Philippe Wee

Born in New Jersey, Philippe Wee grew up first generation American in a
middle class household. As a child, art and music were great
influences. He studied classical piano for 9 years in Princeton, New Jersey
where he quickly excelled and frequently performed piano recitals. In
addition, he studied Clarinet and guitar. Also, in 2nd grade Philippe's
painting, called "My Hamster and Me", was selected for the Express
Yourself Contest and displayed at a museum in New York City. As a teenager he
began to enjoy playing sports such as basketball, baseball, tennis,
skiing, snowboarding, and golf (played on the high school golf team).
College at Rutgers University soon followed, where a undiscovered realm
of Science would be a explored and a BS degree in Chemistry would be
attained. Graduate classes were then taken at Stevens Institute of
Technology in Hoboken, NJ. Philippe then worked as a Scientist for a
major pharmaceutical company. However, during college an interest in
art was sparked again while taking a theatre appreciation class. So,
while working as a scientist he enrolled at the Stella Adler Studio in
New York City and began training as an actor. Finally, he decided to
quit his job and move to Los Angeles to pursue acting.
