Sebastian Korda is returning to one of his favorite tournaments on the calendar and talked about the immeasurable impact that eight-time champion Andre Agassi has had on his career.
Korda is making his third straight main draw appearance at the Citi Open this week as the eighth seed, opening up against Russia's Alexander Shevchenko on Tuesday evening. Returning to Washington always ranks higher on Korda's schedule grid.
That is not purely because it's on home soil, but it's a tournament that evokes plenty of wonderful memories from his childhood days. The Citi Open was among his pitstops as a junior traveling with his father who used to coach Radek Stepanek over a decade ago.
"Washington has to be one of my favorite stops definitely on tour, just kind of being here as a 12, 13, and 14-year-old kid with my dad and Radek Stepanek. Just to kind of experience everything was really cool.

The Wimbledon Invitational event is currently taking place as some legends of the game are battling it out on the court, and in one match fans could see ball boys take part as well.
The Wimbledon Legends event is a very chill and laid-back tennis event for former players to remind themselves of their glory days. It happens every year, and some of those matches are good watches due to players opting to entertain the crowd more as part of the competition.
Some of the ways they do that is by giving the ball boys a chance to play some tennis and that's what happened in the match between Tommy Haas and Mark Philippoussis, and Romain Grosjean and Radek Stepanek. It was early in the second set when the Australian and German opted to give their racquet to two ball boys hoping to rest up a bit after playing great tennis in the first set.
