Demi Lovato's new album Here We Go Again hits stores today, and it's a more rocking effort than her debut disc. Lovato talked a lot about the album with MTV News' Jocelyn Vena, but one of the things that she cited was her professional relationship with John Mayer. She had been a big fan for a long time, so it was something of a wish fulfilled when they collaborated on the new record's "World of Chances." She enjoyed the process but joked about how many tangents his hits in the studio.
Mayer wasn't the only special guest to provide an assist on Lovato's latest. She also worked with singer-songwriter Jon McLaughlin ("Falling Over Me"), the Academy Is... frontman William Beckett ("For the Love of a Daughter," which didn't make the album) and some dude named Nick Jonas ("Stop the World").
One question: Did Mayer really send Lovato "a letter...

Demi Lovato has proven not only she has beautiful voice, but also a good sense of humor. The Disney cutie laughed off a stage fall which she experienced while performing "Until You're Mine" during a concert in Philadelphia on Saturday, June 27.
Demi was singing the second verse of the song and stepping down stairs on stage when she accidentally stumbled down. She laughed and said, "I'm sorry". She then immediately woke up and finished the song. When she reached the end of the song, the teen star playfully told the crowd, "I planned that. The whole falling thing? It was already planned."
Demi Lovato is currently on tour and set to perform at Nokia Theater at Grand Prairie on July 5. Her new album "Here We Go Again" will be released on July 21. The album has John Fields as producer and it features songs which she co-wrote with John Mayer, Jon McLaughlin and Nick Jonas.

Have a question about gay male entertainment? Ask the Monkey! (Please include your city and state and/or country.)
Q: I was always under the impression that Dom DeLuise, like other 1970s B-level comic figures such as Paul Lynde, Rip Taylor, and Charles Nelson Reilly, was a not-very-closeted gay man. I was surprised, then, that when he died last week, there was no mention of that in any article I saw. I did read that he had a long marriage to a woman and several grown children (certainly not proof of heterosexuality, but nonetheless). Was I just misinformed? -- Thomasina, Alabama
Dom DeLuise
A: You and the Flying Monkey both. I also always simply assumed DeLuise was gay, so I was as surprised as you were to read last week that he’d been married for 44 years and had three children.
That said – and I’m not necessarily saying anything about DeLuise,...

Beyonce Knowles has reportedly received a leftover single, which is originally Jon McLaughlin's song called "Smack Into You". She then includes the track on the deluxe edition of her third studio effort "I Am...Sasha Fierce", which has been outed since November 18, with a changed title "Smash Into You".
"Smack Into You" was rumored to be written for Jon McLaughlin's second studio album "Ok Now". The song has reportedly been performed throughout his summer and fall tour but it ended on the scrap pile when his album was finalized. To avoid a waste, it was then presented to Beyonce Knowles.
On his official website, Jon wrote that "Smack Into You" was written and produced by Tricky Stewart and The-Dream. "[The song] is about falling head over heels in love, a combination of The Police's 'Every Breath You Take' and U2's 'With or Without You' melding acoustic guitar and McLaughlin's...
