iZombie has been on fire so far in its second season, delivering two of its very best episodes over the past couple weeks, even as many characters’ storylines still seem separate from each other at this time. However, these new photos from the fifth episode of iZombie Season 2, titled “Love & Basketball,” show that the series’ different plots will begin to converge very soon, especially when Blaine visits Ravi at the morgue. Yes, in two of these all-new pictures, iZombie‘s main antagonist, who is looking to become the new drug lord of Seattle with the amount of Utopium he’s been pushing, arrives at Ravi and Liv’s place of work. And even though it’s not yet known why exactly Blaine is at the morgue, it’s a safe bet to guess that his intentions probably aren’t good. Grave Encounters 2
Directed by John Poliquin
Written by The Vicious Brothers
Canada/USA, 2012
Remember when The Blair Witch Project caused a bit of a kerfuffle back in 1999? Thanks to a potent concoction of viral and apocryphal marketing, the film caused a bit of a furor amongst the movie-going public, with heated debates over the story’s strongly implied authenticity. Now, imagine if those fifteen minutes were stretched to a hundred, and into a film that tries to prove the veracity of itself and the contended sequence of events it’s documenting, while simultaneously looking like a clichéd found footage horror movie, and you have Grave Encounters 2, the sequel to the marginally effective 2011 predecessor.

Title: Grave Encounters 2 Director: John Poliquin Starring: Richard Harmon, Dylan Playfair, Stephanie Bennett, Leanne Lapp, Howard Lai, Sean Rogerson, Ben Wilkinson Using Colin Minihan and Stuart Ortiz’s found-footage horror flick “Grave Encounters” as a self-referential leaping-off point, “Grave Encounters 2″ gathers up a head of loose-limbed steam and bundles it up in a rather impressive technical package, but ultimately fumbles it away on a story that buckles under the weight of layered self-consciousness. Film student Alex Wright (Richard Harmon) is one of many folks obsessed with the original “Grave Encounters,” whose YouTube trailer was a viral sensation. Opinions on the movie are wildly divergent, but some people believe it to have [ Read More ]
