The Supernatural journey finally continues!
The series premiere of The Winchesters is here, and it was nothing short of the supernatural.
On The Winchesters Season 1 Episode 1, John Winchester and Mary Campbell meet for the first time, and their lives are changed forever.
As a Supernatural fan, I can say with my whole heart that The Winchesters is such a great series.
Like a lot of fans, I was weary with how they would tell John and Mary's story since what was shown on Supernatural is different from the prequel series.
But this story, as different as it is, is so fresh and new and still keeps you glued to the screen.
Drake Rodger and Meg Donnelly portray John and Mary, taking up the mantles from Matthew Cohen and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Amy Gumenick and Samantha Smith.
Now, I know this story might sound familiar, but I'm gonna put the...

While Supernatural is over, the show's mythology will continue in the form of the prequel series, The Winchesters.
The upcoming spin-off on The CW will focus on two very familiar characters, John and Mary Winchester, and take fans on a journey of their origin story and adventurous love life.
With a new cast and a storyline different from what Supernatural fans know, let's take a quick look at everything there is to know about the upcoming The Winchesters prequel series before its premiere!
The Storyline
As noted above, The Winchesters will follow the origin story of Sam and Dean's parents, John and Mary.
However, this will differ from what fans know from the original series.
In The Winchesters, John knows about Mary's hunting life, and the two hunt together. In Supernatural, John didn't know about hunting until after Mary's death.

The CW is taking Supernatural viewers to the past.
The network on Monday confirmed it had cast John and Mary Winchester for its prequel pilot The Winchesters.
Drake Roger (The In Between) is set to play John Winchester, according to Deadline.
“Recently returned from Vietnam, the selfless and clearheaded John Winchester finds a new mission back home, where traces of his father’s past lead him to a secret organization and a whole new war as a hunter,” reads the official description for the character.
Meg Donnelly (American Housewife) has landed the role of 19-year-old Mary.
“Mary Campbell has been fighting the forces of darkness since she was a child. After losing someone close to her, the hardened hunter considers quitting the family business — until her father’s disappearance and the arrival of newcomer John Winchester forces her to lead a new team," the description reads.

It’s official: The Supernatural prequel series The Winchesters has found its John and Mary.
The CW announced Monday that Drake Rodger (The In Between) has been cast as John Winchester, the man who would eventually father Sam and Dean. Although a widowed hunter in the Og show, the upcoming series will feature a much younger version of the character. “Recently returned from Vietnam, the selfless and clearheaded John Winchester finds a new mission back home, where traces of his father’s past lead him to a secret organization and a whole new war as a hunter,” says the official description.

With Arrow‘s resurrection of a “suicidal” squad of baddies, original cast member David Ramsey found himself behind the camera for the very first time.
In “Past Sins” (airing Monday at 8/7c, The CW), Curtis like Lyla is upset to discover that Diggle has restarted The Ghost Initiative, comprised of Ricardo Diaz, China White (Kelly Hu), Kane Wolfman aka Joe Wilson (Liam Hall) and Cupid/Carrie Cutter (Amy Gumenick). Elsewhere, the past comes back to haunt both Oliver and Laurel, in distinct ways.
Ramsey shared with TVLine a preview of his directorial debut and the storyline twists that come with it.

The midseason finale of Arrow season 7 dropped a major bombshell that’ll change the Queen family forever, as it revealed that the new Green Arrow who’d taken over from Oliver during his incarceration was actually Emiko Queen, the long-lost half-sister he never knew he had.
The recent midseason premiere then fleshed out Emiko’s character somewhat, with the original Emerald Archer discovering about her existence for the first time. But how did things move on from here? Well, the promo for next week’s episode, “Past Sins,” teases that Oliver will try and extend an olive branch to Emiko, apologizing for how their father treated her. However, Emiko has grown up hating the Queens, so it doesn’t look like it’s going to be that easy to bury the hatchet, especially while she’s busy burying arrows in bad guys.

Oliver Queen’s got a brand new bag when The CW’s Arrow resumes Season 7 tonight at 8/7c.
As revealed at the close of the (terrific) midseason finale, Star City’s infamous vigilante is now working unmasked as a consultant for the Scpd. That will stir conflicts, showrunner Beth Schwartz says in the Q&A below, as well as set Oliver’s wife Felicity on a mission.
Schwartz also fielded our burning questions about the (misleading?) flash-forwards, Robert Queen’s “return,” haunted Laurel and more.

Several familiar foes from the Emerald Archer’s past are returning for an upcoming episode of Arrow season 7. The show will be back from its midseason break this Monday, which will be episode 7×10, and then the week after we have 7×11 – titled “Past Sins” – to look forward to. And the best part is is that it’ll feature a number of faces that fans should recognize.
Namely, we’ll see the return of Ricardo Diaz, the crime boss only recently defeated in the last half of the season, Kane Wolfman Aka Joe Wilson, Deathstroke’s son, deadly assassin China White and lovesick archer Cupid. The reason for their comeback is because A.R.G.U.S. has enlisted them for its rebooted version of the Suicide Squad, now renamed The Ghost Initiative (no doubt the more familiar name is off-limits due to Warner Bros. working on a Suicide Squad sequel).

With Arrow‘s midseason premiere set to debut one week from tonight, it’s probably safe to say that most of us are looking forward to learning more about Oliver Queen’s estranged sister. After all, it wasn’t revealed until the appropriately titled “Unmasked” that she’s been the new Emerald Archer prowling Star City for the past few months. In fact, recent promo materials have promised we’ll be seeing much more of her in the very near future.
All that awesomeness aside, I, for one, am also excited to see Ollie going toe to toe with supervillains now that he’s out of prison. Most fortunate for those who share that sentiment, episode 7×11, “Past Sins,” will deliver the goods – and with a vengeance, it seems.
To be more specific, three familiar villains will return to the series in this installment, as detailed by the official synopsis below:...

Did Thea do what needed to be done?
That was a key question after Arrow Season 5 Episode 14 in which she went all-out in her mission to take down Susan.
TV Fanatics, Jim Garner, Kathleen Wiedel, Steve Ford and Robin Harry discuss the many returns, Thea's decision, and Oliver revealing the truth.
What did you think of the ladies returning to wreak havoc?
Jim: Kelly Hu's wig was horrible. Other than that best I can say is "meh." Seemed like a convenient "bad guy of the week" didn't really add anything to the overall story.
Kathleen: It came across as a "designated girls team-up" story. Cupid always struck me as a rather silly character; then there were over-wrought rogue cop Liza Warner and stone-hearted Triad hit-woman China White. The idea that these three would stick together longer than it took to effect a jailbreak was... unlikely.
Steve: I agree with Jim,...
