I have another piece of steampunk Iron Man art for you to check out today. They just seem to keep rolling in. This illustration comes from concept artist Anthony Jones, and this one sticks out above the rest because it comes along with the following tragic backstory.
After donating his heart to save his only son Jarvis, Jarvis devoted his life to engineering to bring his father back to life. Picking up his father's work, he found an alternative power source that could bring him back. Preserving his body in a deep freeze incubator, Jarvis spent 10 years of his young adult life to engineer a mechanized suit using the power of steam to breathe life to his father.Introducing Gentlemen Stark.

We marveled over Quicksilver, and his scene-stealing powers that Bryan Singer put on display in X-Men: Days of Future Past. But did you know that the lightning-fast mutant wasn.t always part of the plan? In fact, Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and Professor X (James McAvoy) originally were going to enlist a young Juggernaut to help them break the Master of Magnetism out of his Pentagon cell. and now we know (above) what he might have looked like. These images come to us from Anthony Jones, a concept artist at Blizzard Entertainment who began sharing on his Facebook page sketches he worked up for...

Tom Stoppard says his original approach to writing the screenplay for Joe Wright's new film adaptation of Anna Karenina was for a fast, modern movie about being in lust. Then wiser counsels – including his own – prevailed
The latest film adaptation of Tolstoy's Anna Karenina began in what Tom Stoppard calls "a normal kind of way", though it did not exactly have a normal outcome. Sitting in his penthouse flat in west London with his back to a stunning view of the Thames, he lights the first of the six cigarettes that will measure out this conversation.
"Somebody rang my agent, Anthony Jones," he says, before adding: "It was to ask if I was up for adapting Anna Karenina for Joe Wright. It was Joe's choice of movie."
This is an ideal moment to talk to one of Britain's leading contemporary playwrights. Stoppard is in that limbo that writers experience...

Whoever said video games kill your imagination was so short sighted.
Anthony Jones, an Irvine, Calif.-based video game concept artist behind the art blog Robot Pencil, has a fantastic imagination and a sharp style to match.
Jones, who has a flair for what he calls "mashups and redesigns," recently re-cast some of the main characters from the popular Nintendo franchise "Super Mario Brothers" as a motley, hard-boiled crew.

The angular, shadowy representations offer an incredible contrast to the game's classic look, which is steeped in round, friendly curves. Take a good, long look at Mario and Princess Peach -- it's tough do decide if they're good guys, bad guys, or somewhere in between.
That sense of moral ambiguity is probably what led Reddit user DanM_Ro to describe the digitally-produced renderings as "noir style" when he posted them yesterday.
