- Travis W. Wood was born in Fort Worth, Texas May 9, 1972. He attended elementary, middle, and high school in the small country town of Aledo, Texas. Speculated as a musical prodigy in his youth, he received a scholarship at Texas Wesleyan University for music composition. Not ready for the pressure of scholared performance, Travis decided to halt his college career and dive into the realm of independent music. He performed with several (rock, alternative, new age, pop) bands for many years(as a keyboard, piano composer and performer). Even though his bands had a few local hits, he never achieved a wide audience. Growing tired of the harsh music industry, Travis decided to continue his college education at TCU (Texas Christian University) in Fort Worth, Texas in 2007. Knowing that his self composed music would be more suitable for film, Travis decided to major in Film/Television/Digital Media with a minor in Theatre. He received his Bachelor's degree in May 2009 and continued to get his Masters in December 2010. Since then, he has created Wood Filmmakers Association. Insipred by the TCU Filmmakers Association (an independent student film organization) Travis decided to continue the individuality qualities of filmmaking by relying on the chosen crew and cast to create something unique. Several intriguing short films and documentaries have developed from this approach. Occasionally, Travis composes music for Wood Filmmakers films to combine his talents.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Jim Wood
