Mickey Drexler, Jenna Lyons, and Dana Lorenz at the Fenton/Fallon for J. Crew launch party. From PatrickMcMullan.com. Last night on Prince Street, in New York City, J. Crew C.E.O. Mickey Drexler fêted the new Fenton/Fallon for J. Crew collection, a bold, rebellious line of special-edition statement jewelry. The partnership came about when Fenton/Fallon designer Dana Lorenz, who usually sells her pieces at high-end retailers such as Barneys and Henri Bendel, met J. Crew creative director Jenna Lyons at a dinner party at Chilean fashion designer Maria Cornejo's house. It wasn't long before Lyons and Lorenz paired up to mesh Fenton/Fallon's urban-warrior look with J. Crew's preppy aesthetic. If yesterday's party guest list is any indication of the collection's potential for success, this line will likely mean more money in the bank for Drexler, who saw his company's revenues increase 11 percent in 2009, to $1.578 billion:...

Dylan Lauren, Somaly Mam, Lauren Bush, Ashley Bush, and Sharon Bush at the Somaly Mam Foundation event in New York City. From PatrickMcMullan.com. Connoisseurs of the decadent burlesque shows at the Box would probably agree that the New York City nightclub's playhouse productions are good, but I doubt that the audience has ever held back tears. Such was not the case last night at the downtown venue, however, as Somaly Mam, a survivor of human trafficking, stood behind a podium onstage telling a group of Manhattan social scene-sters why she had chosen Feed co-founder and Lauren Piece clothing designer Lauren Bush as the evening's guest of honor. "Women like me feel dirty," Mam said in broken English to a crowd that included Bush's boyfriend, David Lauren; David's sister Dylan Lauren; Marc Jacobs's husband, Lorenzo Martone; and socialites Amanda Brooks, Jennifer Creel, and Lisa Salzer. "Women like Lauren are flowers...

One social Cinderella didn't go home when the clock struck midnight at last week's Dia Art Foundation fall gala, which took place at the Hispanic Society of America, in New York City. She probably didn't notice the time as she mingled with guests such as actor James Franco, fashion designer Kate Spade and husband Andy Spade, sunglasses designer Jennifer Creel, fashion editor Stefano Tonchi, and Vanity Fair contributing photographer Timothy Greenfield-Sanders. Can you guess whose jewelry box this watch came from?...

Gwyneth Paltrow, Zac Posen, Valentino Garavani, Alek Wek. From PatrickMcMullan.com. To celebrate the DVD release of Valentino: The Last Emperor, it was only fitting that the party should take place in perhaps the most opulent store on Madison Avenue, in New York City. Last night, many of the city’s social set descended upon Rome-based luxury house Vbh to pay tribute to the designer. “He’s a living legend,” said Erin Fetherston, who with Zac Posen and Christian Cota represented the young guard who made an appearance. “And of all the fashion documentaries, this is the most touching, because it’s such a human story. If you weren’t already in awe of him, watching this will push you over the edge.” Actresses Michelle Tractenberg and Molly Sims chatted with friends as socialites Jennifer Creel, Zani Gugelmann, Lauren Remington-Platt, Olivia Palermo, model Alek Wek, and downtown “It girl” Harley...

Has the recession fueled a frenzy of party-going driven by a desire for loot? It looked that way last night at the Bellissima by Blumarine fragrance launch at New York's Gramercy Park Hotel, where guests, who included Olivia Palermo, Subversive's Justin Giunta, stylist Susan Joy, and Jennifer Creel, arrived clutching swag from earlier events while other party-hoppers were getting ready to move onto the next shindig with perfume in tow. Two journalists who had already attended the Brooks Brothers launch of the Mad Men–label suit discussed their gifts: "I never go shopping now unless I have a gift card!" said one, while the other replied, "I was so happy when I found one from about six months ago in one of my pant pockets and it hadn't expired." The next stop was the debut of the Cole, Rood, and Haan line in a downtown loft complete with specialty cocktails...
