Exclusive: Xyz Films has signed on to handle worldwide sales rights to Oz sci-fi thriller 2067, starring Kodi Smit-McPhee (X:Men) and Ryan Kwanten (True Blood). Previously with Content Media, the film marks writer-director Seth Larney’s (Tombiruo) English-language directorial debut. The movie takes place in a world plagued by a disease after climate change has forced the adoption of artificial oxygen. With his wife sick and little hope for survival, Ethan (Smit-McPhee) is forced to travel to the future in search of a cure for the mysterious illness. Not knowing who to trust, he has to navigate a future filled with imminent danger and the possibility of never coming home. [
Producers are Lisa Shaunessy for Arcadia, Jason Taylor for Futurism Studios and Kate Croser for Kojo Entertainment.
Xyz Films is planning to market the film virtually over the coming weeks, in lieu of a traditional film market due to the Covid-19 crisis.
Content Media’s parent company Kew Media collapsed earlier this year meaning the film needed a new sales home. The feature received major production funding from Screen Australia, in association with South Australian Film Corporation (Safc), Adelaide Film Festival Investment Fund and Screen Nsw (New South Wales) and was financed with support from Elevate Production Finance, Grumpy Sailor, Spectrum Films and Cumulus VFX.
Xyz’s recent slate of sales titles include Rza’s Cut Throat City, The Silencing, Sion Sono’s Prisoners Of The Ghostland and Stowaway.
Larney is repped by Rgm Artists. Smit-McPhee is repped by ICM Partners. Kwanten is repped by Rgm Artists, Wme and Link Entertainment.

“Dancing with the Stars” has had nine athlete runners-up and will add a 10th after this all-athletes season. Of those first nine, 34 percent of our readers voted in a recent poll that Shawn Johnson should’ve definitely won Season 15 with Derek Hough.
Johnson and Hough came in second to Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani on the all-stars season. The Olympic gymnast won Season 8 with Mark Ballas and was seeking to becoming the first celebrity to win two Mirroball trophies. Both couples received high marks throughout the season, but perhaps Johnson’s previous win (as well as Hough’s three wins) hurt them in the fan votes.
Twenty-five percent of our readers feel that James Hinchcliffe and Sharna Burgess were robbed of a win on Season 23. The IndyCar driver lost to Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez and Val Chmerkovskiy, who dominated the season.

‘Dancing with the Stars’ has seen 10 athletes lift the Mirrorball trophy and almost nearly as many athletes came thisclose to getting their hands on it. Nine athletes have finished in second place on the show — some of them even losing to fellow athletes. Some of these losses were expected, some were close calls, but which of these runners-up deserved the win the most?
Jerry Rice was the first athlete runner-up. The three-time Super Bowl champ and Anna Trebunskaya lost to Drew Lachey and Cheryl Burke in Season 2. Rice and Trebunskaya had the third lowest score of the final three on finale night, but beat third-place finishers Stacy Keibler and Tony Dovolani with fan votes added in.

He wasn’t just the school’s football coach, Aaron Feis was also a life coach to the thousands of students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school.
On Feb. 14, 37-year-old Feis, a loving father, husband and security monitor, was shot to death by the former student, 19, whom he had often dealt with. Remembered as a big teddy bear and father figure to students, Feis, who was one of the 17 people killed at the Parkland, Florida, campus, was mourned by loved ones and shooting survivors during an emotional memorial service held at the Church by the Glades in Coral Springs, Florida.

Dancing with the Stars Judges. This week's double elimination result on Dancing with the Stars was hardly a surprise to anyone, since the two who got eliminated, Penn Jillette and Monica Seles, received the lowest scores from the judges. On the other hand, finding out that teenage singers like the Jonas Brothers can actually be entertaining, now that's a shocker!
But every week, the hosts of Dancing with the Stars, Tom Bergeron and Samantha Harris, are always reminding us that the judges' scores are not the only factors that go into figuring out who will be booted off, which is why we have to get off our couches and call or text in our votes. The question is, how do they combine the judges' scores and America's votes?
Let's put aside all thoughts of heel-leading and death spirals, and do some quick math. Remember to show your work, or you...

Monica Seles" src="http://www.buddytv.com/articles/Image/Dancing-with-the-Stars/DWTS6/031808-jonathan-monica.jpg" />Yesterday, I compiled a list of the best parts of the two-night Dancing with the Stars premiere. The noteworthy celebs and dancers mentioned were Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark Ballas for the best and highest-scoring performance, Tony Dovolani for the best—and also tackiest—outfit, Steve Guttenberg and Marissa Jaret Winokur were tied for having the best attitude, and I believe that Marlee Matlin and Jason Taylor have the best chance at winning.
That was yesterday, however. Today, we get to unleash our inner Schadenfreude and pick apart the worst of the first Dancing with the Stars performances.
Worst Performance
Based on the judges' scoring, Monica Seles and Adam Carolla are tied for last place with just 15 points apiece. But I disagree slightly with the judges here: I think that Monica and Penn Jillette should actually be tied for worst.

Dancing with the Stars judges" />One of the best parts about Dancing with the Stars is that we all get to be armchair dance critics. Probably very few of us will ever get a chance to learn the samba from a world-class ballroom champion, but from watching the show, we still do develop a good, critical eye and taste for all things ballroom. And now that the two-night Dancing with the Stars premiere is over, we've had a chance to mull over all 12 performances, so let the analysis begin!
What did you like best about Monday and Tuesday night? Which couple had the best performance? Who had the best costume? Who has the best attitude and the best chance at winning? Read on to see what I thought, and then post your own thoughts.
Best Performance
This one's easy. Hands-down, Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark Ballas easily had the best performance of the two-night premiere.

All this week, I have carefully made a study of all 12 of the celebrities who will grace the dance floor on season 6 of Dancing with the Stars. This season's cast is so strong that it's virtually impossible to predict how things will go, especially considering that each couple's fate is in the hands of a sometimes fickle voting public. Nevertheless, I have done my best to gather information on each of the 12 dancing couples to make an informed prediction on how the season will play out.
Below, find the Power Rankings for the Top Four couples on Dancing with the Stars season 6.
4. Cristian de la Fuente and Cheryl Burke
Cristian de la Fuente is not terribly widely known in the U.S. He's not a complete stranger, however, having appeared on Ugly Betty and Csi: Miami, but more importantly, he is one sexy man, with hot Latin rhythms running through his veins.
