Kyran Bracken wants Dancing On Ice bosses to reinstate Karen Barber to the show’s judging panel.
The rugby champion won the 2007 series of the show with his professional partner Melanie Lambert and said that current judges Emma Bunton and Jason Gardiner don’t have enough knowledge of ice skating to offer a proper critique.
“The whole audience was rocking and that definitely makes a difference with non-skating judges,” he wrote in his Blue Room blog.
“Irrespective of how complicated Sam’s team skated [which was miles better] the better ‘performers’ won. Another example of how wrong the producers have got the judging panel.”
He added: “I would love to see Karen back on the panel with hers and Robin [Cousins]‘s marks having priority over the other two, whoever they may be!”

"Skating With the Stars" premieres on Nov. 22, and though ABC is keeping mum about the judges' panel, they've revealed 8 key players in the upcoming freshman season.
Team USA's all-time winningest ice dancer, Tanith Belbin, brings her expertise as color commentator, and British TV personality Vernon Kay will host. (For those not familiar with Kay, he's basically the male version of Cat Deeley).
As for the six professional skaters who've already been training with their celebrity partners, here they are:
Ethan Burgess and Bethenny Frankel: Burgess took bronze and pewter medals at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships 2004 and 2005 in pairs before playing Jon Heder's stunt double in "Blades of Glory."
Brooke Castile and Jonny Moseley: Castile took home the U.S. pairs title in 2007.
Keauna McLaughlin and Brandon Mychal Smith: McLaughlin won the same medals as Burgess, as the two used to be partners. She now competes,...

Okay, it’s easy to look at the roster of “pros” on ABC’s Skating With the Stars and dismiss them. But ask yourself this: How many of the pros’ names did you recognize on Dancing With the Stars that first season? It’s just because you — especially those who enjoy PopWatch on Ice coverage — can actually rattle off some famous figure skaters that you’re questioning these pros’ abilities before even seeing them in action. (That was a tougher spin than a Biellmann!) Here are the pairings. The show premieres Nov. 22.

Rebecca Budig will know soon whether she's on thin ice.
The longtime cast member of the ABC weekday serial "All My Children" skated regularly as a child, but that was only partial preparation for her to be one of the first celebrities on the rink for "Skating With the Stars," ABC's new "Dancing With the Stars" spinoff that premieres Monday, Nov. 22.
"I don't feel any added pressure," Budig tells Zap2it about being one of the inaugural "Skating" stars. "Maybe I will when Nov. 22 rolls around, but not right now. They came to me about 'Dancing With the Stars' several times, but the timing was always wrong.
"Don't get me wrong, I love to dance," Budig adds, "but I am passionate about ice skating. My sister and I skated together growing up, and we'd always watch it on TV. And she is so jealous of me right now!

Melanie Lambert has claimed that Danny Young's topless skate on Dancing On Ice "floored" Jason Gardiner. The professional skater, who exited the competition with Boyzone's Mikey Graham last night, said that the Australian judge was "blushing" after the actor finished his routine. Young totalled 22.5 points for his Rocky-themed skate yesterday, leaving him second on the judges' scoreboard. "Danny asked me whether he should [go topless]. I said, (more)...

Mikey Graham has become the ninth celebrity to be voted off this series of Dancing On Ice. The Boyzone star and his professional partner Melanie Lambert found themselves in the skate-off alongside Danniella Westbrook and Matthew Gonzalez when the judges' scores and the viewers' votes had been added together. Both couples then had to repeat their routines in an attempt to convince judges Karen Barber, Nicky Slater, Jason Gardiner, Emma Bunton and Robin Cousins to keep them in the competition. Barber began the voting by choosing to save Westbrook, but Slater went on to save Graham, claiming that the performance had "moved" him. Gardiner opted to keep Graham and Bunton chose Westbrook, meaning that Cousins had the final (more)...

Tonight’s awesome Dancing On Ice theme is music from the movies. Let’s see if some imagination-bereft act chooses Berlin’s Take My Breath Away. I wonder what other movie cliches will be reheated and served up for our viewing pleasure tonight? Have your guess in the comments!
There’s a very suave intro routine to Luck Be A Lady, which set the pace beautifully. Torvill and Dean announce the required element, which is a Solo Spin, and they’ve required that each skater must spin twice.
Hollywatch: This week, Holly’s wearing a glamorous but demure red dress, which emphasizes that pear-shaped figure to perfection. There’s 50% less boobage than last week, but we’ll survive.
Scoreboard Hayley Tamaddon and Daniel Whiston – 30.0 Danny Young and Frankie Poultney – 22.5 Kieron Richardson and Brianne Delcourt – 21.0 Gary Lucy and Maria Filippov – 20.5 Daniella Westbrook and Matthew Gonzalez – 19.5 Mikey Graham and Melanie Lambert – 19.0 Danny Young...

Emily Atack has backed Mikey Graham to come back fighting on next week's Dancing On Ice. The Boyzone singer finished bottom of the judges' scoreboard yesterday, totalling only 13.5 points for his routine with Melanie Lambert. Graham, who injured himself during final rehearsals, was only saved from the skate-off by the public vote. Speaking about the singer's performance on the (more)...

Hello Dancing On Ice fans! Last week we lost Sharron Davies after she ignored the advice of the verable Messrs Torvill and Dean. We hope her shoulder is recovering Only 7 skating couples remain – and with most of the weaker competition eliminated at this point, will Emily Atack finally fall foul of the public vote.
But first, this week’s Hollywatch – she’s wearing a glamorous frock as usual, but it looks like the dress has slipped down about four inches from where it should be. Not that I’m complaining, ladies and gentlemen, I’m a big supporter of Holly’s cleavage…
The show is opened by a beautiful routine by Torvill and Dean with music provided by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber and Katherine Jenkins. They’re joined by the professional skaters waving flowing white flags.
Scoreboard Hayley Tamaddon and Daniel Whiston – 25.5 Daniella Westbrook and Matthew Gonzalez – 22.0 Danny Young and...

Welcome to our live coverage of tonight’s Dancing On Ice show. After an amazing Valentine’s Day episode last week, we’re more than a little bit excited to see what’s on the show this week!
Hayley Tamaddon topped the scoreboard last week, but will Gary Lucy, Daniella Westbrook or Kieron Richardson catch up with her?
And on Hollywatch this week, Ms Willoughby is wearing what looks like a bodice with a dress tacked on. Very sexy. And Torvill and Dean give another effortlessly graceful opening to the show. Tonight’s guest judge – in case you care – is former newsreader Angela Rippon.

Somehow, in a bid to make the Sunday-evening-eating monster that is Dancing On Ice even more unpalatable, ITV have chosen to hire Michael Ball to replace Robin Cousins. The five-person judging team was overloaded anyway – I’d have been happy to have a four-person panel and more of Jason Gardiner’s classic spiteful comments!
Anyway, we’re covering Dancing On Ice live tonight – this post will have judge’s comments, a scoreboard and some of my own commentary on each act. Enjoy! And leave loads of comments!
