John Krasinski and Natalie Portman have been tapped to join the cast of Guy Ritchie’s ‘Fountain of Youth.’
The feature will follow two estranged siblings (Krasinski and Portman) who partner on a global heist to find the mythological Fountain of Youth. They must use their knowledge of history to follow clues on an epic adventure that will change their lives — and possibly lead to immortality.
James Vanderbilt has penned the story which Ritchie will direct. It will be produced by Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger. Tripp Vinson will produce through his Vinson Films as will Project X Entertainment, with Vanderbilt, William Sherak, and Paul Neinstein producing for the company. Ritchie & Ivan Atkinson and Jake Myers also are producing with Radio Silence serving as executive producers.

Olivia Rodrigo hasn’t completely abandoned her acting career for music.
The “Vampire” singer tells me she’d love to star in a film. “I love movies, I love telling stories,” Rodrigo said at the Academy’s Governors Awards on Tuesday night in Hollywood. “I really want to do a coming-of-age thing maybe before I’m actually of age. Maybe I am of age already.”
Rodrigo turns 21 on Feb. 20.
“I just love telling stories, whether that be in a song or movie, that’s really something that really excites me,” she said.
Rodrigo’s acting credits includes TV’s “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series,” “Bizaardvark” and an episode of “New Girl.”
She attended the Governors Awards in support of “Can’t Catch Me Now,” her single from “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes” soundtrack. The song has been shortlisted for the Oscars.

Todd Haynes' "May December" is a tricky, difficult drama that tells a fictionalized version of the Mary Kay LeTourneau story. Some may recall that LeTourneau, a sixth-grade teacher, was arrested in 1997 for having targeted and statutorily assaulted 12-year-old Vili Fualaau. LeTourneau had two children with Lualaau, and when she was released from prison, the two married. They remained married for 14 years. In "May December," the LeTourneau-inspired character was renamed Gracie Atherton-Yoo (Julianna Moore), and her much younger husband, 34 at the time of the movie, was renamed Joe Yoo (Charles Melton).
Haynes' film follows a famous actor named Elizabeth Barry (Natalie Portman), who has taken a job playing Gracie in an upcoming drama. Elizabeth spends several weeks observing Gracie, imitating her mannerisms, and interviewing the people in her life. Why, Elizabeth wonders, did Gracie commit her terrible crime? How does Joe feel about it so many years later, still married to his victimizer?...

Thanks to The Banshees of Inisherin, Eo and, to a lesser extent, The Triangle of Sadness, it’s fair to say that when it comes cinematic animals, the past 12 months has really been all about the ass (to the extent that a lookalike of Banshees‘ breakout donkey Jenny even made it on stage at the Oscars).
This year’s Cannes looks set to return the limelight to more established four-legged stars, with dogs having bounded back to the big screen with tail-wagging gusto. And this will likely make life difficult for those sniffing out contenders for the Palm Dog, Cannes’ unofficial awards show celebrating canine performances across the festival’s official selection and various sidebars.
“This Cannes is absolutely chock-a-block with bowzers,” said Toby Rose, Palm Dog founder. “We feel like we like we have an embarrassment of choice — l’embarras du choix — as the French would say.”
And Rose isn’t wrong.

Richard Donner’s career spanned not just eras but genres. And he had a classic in every one of them.
It’s hard to think of another director who was so versatile and so successful at the box office across genres. He helmed a massive buddy action franchise, directed a chilling horror classic, launched the superhero genre onscreen with the first — and greatest — Superman film, pulled off heartfelt comedy with giants like Richard Pryor and Jackie Gleason, created an absolute classic kids’ film and threw in a great Christmas movie to boot.
He worked with A-list talents as diverse as Steven Spielberg, Marlon Brando, Mel Gibson, Sylvester Stallone, Julianna Moore, Danny Glover, Bill Murray, Charles Bronson, Sammy Davis Jr., Mary Tyler Moore, Gregory Peck, Gene Hackman and Lee Remick and, judging from the outpouring of tributes, was beloved by a great many of them.
