The Film Society of Lincoln Center has announced the 56th New York Film Festival Projections line-up which runs from October 4 through October 7.The program will screen seven feature films: Gabriel Abrantes and Daniel Schmidt's Diamantino; Albert Serra's Roi Soleil; Jodie Mack's The Grand Bizarre; James Benning's 11 x 14; Ted Fendt's Classical Period; Tsai Ming-liang's Your Face, and Dora García's Second Time Around (Segunda Vez).
There will also be five programs of shorts, an Ericka Beckman Program and a Quantification Trilogy by Jeremy Shaw.
Projections is curated by Dennis Lim (Fslc Director of Programming) and Aily Nash (independent curator). Shelby Shaw and Dan Sullivan are Program Assistants.

The 6th annual Migrating Forms will be returning to the BAMcinématek in Brooklyn, New York on December 10-18 for a full week of new and classic experimental media.
The fun kicks off with the lyrical portrait of North Korea, Songs From the North, for which filmmaker Soon-Mi Yoo compiled footage from popular films, state-organized demonstrations and home video from her own visits to the country.
Highlights of the fest include a three-film retrospective of documentarian William Greaves, Still a Brother, The Fight and Symbiopsychotaxiplasm: Take One; a new consumerist exploration by Cory Arcangel, Freshbuzz (www.subway.com); the oblique narrative Don’t Go Back to Sleep by Stanya Kahn; and the Hong Kong experimental post-apocalyptic The Midnight After by Fruit Chan.

Up in Toronto, The Cronenberg Project has been running strong since November, a visually rich multi-platform celebration of the work of the legendary David Cronenberg. The event comes to a close on January 19th of next year, and if you're bummed that you aren't going to be able to experience it, then have no fear because we've got ya covered!

Festival organisers announced the Discovery, Mavericks and Masters sections, details of the David Cronenberg: Transformation exhibition, a tenth Midnight Madness entry and introduced the Glenn Gould Studio to the festival’s stable of venues.
The programming strands feature new work from Catherine Breillat and on-stage conversations with Spike Jones, Irrfan Khan, Harvey Weinstein and Ron Howard.
The final entry in Midnight Madness will be the world premiere of Alex de la Iglesia’s Witching & Bitching (Las brujas De Zugarramurdi) (Spain-France).
The Glenn Gould Studio will serve as a venue for various public and industry programming during the festival and will function as a main location for the Tiff Industry Conference, set to run from Sept 6-12.
