Kirsten Storms has been a part of General Hospital for nearly two decades.
Viewers have come to love the legacy character of Maxie. The daughter of supercouple Felicia (Kristina Wagner) and Frisco Jones (Jack Wagner) has been through so much.
From getting Bj’s (Brighton Hertford) heart to her non-wedding to Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), there are many memorable moments from her storylines over the years.
However, Kirsten has received some harsh criticism over the years. If she gained weight, the critics came for her.
Most recently, though, there’s been plenty of chatter about Maxie and her wardrobe. She was supposed to be the fashion icon of Port Charles, but viewers didn’t love what she was wearing.
After heavy criticism, Kirsten finally opened up about what happened with Maxie’s wardrobe and how she feels more like herself, which is shown on General Hospital.

Salem is mostly short on happiness, but could a brief respite be in the cards for the Donovan-Blacks?
Spoilers for Days of Our Lives during the week of 1-15-24 say that Tate's family receives good news, which can only mean one thing: Tate's coming home.
It probably won't be smooth sailing. Although Days of Our Lives doesn't have the best track record with mental health issues, an innocent kid being thrown into jail with adult men and having to be held in solitary confinement for his protection is an obvious Ptsd storyline.
That type of story also has the potential to advocate for the end of real-life teens being held in adult jails, especially when there's no real reason to hold them anywhere. If so, let's hope the writers can let the story speak for itself instead of inserting heavy-handed PSAs into the dialogue.
Storywise, this'll give Jamie Martin Mann...

There is another face change in Port Charles as actress Nicole Paggi has temporarily replaced Kirsten Storms as Maxie Jones on General Hospital, beginning with the December 27 episode. As first reported by Soap Opera Digest, Paggi will take over the role of Maxie, the eldest daughter of Frisco Jones (Jack Wagner) and Felicia Cummings (Kristina Wagner), who has been a part of the long-running daytime drama since 1993. Storms, who was nominated for a Daytime Emmy in 2009, has portrayed the character since 2005. This isn’t the first time the character of Maxie has changed faces. Robyn Richards first portrayed the role from 1993 to 2004 before Storms took over in 2005. In 2011, Storms took extended medical leave, with Jen Lilley temporarily taking on the role. Storms also had temporary absences in 2016, 2017, and 2018, with Molly Burnett frequently stepping in in her place. Paggi is perhaps best known for playing Jennie Bradbury on Mike White‘s critically acclaimed Fox series Pasadena.

Nicole Paggi has agreed to temporarily become Maxie Jones on General Hospital. She takes over the role from Kirsten Storms, who will be out for a few days.
Soap Opera Digest first broke the news of the casting switch.
Paggi — who played Kelly Ripa’s niece/Faith Ford’s daughter Sydney in the ABC comedy Hope & Faith — debuted today on the ABC daytime soap.
Days of Our Lives vet Storms joined General Hospital in 2005 after playing Isabella “Belle” Black on the NBC drama from 1999 to 2004.
This is the second such switch of this character. Storms’ Maxie was temporarily recast in 2011, with Jen Lilley taking over the part until Storms returned in 2012. Great American Family’s biggest time of the year is here. The network, run by former Hallmark CEO Bill Abbott, is leaning in to the holiday season big time, after seeing a year of massive growth.
According to the year-over-year data, Gaf is up 150% in total viewers in 2023 compared to 2022, and the success can be credited to multiple factors, Abbott tells Variety.
“One of the biggest parts of our growth has been our talent, and the fact that we have such recognizable stars in our stable of talent — and that they are relentless in promoting Great American Family,” he says. “That, in and of itself, has created the awareness necessary to grow like we have.”
Candace Cameron Bure, Trevor Donovan, Jen Lilley, Danica McKellar and Jessica Lowndes all have exclusive deals with Gaf, while their Christmas movie lineup also includes Matthew Morrison, Chad Michael Murray, Lori Loughlin, Jill Wagner and James Tupper.

Gwen left Salem, but Emily O'Brien has taken over the role of Theresa Donovan. What do you think of the somewhat abrupt switch?

Time flies, and doubly so in Salem.
No one does the rapidly aging into troubled teen soap opera trope better than Days, and on Days of Our Lives during the week of 10-09-23 we're getting Two new teens.
Yep, Tate's back from California, and his first order of business is to fall for a similarly-SORASed Holly Jonas.
What do these kids learn in boarding school? They always come back with a bad attitude and an eagerness to cause trouble.
Tate's no different, having been expelled for pulling a prank. (Neighbours' Yashvi Rebecchi could have told him a thing or two about that.)
According to the spoiler video, Tate immediately starts crushing on Holly Jonas, and her mother doesn't approve one bit!
Some viewers object to this potential pairing because Nicole and Brady were an item once upon a time and even ran away to Canada with baby Holly in defiance of the law.

The Gwen/Dimitri/Leo story's been aggravating.
This was not a love triangle that left me torn in any way, shape, or form. The only exciting moment in the story was when Gwen revealed she knew that Dimitri and Leo were messing around.
You know what would have been a great twist? If Gwen turned out not to care. Instead, we got some silly revenge attempts before Gwen exited stage left as part of one of the most bizarre casting decisions in recent history.
The story is finally over, but the end seems rushed.
On Friday's episode, Gwen tried to attack Dimitri's magic member with a scalpel, told Dimitri she'd never forgive him, accused Kristen of shooting her soon-to-be-ex, and agreed to go to Alamainia to get her hands on the Von Leuschner fortune.

It’s official: There’s a new Theresa Donovan on Days of our Lives. As the October 6 episode (and TV Insider) confirmed, Emily O’Brien is taking over the role from Jen Lilley and has left behind the character of Gwen (for now?). In fact, the episode has Gwen leaving town and getting on one flight… then Theresa arriving at the same airport — and walking in from the same direction O’Brien’s other character was last seen walking! In the last scene of the episode, with her flight already boarding, Gwen bids adieu to Salem. “It hasn’t always been fun, has it? It’s certainly been interesting,” she acknowledges. “Though there are things about you that I have loved, there’s also a lot of things I’ve hated. I suppose you could say the same thing about me, though. But I promise you, it might be goodbye for now,...

By now, you've probably heard the news that Days of Our Lives has recast the role of Theresa Donovan.
The stunning announcement broke earlier this week when it was revealed that current Days of Our Lives star Emily O'Brien would take over for Jen Lilley.
In a new interview with People, Lilley revealed that she reached out to return to the show in late 2022.
She intended to bring Theresa back to Salem as part of the farewell storyline for John Aniston's Victor Kiriaki.
"I was close to John Aniston personally as an actress, and also our characters were oddly close in a way that none of the other characters knew," Lilley explained.
"So I was like, okay, that would be a really fun way to come back, kind of shake things up in Salem in a way that would fluster other characters and would be fun for the show.

A shocking casting change on Peacock‘s Days of Our Lives has left Jen Lilley and fans completely blindsided. Lilley, who has played Theresa Donovan on and off since 2013, recently returned to the soap opera. However, her time on the show is seemingly over as the character is set to be re-cast with Lilley’s co-star, Emily O’Brien. Lilley last appeared on the episode that aired on September 22. What makes this so surprising is that O’Brien already plays the character of Gwen von Leuschner on the long-running drama series and will now be doubling as Theresa in future episodes. The stunning news was revealed during the credits for Peacock’s Monday, October 2, episode of the show, which noted that O’Brien would be playing Theresa. Lilley previously claimed she found out about the recasting while on set, telling Soaps.com in August, “Top to bottom, it was just not handled the right way.

Peacock’s Days of Our Lives has done some recasting and it couldn’t be more like a soap opera.
Jen Lilley has been playing the role of Theresa Donovan on and off since 2013 and recently reappeared for a story arc. However, her return as Theresa will be short-lived as the character was re-cast with a fellow co-star.
The end credits of the October 2 episode spoiled that Emily O’Brien would be playing Theresa and take over for Lilley, who last appeared on the episode that aired September 22.
O’Brien is currently playing the role of Gwen von Leuschner on the drama series and will be doubling as Theresa in the episodes ahead.
Lilley talked to Soaps.com about the recasting and producers told her how O’Brien would be playing both roles simultaneously.
“Oh yeah, we’re just gonna put her in a wig,” Lilley said someone in production told her.

Jack Dayton's lack of interference with the hospital was too good to be true. He's always had a conflict of interest because he owns AI tech that can be used in medicine.
Or 2.0 is one thing, but now that Asher and Sharon have declared war on Dayton's AI program for flagging opioid abusers, it's on!
On Chicago Med Season 8 Episode 11, Asher's attempt to protect a patient falsely flagged as a drug abuser may have set off a larger-scale conflict than she realized. This is going to be great!
Asher's problem was simple, at least on the surface: the AI program flagged a patient as an opiate abuser when she had a rare type of lung cancer that mimicked the signs of opiate abuse. It was logical to conclude that the program was interfering with patient care and needed to go.
Neither Asher nor Sharon cares that they're about to piss Dayton off.

It's always fun when actors associated with one show you love pop up on another.
Almost a year after Days of Our Lives' Shawn Christian guest starred on Chicago Med, another alum from the long-running soap will appear on Chicago Med Season 8 Episode 11: Jen Lilley.
Although Lilley is not playing her Days character on Med, the patient she plays might have something in common with Theresa Donovan: a substance abuse problem.
According to spoilers, Asher and Archer will use AI to help treat opiate abuse. Since photos have them working with Lilley's character, this patient is likely abusing painkillers.
This should be a compelling storyline for several reasons.

The world of holiday programming continues to grow. While Hallmark Channel and Lifetime have seen major success with their “Countdown to Christmas” and “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime” slates, respectively, Great American Family joined the discussion in 2021.
In June 2021, the network, originally tilted Great American Country (Gac), was acquired by Gac Media, a group formed by former Hallmark CEO Bill Abbott and Hicks Equity Partners. In the fall of that year, the network was relaunched as Gac Family.
Under Gac Media, Great American Country changed to “Gac Family” and later to “Great American Family” — the title they have gone by since August 2022. The channel became similar in content to what Abbott had created at Hallmark, including original made-for-tv movies, holiday programming and big franchises. However, it also focuses more heavily on faith-driven programming.
