On Monday, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-ny) took to Instagram Live, as she frequently does to address her followers directly, to speak publicly in detail for the first time about her experience being barricaded in her office during the January 6th Capitol insurrection. On her Live, she recounted in terrifying detail how rioters were stalking the halls looking for her while she hid in the bathroom of Rep. Katie Porter’s office.

While America waits anxiously for a winner to be projected in the presidential election, another man has stepped in to be our fearless leader: MSNBC’s Steve Kornacki.
The embodiment of tired and wired, Kornacki is MSNBC’s national political correspondent, “map daddy,” khaki king and, dare we say, chief thirst trap. The 41-year-old has earned himself sparkly fan cams and legions of horny fans on social media who have become infatuated with his caffeinated delivery, spot-on calculations and relentless desire to stay on-air to track the vote count — so much so that the poor man had to be forcibly removed from the building so he could get some sleep.
Included in his die-hard fans? Comedian Leslie Jones, who has let her followers watch in real-time as she has “fallen in love” with Kornacki.
Rest assured, Kornacki hasn’t let his renewed fame get to his head — or in the way of delivering the numbers.

Dozens of internet denizens were abuzz Thursday after Newsweek reported that the Earth could be facing destruction inside the grips of a black hole.
A tweet with some accompanying dramatic art of what the black hole might look like, swiftly took off in some quarters. And, instead of fear, most responses focused on how pleased they would be to be sucked into cosmic oblivion.

“Hell yeah,” said BuzzFeed breaking news deputy director David Mack. “My body is ready,” seconded feminist author Jessica Valenti. Meanwhile, Monica Lewinsky wondered if, perhaps, the end had already come.

Comedian Michelle Wolf has fired back at critics of her scorched-earth set at last night’s White House Correspondents Dinner.
Twitter continues to percolate today, with hashtags from the night comprising more than half of the top 10 trending topics. Republicans naturally have pounced on the set, which spared few in the Trump Administration or the media. Donald Trump, who did not attend, tweeted that Wolf “really ‘bombed,'” putting the word in quotes for reasons that remain unclear. When former press secretary Sean Spicer called the whole event a “disgrace,” Wolf replied with a simple “thank you!”
Because Wolf took aim at press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders and commented on her makeup, there was also plenty of criticism in the center and on the left side of the aisle. Mika Brzezinski, co-host of MSNBC’s Morning Joe,...

As we quickly approach 2018, it’s safe to say that one of 2017’s major victories is the general agreement that sexual harassment just won’t fly anymore. From Harvey Weinstein to Matt Lauer and Mario Batali, women have taken a stand against the men who have wronged them — both in their personal and professional lives. But in a new Jimmy Choo boot commercial, Cara Delevingne, who has spoken out about her own harassment by Weinstein, seems to be sexually harassed while walking down the street — and the internet is not okay with it.
