Reports of a “screaming match” between Olivia Wilde and Florence Pugh on the set of “Don’t Worry Darling” are “absurd gossip,” according to a Sunday statement signed by 40 crew members.
“As a crew, we’ve avoided addressing the absurd gossip surrounding the movie we’re so proud of, but feel the need to correct the anonymous ‘sources’ quoted in a recent article,” reads the statement obtained by TheWrap. “There was never a screaming match between our director and anyone, let alone a member of our cast.”
The statement follows a Friday report from Vulture in which an anonymous source recalled a “screaming match” between Wilde and Pugh. The report said then-studio head Toby Emmerich had to intervene and moderate a “long negotiation process” to ensure that Pugh would participate in the movie’s press promotion and “not jeopardize the potential box office.”

Forty members of the crew and production team on Olivia Wilde’s new movie Don’t Worry Darling have spoken out to dispute “the absurd gossip” surrounding alleged on-set unrest during the production of the New Line Cinema pic starring Harry Styles, Florence Pugh and Chris Pine.
The statement, received by Deadline, comes in direct response to a recent report in Vulture about an on-set “screaming match” between Wilde, who directed as well as co-starred, and Pugh, the female lead, during the pic’s 2021 production.

A group of 40 crew members that worked on the production of “Don’t Worry Darling” issued a joint statement on Saturday, disputing a report that director Olivia Wilde and lead Florence Pugh got into an argument on the set of the film.
The coalition of signees, which includes writer and producer Katie Silberman, cinematographer Matthew Libatique and costume designer Arianne Phillips, commends Wilde as “an incredible leader and director who was present and involved with every aspect of production.” The statement, obtained by People, expresses that “allegations about unprofessional behavior on the set of ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ are completely false.”

Sitting on a shelf for a long, long time (it shot about two years ago, with the first images arriving in 2011), the Keanu Reeves starring indie "Generation Um..." is finally making its way to theaters this spring. And this first trailer is here, and if you've ever wanted to see a movie where Reeves steals a video camera to like, shoot his own life woah, then this is for you. Written and directed by Mark Mann, the film follows the aimless John, who spends some time with two lovely ladies, Violet (Bojana Novakovic) and Mia (Adelaide Clemens) as they figure out their lives or whatever. The whole thing gives off the faint stink of Slacker Wisdom without really feeling earned at all. And we'll let YouTube user mrrap4food sum it up best: "...this is what neos life woulda been if he had of took that other pill." Word. "Generation Um......

Having Keanu Reeves introduce a trailer isn't an everyday occurrence, but Generation Um… is an indie flick that might only have Keanu Reeves going for it. The film looks gritty and/or completely disjointed, like Rent without the singing, maybe. Keanu operates a camera and quizzes his younger lady companions about their sex lives. He gets a cupcake-eating close-up. He drives a shabby brown automobile. That's about all we can tell. (THR has a little color to add, saying Generation Um... "follows a single night in the lives of three party-hopping friends in New York City as they document their sexual escapades and test the boundaries of their relationship.") Mark Mann's feature debut will hit VOD on April 26 and has a limited theatrical release beginning May 3.

You better pray to the god of skinny punks that this wind doesn't pick up 'cause I'll come over there and jam an oar up your ass! First up, Deadline reports Voltage Pictures is following their Best Picture winning movie The Hurt Locker with a project called Generation Um. Mark Mann will write and direct the story starring Keanu Reeves as a man with two beautiful female companions as they spend a day immersing themselves in sex, drugs and indecision. Bojana Novakovic (Edge of Darkness) and Adelaide Clemens (Mad Max: Fury Road) take the two female roles as Voltage hopes the film picks up steam for awards season next year. Meanwhile, in that same Deadline article announcing Generation Um, there's an extra tidbit of news that says Colin Farrell has fallen out of the Sheldon Turner directed drama By Virtue Fall. Both he and Eric Bana were interested back in June,...

Here's a look at some interesting and/or otherwise noteworthy projects that were recently added to IMDbPro's database of development titles:
Generation Um -- Keanu Reeves is set to star in this indie feature set in New York's lower east side. Written and directed by Finishing Heaven's Mark Mann, the film is expected to begin filming soon (maybe in your apartment?).
The Girl on the Landing -- Gosford Park scribe Julian Fellowes is serving up another romantic thriller with producer Robert Jones. The film based on Paul Torday's novel centers on young couple whose mundane life is shaken up by the husband's strange hallucinations.
Man Made Man -- David Duchovny and Téa Leoni's have optioned Pagan Kennedy's book that involves, "two sex changes, one love affair, and a twentieth-century medical revolution." The pair don't plan to star in the project, but will produce through their company And Then Productions along with Patina Pictures.
Hellraiser: Revelations -- While the remake of the '80s Clive Barker classic has stalled, Dimension is fast-tracking a straight-to-DVD installment to help keep its fans on pins and needles (and apparently help the studio retain the rights to the franchise). TV's La Femme Nikita star Peta Wilson toplines the project from director Victor Garcia.

I had to leave Westwood on Saturday before the much-anticipated (well, at least, by me) screening of Heaven Wants Out, the long-gestating film at the center of Mark Mann's documentary Finishing Heaven. I've been eagerly awaiting published reports that would clue me in on what I missed, but saw nothing for days. Finally, Craig Kennedy has weighed in at Living in Cinema. "I’d love to report that Heaven Wants Out is a belated triumph that will change how we perceive cinema," Craig writes. "But... <bl ...
