Fremantle and Kansai TV have launched new entertainment format “Quiz Pong” following a co-development deal initially revealed at MIPCOM 2022. The format was launched in Japan last month by Kansai TV and Fremantle will handle the production and global distribution.
“Quiz Pong” is a fast-paced gameshow where teams compete against each other in a fun tournament testing their mental, physical, and strategy skills. The teams go head-to-head by throwing balls into moving baskets, on a supersized set and answering general knowledge questions to score points. The harder the basket is to reach the more difficult the question inside the basket will be for their opponent. After battling through two rounds, the winning teams compete in the grand finale for a prize.
Miho Okada, executive managing director at Kansai TV, said: “Thanks to the innovative idea from our producers and creative support from Fremantle, ‘Quiz Pong’ developed into a fun, exciting,...

Voice actor Nils Hognestad his listed Devil May Cry 5 on his resume, launching a tidal wave of speculation and rumor as to what Capcom has in store for fans of the beloved series. Hodnestad is listed as the lead role, meaning that he will be replacing Tim Phillipps as the voice of Dante.
Ninja Theory, the developer behind 2013’s reboot DmC: Devil May Cry, stated that they were not involved in the making of a sequel years ago. With no word from Capcom, some were worried about the potential future of the series, but Hognestad’s resume seems to indicate not only that the IP still lives, but that Capcom intends on a return to form for DmC. The listed title of Devil May Cry 5 rather than DmC 2 would also seem to imply that it will be a sequel to the original series instead of the reboot.

Lemon Tree Passage is an Australian Horror-Thriller that is set around the local ghost story that goes like this: A tormented biker that was struck and killed in a hit and run now apparently haunts the backroads of a small Australian town.
Three American Backpackers, Maya (Jessica Tovey), Amelia (Pippa Black) and Sam (Nicholas Gunn), meet a couple of Aussie larrikins, Geordie (Tim Phillips) and Oscar (Andrew Ryan), that recite the spooky urban legend to the trio and off they all go to test the theory. Unsurprisingly, horror ensues.
Lemon Tree Passage starts off strong. There’s a few good scares, the cast are all particularly strong and the atmosphere is quite effective, due to some superb cinematography.
The problem comes later as the story progresses. The plot developments come off feeling more than a little silly and contrived, dispensing of the great atmosphere...

The Secret Circle seems to have embraced an everything-but-the-kitchen-sink philosophy to storytelling. Over the show’s 21 episodes, there have been several demon possessions, at least two resurrections (one of which was thanks to a demon possession!), one super-hot hex sex scene, a memory erasure, and a reveal that two of the show’s main characters are half-sisters… and now there’s a crystal skull? As Steven Spielberg and Geoge Lucas learned a while back, no good can come from a crystal skull.

Just when we thought we couldn't get any more excited about the return of "The Vampire Diaries" and, yes, even "The Secret Circle" this coming Thursday night, March 15th, we have a new promo teaser for the pair along with clips from each show.
"The Vampire Diaries" Episode 3.16 "1912" (3/15/12 Air Date; 8:00-9:00 Pm):
The Murder Mystery Deepens — The present-day murders in Mystic Falls remind Damon (Ian Somerhalder) of a similar crime spree a century earlier. In flashbacks to 1912, Damon recalls a beautiful vampire, Sage (guest star Cassidy Freeman), who showed him a whole new way to exist.
Sheriff Forbes (Marguerite MacIntyre) warns Damon not to get involved in her investigation, but Damon is convinced she’s going after the wrong suspect. Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Matt (Zach Roerig) resort to breaking and entering in their search for evidence to prove Dr. Fell (guest star Torrey Devitto) is a murderer.

The Secret Circle Preview: John Blackwell's Back and He's Stirring Up Trouble
The Secret Circle returns from a short hiatus this week with a new episode called "Lucky". That seems to be a bit of a misnomer though, since most of the residents of Chance Harbor aren't very lucky to have John Blackwell back in town. In the last episode, Blackwell returned and confronted his daughter, telling her that he had been drawn by the power of the medallion. He was desperate to have her keep his return to town a secret, but she immediately told Adam. After escaping a group of witch hunters, Blackwell seems determined to get to know Cassie.

It really is over between Diana and Adam on The Secret Circle.
Yes, these two still reminisce about their relationship, and, granted, they're still trying to navigate the friendship path - but Adam is clearly into Cassie and, as Shelley Henning tells TV Guide, Diana will soon find a new love interest of her own.
Asked about Grant, the character set to soon sail into Chance Harbor (played by Tim Phillipps), Henning acknowledged a burgeoning romance there and said:
He's "really handsome, really sweet and hopefully he's going to sweep Diana off her feet, if not long term, at least to help Diana get through this heartbreak with Adam. But who knows, maybe this guy's exactly what Diana needs."
Henning added that no one in the cast knows who the identity of the other Balcoin offspring, but she hopes it's Diana because that would explain her connection to Cassie.

Our No. 1 requirement for potential suitors: He must own a yacht.
Mark us down as intrigued for "The Secret Circle's" latest piece of eye-candy. E! Online reports that Tim Phillipps, an Australian actor, has been cast as Grant, a preppy, worldly newcomer to Chance Harbor who sails in on a yacht.
As per usual, though, he's got a few secrets up his sleeve. (We look forward to the day when we get a casting tip that says "The character arrives, makes a good impression, and turns out to be exactly who he appears to be!") Grant will first appear in episode 16, and there's definite potential for a return engagement.
Phillipps most recently appeared on ABC's "Once Upon a Time" as Sean Herman, the modern-world incarnation of Cinderella's boy toy Prince Thomas.
The important question is: once he arrives in Chance Harbor, will he speak in his Aussie accent? Will it be acknowledged?...

This week on Once Upon a Time Cinderella (Jessy Schram) gets her night at the ball with some unexpected consequences. Meanwhile her ‘real world’ counterpart Ashley is on the run from Mr. Gold (Robert Carlyle), trying to save herself and her unborn child. Sadly the plot gets lost in a garbled message about choices, that they invariably lead to unwanted consequences and that we must learn to be cautious in our choice making, particularly when they involve high risks. Unfortunately none of the characters seem to learn anything from their choices and they continue to make the same bad decisions, simply shifting the responsibility onto other third parties.
The episode opens with Cinderella left behind while her stepmother and sisters go off to the ball. Her fairy godmother promptly arrives only to be blasted into fairy dust by who else? Rumplestiltskin. He offers a deal to...
