[[tmz:video id="0_0gopcy8g"]] John Wall wasn't too bummed out after losing his "No Mercy" game against Lonzo Ball's Lakers -- hitting up Warwick nightclub ... and telling TMZ Sports there's no bad blood. The Washington Wizards star vowed to punish the rookie for all the trash talk his dad, Lavar Ball, had been spouting off leading up to Wednesday's matchup at Staples Center. But Wall and the Wizards came up short -- losing to the Lakers in overtime -- and after the game,...

According to a new report from Forbes and a couple of other news outlets, it looks like the WWE is about to do something pretty wild with Roman Reigns' (above) character in an effort to try and cure Raw's declining ticket sales. Apparently, the WWE has plans to reunite Roman Reigns with his former tag team buddies Dean Ambrose and Seth "Freakin" Rollins to put The Shield back together again! They report that James McKenna of Pro Wrestling Sheet put out a tweet with a picture of the Shield. He captioned it with the words: "wowwww, hearing that to kickstart some ticket sales - they’re planning to give TLC in a month a Major card upgrade. its finally happeninggg." You guys can view the tweet on James McKenna's official Twitter account by Clicking Here. Forbes also said the Shield reunion was confirmed by the WWE booking team.

Salvation: Coup de Grace was definitely not about a mercy killing. After viewing it one of things that came to mind was King Lear. No, I’m not saying Salvation is Shakespeare, but the number of conspiracies and players certainly fit! I mean, if you saw the episode, doesn’t this remind you of it? Love cools off, friendships break up, and brothers become enemies. Riots, mutinies, in countries discord, in palaces treason, and the bond cracked ’twixt son and father. – Gloucester in King Lear Yep, there’s a whole lot of King Lear level lying and backstabbing going on. After a long gap following his 2013 hit, the spy-action thriller The Suspect (starring Gong Yoo), director Won Shin-yun is back with another eagerly anticipated thriller. Memoir of a Murderer (not to be confused with the recent Japanese hit Memoirs of a Murderer) carries forward the rich Korean tradition of gritty, suspenseful films featuring complex characters.
Sol Kyung-gu (No Mercy), Kim Nam-gil (Pandora), Kim Seol-hyun (Gangnam Blues) and Oh Dal-su (Master) star in leading roles.

3.7 The Law Of Inevitability
Ray Stussy was a pitiable figure in life. Somehow, he’s even more so in death. Not only has he been posthumously accused of being a domestic abuser, but the two people to whom he (could have) felt closest, his brother and his fiance, spent the aftermath of his death in a state of stunned submission. Stunned, not because of grief but because of the constraints that his death has placed on them.
For Nikki, the constraint is literal. Repeated shots of her handcuffs and the bars of her cell and prison transport underline her physical restrictions, while her dulled, numb expression reveals her psychological trap.

Hi! Welcome back to the Needle in a [Comic] Haystack, where I tell you all about the incredible and awesome comics you’re missing out on because there is a literal ocean of them. Today we’re going to deal with a series written by Alex De Campi, with art by a bunch of different artists, called Grindhouse.
Do you remember the old grindhouse movies? They were blackspoiltation films, women-in-prisons flicks — things that were titillating, slapped together, and, well, very grindhouse-y. People have tried to emulate these old movies for years, most of the time not doing a very good job. Perhaps the most famous example of this was the Grindhouse Double Feature by Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino. That’s another part of Grindhouse flicks – most of them were double features.
Which brings us to De Campi’s excellent series. You might recognize the writer. She’s done tons of comics: No Mercy,...

In traditional Hollywood Westerns or TV crime dramas, the sheriff, the marshal, or the local police are depicted as the unassailable line between good and evil, a safe zone if you will. Regardless of the type or scale of danger, you could always feel secure standing behind a lawman... although maybe not directly behind them, because bullets will inevitably fly. Not so on Fargo; creator Noah Hawley seems to hold the police (as an institution) in contempt -- he portrays the law as consistently corrupt, weak, or incompetent to varying degrees.
Interestingly, each season of Fargo also focuses upon a lone, incorruptible officer who won't back off, who faces down fear, and who (maybe) restores sanity to otherwise insane circumstances. Gloria (Carrie Coon) is willing to throw her career in the can -- on Christmas Eve, no less -- to see her case through. She conspires with perhaps the only other honest cop,...

(Spoiler alert: Please do not read on if you haven’t watched Wednesday’s episode of “Fargo”) “Fargo” Season 3’s wolf-toothed villain V.M. Varga (David Thewlis) loves to spin long metaphorical yarns, often to explain the need for his dubious deeds. In Episode 6, “The Lord of No Mercy,” Varga tells a few “true” tales at the top of the episode in order to explain that perception can create reality. One of those stories is about the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand in 1914 in Sarajevo. That’s the event that started World War I by kicking off tensions between the Austro-Hungarian Empire and.

Well that was something, huh?
After spending weeks introducing quirky characters and setting up the war between St. Cloud's Stussy brothers, Fargo kicks off the second half of this year's run by tightening its narrative noose – and choking one of its major players to death. Tonight's episode – "The Lord of No Mercy" – continues this season's uncomfortably relevant inquiries into how our world is secretly controlled by cynics who manipulate what we believe. But this was also a refreshingly action-packed episode, with conflicts, close shaves … and one fatal shard of glass lodged in Raymond Stussy's neck.

This time of year the WWE makes every effort they can to step up their performance. With Wrestlemania around the corner, they want to make sure as many eyes as possible are watching the Granddaddy of Them All. It’s also a time to reflect and honor the past as this is usually the time of year they start announcing the next WWE Hall of Fame class. Thanks to Bryan Alvarez from the Wrestling Observer, we may have some clue as to who will be a part of the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2017. Let’s discuss the picks now but remember, until they’re confirmed by the WWE, these choices are strictly rumor at this point.
Diamond Dallas Page
A deserving choice if there ever was one. Starting off as a manager, he worked his way up in his late 30’s to become a wrestler and eventual WCW World Champion.

1.Cm Punk lost his match against Mickey Gall at Ufc 203 this past week. While the outcome was pretty much expected by just about everyone, I have to give the guy credit. He had a dream he wanted to realize and despite the list of injuries he’s obtained through the years in the wrestling ring as well as being in his late thirties, an older age to start competing in combat sports like Mma, he fulfilled his dream. Not many people can say they did that especially with such odds stacked against them. With that being said, folks had some fun after the match creating some meme’s. While some weren’t in the best of taste, there was a funny one. I’ll leave that here.

Lil Wayne is laying down some bars for a brand new sports show on TV network Fox Sports. The show, Undisputed With Skip and Shannon, stars former Espn personality Skip Bayless and NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe, and Lil Wayne is providing its theme song with an intense track called “No Mercy.”
The short clip that premiered is presumably what viewers will hear during the intro of Undisputed when it debuts on September 6th. Despite it being made for a television program, the song seems to stand pretty well on its own. A full version of “No Mercy” will be made available sometime next month, and the rapper will also make an appearance during the inaugural episode next week. Bayless tells Billboard that he’s “honored” to have “such a legend” create a song for the show.

“No Mercy for the Rude” stands apart from the plethora of Korean thrillers, since it entails much nonsensicality in the script, characters that look like caricatures and much humor in cult fashion, before it becomes a melodrama during the end.
The protagonist, known as Killa (from the English word killer) is a hired assassin like no other. For starters, he is mute by choice, since he decided not to speak during his years in the orphanage, due to a lisp. Fans of the Resident Evil games should get excited, as Capcom recently announced that the upcoming re-release of Resident Evil 5 will be available digitally on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One beginning on June 28th, 2016, with a retail release set for July 12th.
Originally released in 2009, this updated version of Resident Evil 5 has been given the full treatment. It’s remastered in full 1080p, has an increased frame rate, and includes both The Desperate Escape and Lost in Nightmares DLCs.
In addition to the multiplayer modes featured in the original Resident Evil 5, also included in this updated version will be the once PC-exclusive, ultra-hard “No Mercy” mode. This follows Capcom’s plan of re-releasing updated versions of Resident Evil 4, 5, and 6 in reverse order, as they started with Resident Evil 6 back in March.

Instead of being shoved down fans’ throats against their will like John Cena and Roman Reigns have been down the years, Vince McMahon has been subtle in the way he has booked the Deadman. There was a time when monthly PPVs had a surefire surprise in store for fans: a new stage set.
From water–spray screens (Rumble ’03) and fire-breathing dragons (Nyr ’07) to swinging scythes (Backlash ’02) and ruddy great thrones (Kotr ’01), WWE knew how to build brilliant entrance backdrops.
Sure, they weren’t all great. Some were forgettable (No Mercy ’00), some were weird (Rumble ’07), and some flew in the face of everything they stood for (One Night Stand ’08).
But the bespoke TitanTron surrounds and arena sets were there to do a whole lot more than look pretty. Unique staging brought concrete character to PPV events in the biggest way possible. Gimmicks they might have been, but, by its nature, WWE survives on just such gimmicks, relying on event theming to drive storylines, hype Sunday night brawls and get fans on board.
Where are we now? WWE has ditched the logistical nightmare of...

There were 2 Hell In A Cell matches at the WWE Pay-Per-View of the same name. In one, Bray Wyatt faced Roman Reigns. In the other, a battle for the ages was promised as Brock Lesnar once again locked horns with The Undertaker. It’s been 13 years since the pair last met inside the infamous structure, doing so at the No Mercy event in October, 2002.
On that night, Brock Lesnar defeated ‘The Phenom’ to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The result was the same at Hell In A Cell in 2015, although the match was a little shorter than the aforementioned war from ’02. Back then, Lesnar and ‘Taker went just over 27 minutes. At Hell In A Cell, they went just over 18 minutes, which means Reigns vs. Wyatt – at 23 minutes in length – was actually the longer bout.
Thankfully, regardless of time limits, both matches were awesome. That word, awesome, is what is focused on here.

The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar; two of the biggest names in wrestling, and two of WWE’s guaranteed moneymakers. On the surface, slapping their match on the Hell in a Cell card – an otherwise underwhelming PPV – seems to make perfect sense.
The Undertaker’s history with the stipulation is as well celebrated as it is well documented, and it even harks all the way back to their torch-passing war at No Mercy 2002. Short of Zach Gowan hopping down to ringside to ruin the finish, nothing could make it more exciting or more historically relevant.
No right-minded fan wants this match to fail. WWE would benefit immensely if Lesnar and Taker put on a thrilling ‘Match of the Year’ candidate (it could even give the company a desperately-needed boost in the midst of a historic slump) – but that simply isn’t going to happen.
The deck is thoroughly stacked against both men,...

Traditionally, the Intercontinental Title is WWE’s secondary belt. Established in 1979, the title was first held by Pat Patterson. A phony tournament was said to be held in Rio De Janeiro, but in reality didn’t happen. This was done to try and give the belt – and thus Patterson – more credibility, rather than simply announcing that he had been awarded the new strap.
Over the years, WWE management have had a love/hate relationship with the Intercontinental Title. When the company introduced the World Heavyweight Championship in 2002, the belt suddenly became less important to the promotion. In truth, the Intercontinental Title had been suffering a few years before that, and it would sadly be merged with the World Title at No Mercy that year.
It wouldn’t be long until the famous title would return. In 2003, WWE brought the belt back, and it’s been a fixture ever since.

★★★★★ Ben Cresciman's intense psychological horror film Sun Choke (2015) is the story of a woman staring into the abyss of nothingness and liking what she sees: absolute nothing, a retreat from the chaos of the light. It's been likened to grand auteurs such as Bergman, Lynch and Polanski, and those debts are easily enough to pull out. However, the director's approach and 'treatment' of his protagonist, Janie (the astoundingly good Sarah Hagan), and the depiction of her mental illness and form of disassociation is perhaps more informed and closer in spirit to the 1981 German production, No Mercy, No Future, by Helma Sanders-Brahms.

Last month, WWE announced the fall release of WWE 2K16, the latest installment in its annual parade of ultra-intricate, hyper-detailed video games. While last year’s 2K15 was touted as the pinnacle of wrestling games — boasting an Nxt-to-the-main-roster career mode and recreations of well-regarded real-life storylines — this year’s offering already looks ready to eclipse it: with the announcement of the game came the revelation that the roster will boast 120 playable characters, up from 67 in 2K15.
Is more always more, though? Fans salivate when new features are announced each summer, but once the games hit, reactions are often mixed. IGN panned 2K15, comparing it unfavorably to the previous year’s installment, while Game Informer was more generous, but still only offered a 7/10 rating. It seems like each game released only deepens the void separating the current output from the most critically-acclaimed wrestling game of all time.

After a truly horrible night in the last issue, the main players in No Mercy see their situation as it is: bleak. Sitting in the middle of nowhere with nothing (substantial) to eat and no water to drink puts them on edge. The mostly silent Kira goes on a tirade against Gina, but Travis is there to help her through such an emotional event. He’s such a help that they decide to run into the wilderness by themselves. It’s almost too easy to write them off as coyote fodder. Hopefully, they’ll reappear as their polarities make them some extremely entertaining characters.
Elsewhere, Chad is fed up with waiting and recruits DeShawn and Tiffani to scale a mountain to get to the closest village. In typical No Mercy fashion,...

This is my overview of the Image Comics Spotlight panel. I get there a few minutes early to make sure I can hear everything and have a good line of sight to take pictures for potential announcements. While I wait for the panel to start, I look around the open ended theater to check the turnout for the panel. The first few rows are filled to capacity already, and people try and find seats where they can. The panel begins and our panelists for the day are Adam McGovern (Nightworld writer), Becky Cloonan (Southern Cross writer), Brandon Graham (8House: Arclight writer), Valentine De Landro (Bitch Planet artist), and Alex de Campi (No Mercy writer).
Each panelist goes through the books I named above and tells us a few short points about why we should be reading these books.

So much seems to happen in No Mercy, it’s surprising it isn’t filled with more pages than other books. At the same time, the storyline is simple enough to really make the reader connect with the characters and want the moral ones to succeed. This issue is simple enough: Chad and Charlene are trying to escape from the coyotes while stranded in the bus. They’re aided by The Quiet Kid, who we learn is named Anthony, and everyone’s favorite modern hippie, Travis.
On the bus, we discover just how strained the relationship between Chad and Charlene truly is. As we’ve seen in the previous two issues, Chad has no issue with only doing what’s best for him. In this issue, we see that...

When all the dust settles from issue #1, No Mercy #2 picks up with the survivors from the bus crash trying to work together to fend off all possible threats. First there are a few members of the party who are badly injured or even dead. The dead bodies bring the biggest threat, coyotes.
Alex de Campi is beginning to wield a survival story. On the surface it seems like a straightforward story—wait for daylight, find some help and get out. Not everything is so easy in de Campi’s world as one lone adult must wrangle the suffering and destroyed psyches of many extremely smart eighteen year-olds. Perhaps there are a few of them who have the wherewithal to survive the night and fend off the elements but who...

WWE Pay Per Views these days seem to fall into one of three distinct categories. You have the recognised big four – WrestleMania, the Royal Rumble, SummerSlam and Survivor Series. You have the standard generically named PPVs such as Fastlane and Battleground, descendants of the Attitude Era’s Judgement Day, Fully Loaded, No Mercy, and so on. Finally, you have an uninspiring new trend – stipulation specific shows. Although cool in theory, PPVs such as TLC, Extreme Rules and Hell In A Cell result in watered-down versions of matches previously accepted as blood-feud blowoffs.
It’s not the worst schedule in the world, but certainly one in need of improvement. Luckily, the WWE has a long history of now-defunct Pay Per View concepts which could potentially thrive in the current environment. From overseas specials to legendary tournaments, many old beloved PPVs would surely be an improvement on quite a few...

The characters in Alex De Campi’s new book, No Mercy, decide to get ahead of their soon-to-be Princeton classmates by going to “Mataguey” to help build some houses; what could go wrong? The only perilous thing that happens is the bus running off the road and crashing into a ditch. No problems here.
De Campi takes us on the journey with myriad characters. There is the traveling hipster, girl with her first smartphone, creepy guy, and apathetic bystander, amongst others. Seol Kyung-gu and Ko Soo are teaming for upcoming thriller Lucid Dream. From first-time director Kim Joon-sung, the film will also star Kang Hye-jung. The story, if I understood it correctly, deals with a father who goes searching for his kidnapped child. He enlists the help of people who can find clues through lucid dreams. The premise of Lucid Dream sounds fun but if Seol is playing the father of the victim, that would be the umpteenth time he's tackled the same character. He's excellent in that kind of role, but after Voice of a Murderer (2007), Troubleshooter (2010), No Mercy (2010) and Hope (2013), he's in danger of typecasting himself within very narrow parameters. We will next see Seol again in the war film...

So, it’s been a while since I wrote WWE Raw reviews, but here goes, I’m guessing this is like riding a muscular, spandex-clad bicycle. We are half way through January, and that means one thing in the world of professional wrestling; we’re almost at Royal Rumble, and thus; almost on the road to WrestleMania.
I, for one, have always been a fan of the first quarter of WWE’s year. Rumble, Mania, and some excellent Raw events are promoted in order to bring in a big number of fans for the company’s annual “big” show. So, really, from now until mid-April, no Raw should be wasted, and no event should feel “phoned in”.
We go right to the ring tonight, with John Cena standing, smiling, doing his comedy stuff and talking about a mixture of things such as… fun, The Authority, bring upset, Triple H and the “firings” of Dolph Ziggler,...

Let’s face it: WWE 2K15 wasn’t everything it was hyped to be. After all the bluster and it being promoted as a “new era for wrestling video games,” 2K’s sequel failed to live up to fans’ lofty expectations of evolution. That’s not to say it was a terrible game per se, but it falls in line with its predecessors and it’s far from the revolution promised. The gameplay is fun and the graphics are great, but what about it will make it worth playing years down the line? It’s hardly going to be for the weak roster, the limited game modes, or the lack of originality.
Inevitably, the past offers the model against which WWE 2K15 must be judged: and in the cold light of day, not only is it no different than anything else we’ve been treated to in recent years,...

By now you should be aware of WWE’s rather selective memory. Great swathes of wrestling history are happily swept under the carpet to preserve the status quo; you certainly won’t ever hear a mention of John Cena tapping clean at No Mercy 2003, for example. The promotion doesn’t trust their fans to understand concepts such as character development or any sort of gradual change over time – everything must be considered the same as it is now.
A curious victim of WWE’s constant revisionism is the traditional Survivor Series match (and arguably the Pay Per View as a whole). Although always willing to push the historical importance of WrestleMania and the Royal Rumble, Vince McMahon and co. are surprisingly hesitant to build up their second-oldest PPV as a card of particular importance. Kurt Angle is one of the best professional wrestlers of all time an is arguably the greatest in the last 15 years. Some might say he is definitely the best of his generation. He’s also a man that probably should have been in WWE during all this time, but sometimes things happen in people’s lives that cause them to change course and that’s what Angle did when he left WWE in 2006.
The run that Angle had in WWE from his debut at Survivor Series 1999 until his departure in August 2006 was phenomenal. He won his first WWE Title against The Rock at No Mercy 2000, which was less than a year after his main roster debut. By 2002, he was considered the best overall performer in the company by most people and in 2003 he headlined WrestleMania 19 against Brock Lesnar. Right up until his final days in WWE he was the considered the best.

The 2001 edition of WWE (WWF at the time) No Mercy took place on October 21, 2001 in St. Louis, Missouri. It was the second WWE PPV that followed the horrific September 11, 2001 incident that surprised America and the rest of the world. They did their best to provide wrestling fans with entertaining storylines while also continuing the WCW/Ecw invasion angle.
It was a show that was historic because of one of the two major title matches. Chris Jericho challenged The Rock for the WCW World Title in a matchup that was the biggest match of Jericho’s career at the time and had people watching intently to see if he could win a major title for the first time.
The main event featured Steve Austin back in the heel role as the WWE Champion that had won the title back from Kurt Angle, who beat Austin for it at the Unforgiven PPV one month earlier.

Over the course of The Undertaker’s 24 years in WWE, he’s amassed a pretty impressive win-loss record. Part of that is part and parcel of the gimmick, of course — an invincible demon can’t exactly go around losing matches right and left. It’s more than that, though — Mark Calaway is so talented (and has gained such a huge level of respect over his career) that it makes no sense to beat him often. He can contribute more at the top of the card than anywhere else. Even working in a reduced capacity, protecting him only adds to his mystique.
Of course, 24 years is a long time. During the literally thousands of matches he’s had in WWE, he’s had to do the time-honored tradition on many occasions. Sometimes — like when putting over Steve Austin at SummerSlam 1998 or Brock Lesnar at No Mercy 2002 — it makes sense.

Chickens are coming home to roost.
With their weird ways, stoic appearances and controversial messaging – "There is no family" – the Guilty Remnant cult in Mapleton came under heavy fire on Sunday's episode of HBO's The Leftovers.
In a gruesome, hard-to-watch opener, we learn just how much the local cult is loathed. And how barbaric some in town have become since the disappearances.
No Mercy
The episode starts with a pair of cult members on their usual stalk walks through town. When they go to a gas station so one can use the restroom, the pit stop proves costly. The waiting...
