Lokesh Kanagaraj is one of those writer-directors who is known for making exceptionally entertaining films, often called the ‘masala’ potboilers. But his films have an attractive quality, and they are not necessarily ‘bad,’ artistically speaking. Sure, his films have larger-than-life characters, but his writing always gives them a strong emotional core, which is why his films become relatable and enjoyable. His new film Leo is another one in his ‘Lokesh Cinematic Universe’ where we see Thalapathy Vijay in his well-known action avatar. There are Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Sarja, who play the Das brothers in the film and act as Vijay’s nemesis in the film. Once Antony Das and his brother Harold figure that Leo, Antony’s son, may still be alive and living as Parthiban in Shimla, they pay him a visit to uncover the truth and settle the scores once and for all. Lokesh Kanagaraj is back with another film in his ‘multiverse,’ where he has paired with actor Thalapathy Vijay yet again. Their last outing had been quite successful, as Master was praised both critically and commercially. Now the pairing is back with Leo, Vijay’s 67th film. Because of that reason, the movie was supposed to be released with the title Thalapathy 67 but the title Leo worked out just fine. After all, Leo is the one everyone is after in this movie. But the movie begins with Parthiban, who owns a small cafe in Theog, Shimla. He is quite an interesting fellow, as, besides being a simple cafe owner, he is also an animal rescuer and helps local rangers. Like in A History of Violence, the world of crime finds Parthiban, and he is suspected to be the most feared criminal in Tamil Nadu, named Leo Das, because of their uncanny resemblance.

Star Trek Nemesis just about marked the death of the franchise. Indeed, the fact that it was a worldwide box-office disaster meant that many felt the series had run out of steam. More than just a series set in the Monsterverse, focused on Titan creatures such as Godzilla and other MUTOs, Apple TV+’s new series “Monarch: Legacy Of Monsters” focuses on the more human/familial aspects of the universe that spans over many decades.
The main thread of the series is the story of two siblings learning about their father’s secret life and his ties to a mysterious organization called Monarch. They end up discovering much more than they anticipated in regard to their father’s research, new Titans, and their tie to the origins of Monarch.
