or judgmental. I feel like she sees my shortcomings, she sees my potential, and she's got my back no matter what. She's my teammate and my best friend. There is no one I'd rather spend my time with.

Gabe Saporta talks about the girl of his dreams in the Cobra Starship hit "You Make Me Feel," and now he officially has only one woman to sing it to - his new bride, designer Erin Fetherston. Eve, "Lip Lock" (From The Rib/Red)
With her first studio album in 11 years, Eve returns with an unimpressive, unfulfilling new offering, "Lip Lock."
The rapper's rhymes lack passion, her wordplay is too simple, her hooks come across as mundane and she fails to find a musical identity on the 12-track album – particularly on single "She Bad Bad" and "Eve," featuring Miss Kitty.
The album includes top producers like The Neptunes, Swizz Beatz and Rico Love, but even they were unable to save this poor album.
The bright spots are the guest appearances that include Snoop Dogg ("Mama in the Kitchen"), Missy Elliott ("Wanna Be"), Dawn Richard ("Keep Me From You"), Chrisette Michele ("Never Gone") and Gabe Saporta ("Make It Out This Town"). But each talented guest overshadows Eve in every way.
On "Grind or Die," Eve reminds critics she's been banking millions of dollars internationally from Belgium to Japan...

Buzzfeed has a preview of the Glee/Archie crossover comic, where half of each group gets zapped into the parallel universe that each gang lives in. Cobra Starship frontman Gabe Saporta will guest star the Gossip Girl season finale May 14.
The 32-year-old will make his acting debut in the episode, "The Return of The Ring" (for much more on the big episode, follow the link for our Gossip Girl season finale spoilers article and discussion).
"Acting is something that has been of interest to him for a while," a source says of Saporta, 32, whose casting was first reported by E! Online. "So when he was offered the role, he jumped at it."
"I can tell you that he's playing a character that is not a musician," the informer said.
This isn't Saporta's first Gossip Girl collaboration. Cobra Starship's hit song "Good Girls Go Bad" features vocals by Leighton Meester, who also appears in the video. The song has been featured on Gossip Girl as well.

A fabulously well dressed family heads out into the New Mexican wilderness for a weekend of “glamping” (glam camping), all while being serenaded by an amped-up dance band from Manhattan. Nope, it’s not the premise of a new VH1 reality program, but the runway show for Tommy Hilfiger’s spring 2012 line at Lincoln Center last week. The production was hosted for American Express Cardmembers, and brought to life the fictitious “all-American Hilfiger” family, strutting to the tunes of Cobra Starship.
It certainly isn’t a stretch to picture Cs in the fashion world. “You’ve gotta be creative but have a social, business mindset,” lead singer Gabe Saporta notes, before adding that both he and guitarist Ryland Blackinton date women who work in the fashion industry. But that doesn’t mean they’ve always been blessed with dead-on style sense. Some of their early looks were dead on arrival!

Fashion Week went full speed ahead this week and now that it's over, I'm finally catching my breath.
As always, there was no shortage of celebrity guests at the shows, parties, or other events but this season still seemed a little dry compared to past seasons. Perhaps it was the Grammys in Los Angeles that interfered, or the Berlin Film Festival happening in Germany now. Still, I had plenty of awesome encounters.
I knew up and coming menswear designer Simon Spurr would be a good place for hot, young male stars, so on Sunday night, I braved the harsh weather outside Milk Studios. Musicians Joe Jonas and Gabe Saporta were among some of the guests, as well as my buddy Kellan Lutz. Victoria Asher of Cobra Starship knew exactly how she wanted to celebrate her birthday, January 20th, and that included partying in Vegas. Although before taking off to Sin City, she along with Gabe Saporta and Ryland Blackinton stopped by Fox All Access to talk about their new single featuring Mac Miller, ”Middle Finger.” What we love about the band is that they don’t take themselves too seriously which makes for a hell of a good time in the studio. You’ll learn how lead singer Gabe was inspired by a cobra from the future and how Sigourney Weaver aroused him. Ryland tells us about his first memory of music and what he first called Bruce Springsteen as a kid. Victoria gives us the scoop on how she literally flipped out at a Michael Jackson concert and how she deals with living on a tour bus with four guys. What’s with boys and farts?...

To the average viewer, Cobra Starship's "Middle Finger" video isn't exactly brimming with subtleties and symbolism; instead, it appears to be little more than a long series of single-digit salutes.
It bears mention that, apparently, Cobra frontman Gabe Saporta is not the average viewer. Because, to him, the "Finger" video is much more than a bunch of folks flipping the bird; it represents the launch of the next phase of the Starship world domination plan. Or something like that.

Two weeks ago, we posted about Cobra Starship/Mac Miller’s “Middle Finger” getting an official release. The song, which appears on Cobra Starship’s “Night Shades” album, had taken on a little life of its own. Now, we have the official video. [More after the jump...] If the point is to show that folks of any age, from tweens to seniors, can ably stick their middle fingers in the air, then mission accomplished. Otherwise, it’s a pretty pointless exercise in a narrative about the band’s Gabe Saporta coming up short at a cash register, but still having enough scratch to have a seemingly...

In Cobra Starship's "Middle Finger" video, released Thursday (January 19), there are plenty of allegories to economic injustices, socio-political discourses on a return to the Gold Standard and, perhaps most pointedly, thinly veiled criticisms of the United States' imperialistic foreign policies and their long-term effects on global de-stabilization.
Ok, not really. It's basically just a lot of middle fingers, of all shapes and sizes, ages and genders, thrust defiantly skyward. At one point there's a callback to their "You Make Me Feel ..." video, a "Zoolander"-esque Jeep trek, a cute puppy, some basketball and exactly one old woman getting drenched. " 'Toxic'!" Gabe Saporta and Victoria Asher of Cobra Starship shouted in unison.
"I don't know if it's that the song was so amazing or what," Gabe said. " 'Womanizer' is amazing!" he added about director Joseph Khan's follow-up video, which features a similar series of Britney alter egos as a theme.
"I'm going to go with the 'Slave' joint," Nick Cannon said with certainty. "That track was crazy. It was probably my favorite Britney record but then the video ... It was all hot and they were sweating. Britney did that!"

When we think of Cobra Starship, we think neon colors and/or sharp suits to match their party-perfect electro-pop sound. And we certainly hope they bring that kind of sartorial energy when they perform at this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. But last Friday, when they stopped by Big Morning Buzz Live to talk about Nightshade and eggplant on eggplant violence, they were understandably a little more casual and neutral-colored than usual. And yet still demonstrated that trademark Cobra sense of fun. Let’s take a closer look.
Gabe Saporta is wearing a Topman jean jacket, an alpaca sweater from a Peruvian Indian market, United Colors of Benetton vintage watch, Diesel Gloovy jeans and All Saints shoes. Ryland Blackinton is in a vintage Starter jacket (for the L.A. Raiders), Topman jeans, Topman shoes and a Uniqlo V-neck.

Justin Bieber will take a paternity test in two weeks to prove that he did not father a child with a fan who claims the pair had a backstage tryst. Now comes word that talk-show host Maury Povich wants to have the teen star appear on his show to share the results.
"We are actively pursuing this story," a Povich spokesperson told the Huffington Post. An additional source from the show tells the site that having Bieber participate with Povich and his talk show would be a big win for the daytime staple.
"This would be a huge TV event," Amy Rosenblum, former executive producer of "Maury," explained. "When I brought the DNA test to TV for the first time on 'Maury,' I had no idea it...

Cobra Starship threw a dance party with Sabi in their "You Make Me Feel ... " video, but the group has some much different plans for their "Middle Finger" clip.
Despite the song's title, however, Cobra frontman Gabe Saporta promised not one middle finger will be raised in the clip.
"A lot of cheekiness and no middle fingers," he promised. "Even though the song is called 'Middle Finger,' no middle fingers. Justin Bieber recently told the "Today" show that it's impossible he fathered Mariah Yeater's baby, as claimed in a headline-making paternity suit. Why? The minute he finishes a show, he promptly makes his way from the stage to an awaiting car, so there's no time for backstage trysts.
Cobra Starship frontman Gabe Saporta, Bieber's onetime tourmate, confirmed the teen star's story.
"It wouldn't even be possible for her to get backstage," he told MTV News on the red carpet at the Glamour Women of the Year event in New York on Monday. "The security is so crazy there, you can't get backstage. And even if you got backstage, first of all, he leaves the show as soon as he's offstage, which is pretty cool.

Country trio Lady Antebellum are picking up right where they left off. The group's new album, Own the Night, will grab the #1 spot on the Billboard albums chart next week thanks to sales of 347,000, according to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan. Their latest picks up where Lady A's last album, 2010's multiplatinum, Grammy-winning breakthrough Need You Now, left off.
That debut pushed last week's #1, Lil Wayne's Tha Carter IV, down to #3 in its third week on the charts, with sales falling 47 percent to 117,000 for a three-week total just north of 1.3 million. Holding tight once again at #2 was Adele's unstoppable 21, which pushed past the 3.5 million mark thanks to sales of another 119,000.

Hey y'all! Happy Unbroken Day! Today, Demi Lovato drops her new album and it seems that critics and celebrities all pretty much love what the "Skyscraper" singing is doing on it.
So, what are the critics saying? While the New York Times seemed a bit restrained about their love for the album, they did note, "These songs do give Ms. Lovato the opportunity to present herself as an adult, not just a moppet who knows too much."
Meanwhile, the album scored an impressive B+ with the folks over at Entertainment Weekly, who added, "Clearly it's been a tough year for Lovato. But as Rihanna could tell her, sometimes bad years make great songs."
Rolling Stone focused less on the darker elements of the album, pointing out that "Unbroken is mostly sunshine and slumber-party hooks… She's grown into her voice. Now, if only her music would grow up too."

Who do you think takes the "America's Got Talent" prize? If our poll is any indication, it's going to be Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. We shall see.
There is some filler - Landau performs with Patti Labelle, which is awesome. Super awesome. Man, that lady can still blow the roof off, huh?
Team iLuminate performs with Cobra Starship and that's not quite as cool as Patti Labelle. Sorry Cobra Starship. Call us when Grace Slick joins you and you change your name to Cobra Airplane.
Silhouettes performs in the background while LeAnn Rimes sings. That's pretty great, I really like her voice, even if she's gotten a little crazypants lately.
Randomly, Queen Latifah and Tony Bennett are on hand to sing together. Huh. I mean, it's nice. but ... huh. Also, I always forget how good of a singer Queen Latifah is.
