Spoilers and leaks are nothing new in the world of superhero media, most of the time they come from unofficial sources and are easy to ignore but it’s not every day that the upcoming villain in the MCU is spoiled via McDonald’s toy, and that’s exactly what happened.
A McDonald’s Happy Meal promotion inadvertently revealed a first look at Diamondback for the upcoming ‘Captain America: Brave New World. ‘The packaging refers to the character as “Cascavel,” Portuguese for Rattlesnake, hinting at their MCU adaptation. The figure resembles the Marvel Comics villain, with matching hair color and a black and purple suit.

Since we’re now into the slow slide from Easter/Spring Break into the Summer cinema season, how about an Mma-style action thriller full of fights and daring escapes? Oh, you say we just had that in the remake of Road House just a couple of weeks ago. Well that flick, despite the director’s protests to the press, bypassed the multiplex and went right to a streaming service. And this new release almost went the same route until an Oscar-winning filmmaker saw it, bought it, and helped prep it for a wide theatrical debut. Oh, and speaking of debuts, this is the first feature directed by the star of a Best Picture Oscar winner over a dozen years ago. Yes, he was the lead in that, and he’s in the lead here as the mysterious avenger who is known as the Monkey Man. And no, he’s not another comics-based hero.

Marvel’s upcoming movie Captain America: Brave New World has created a lot of anticipation among fans, especially with the rumors about the introduction of the Serpent Society in the movie. Unfortunately, the film went through several re-shoots and as per some sources, the Serpent Society has been cut out from the movie.
Marvel’s Captain America: Brave New World (2025)
The film was initially set for release in the summer of 2024. However, the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes slowed down the production and Marvel decided to make some major changes to the movie. This cut means that WWE star Superstar Seth Rollins, who was appearing as King Cobra in the movie, will also be removed. The reshoots of the film will reportedly begin in May and end in August of 2024.

It has been more than four years since Chris Evans’ portrayal of Steve Rogers, the original Captain America, passed on his iconic shield to his friend and teammate Sam Wilson. The conclusion of ‘Avengers: Endgame’ provided Steve Rogers with a happy ending and paved the way for Anthony Mackie’s Falcon to step into the role of the next Captain America. However, in 2021’s ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,’ we witnessed Sam initially rejecting the shield. Eventually, he decided to embrace the mantle of Steve Rogers’ successor, especially when it became evident that the US government wouldn’t allow the shield to remain in a museum.
Shortly after the conclusion of ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,’ reports surfaced about the development of the fourth Captain America movie. Kevin Feige officially announced the film as ‘Captain America: New World Order’ at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con. However, the title underwent a change last year,...

Let’s be honest, what’s your all-time favorite dragon movie? Is it Dragonslayer? Dragonheart? Q: The Winged Serpent? Maybe it’s an animated feature like How to Train Your Dragon or Raya and the Last Dragon? No matter what your answer is, the unpopular opinion remains, Rob Bowman’s 2002 popcorn flick Reign of Fire is one of the most underrated movies featuring the mythic fire-breathing beasts. Never mind the fact that the flick boasts a lowly 39 Metascore and 42% Rotten Tomatoes score, the grim dystopian world-building, excellent visual effects, and big-d*ck swinging performances from Matthew McConaughey and Christian Bale remain a ton of fun to behold. Of course, Reign of Fire had the misfortune of running into the far more potent cinematic behemoth, Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, which largely overshadowed the movie’s mild commercial success and eventually relegated the film into obscurity at worst,...

The SAG-AFTRA strike wrapped up yesterday. The Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) has finally reached an agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP). The exact details of the deal are still under wraps, but it marks the end of a prolonged battle involving concerns about the use of artificial intelligence in actors’ performances and the actors’ push for residual payments from shows and films streaming online.
With the strike behind us, several MCU projects are back on track, resuming their normal schedules. ‘Deadpool 3,’ which was only halfway through production, will resume filming, along with Sony’s ‘Venom 3,’ whose release date was pushed to the end of 2024. In a recent episode of Hot Mic, Jeff Sneider discussed ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ and the implications of the strike’s conclusion on this highly anticipated project.

I’ve written elsewhere that I’m not Nick Spencer’s biggest fan, and I’ve not been impressed with what he’s done with Peter Parker and the Spider-Man books he’s written. Yet here I am reviewing a Spider-Man book he’s written. Hear me out, though. I like Spider-Man as a character, whoever is writing and drawing him, so I’ll always give a writer or artist a second shot at impressing me. I also like Mark Bagley as a Spider-Man artist, so he helped draw me in. Finally, the premise was interesting. The hook is always designed to entice us in, and it worked with me. The Sinister Six is always a fun concept, and Spencer is not only running with that, but throwing in a whole lot more. There’s enough in all...

“Pretty Little Liars” alum Keegan Allen has joined the cast of “Walker,” The CW’s upcoming reboot of “Walker, Texas Ranger,” Variety has learned exclusively.
He joins previously announced stars Jared Padalecki and Lindsey Morgan. Padalecki stars as Cordell Walker, a widower and father of two with his own moral code, who returns home to Austin after being undercover for two years, only to discover there’s harder work to be done at home. He’ll attempt to reconnect with his children, navigate clashes with his family, and find unexpected common ground with his new partner (Morgan) — one of the first women in Texas Rangers’ history — while growing increasingly suspicious about the circumstances surrounding his wife’s death.
Allen will play Liam Walker. Described as smart, slightly smug, but with a strong moral compass, Liam is Walker’s younger gay and conservative brother who has been recently promoted to assistant Da.

The newest from King Cobra director Justin Kelly, Jeremiah Terminator LeRoy, opens with Laura Dern’s gruff, heavy twang voiceover echoing through a dark theatre. Even though the film charts the wild rise of the famous alias author before inevitable and controversial decline, the shock of her accented voice is about as gasp inducing as the film gets. Dern stars as Laura Albert, the artist that created the LeRoy illusion and wrote several successful novels in his voice. The film also stars Kristen Stewart as Savannah Knoop, the woman that Albert convinced to portray Jt in public and helped shape him in non-binary Warhol-ish mode. “Jt” claims that fiction can be more true than truth (or... something), but Kelly’s film is far from making that case.

The Marvel Legends action figures for Avengers: Infinity War have already started popping up in toy stores. One of these figures is for Captain America, and it gives us our first look at the new shield he'll be sporting in the movie. As you will see, it's very different from his classic shield. This one has more of a Wakandan visual style. When Black Panther tells someone to "get this man a shield" in the trailer, this is the shield that they'll probably end up giving him.
It makes sense that Cap would be getting a new shield. Cap and his team were invited by Black Panther to stay in Wakanda after the fallout from Civil War. I'm sure you all remember that Cap left his original shield at the feet of Tony Stark after their big fight before he walked away. I imagine that he'll eventually get his original shield back,...
