“Do you trust me?” That’s a question Tessanne Chin found herself frequently answering (in the affirmative) in conversations with coach Adam Levine during her winning run on Season 5 of The Voice.
Indeed, in her freewheeling TVLine interview, the Jamaican powerhouse reveals she was initially reluctant about her mentor’s choices on everything from her Battle Round cover of “Next to Me” to future iTunes smashes like “Bridge Over Troubled Water” and “I Have Nothing.”

It's Adam Levine's world, we just live in it. At the very least, The Voice coach and sexiest man alive is having an outstanding year, especially now that he can add "two-time winner" to his extensive résumé.
Yes, after three seasons of The Voice bordering on becoming The Blake Shelton Show, Team Adam came out on top once again – the first time since Season One – as Tessanne Chin took the Season Five crown.

The Voice’s season finale aired last night with Will Champlin and Tessanne Chin from Team Adam Levine and Jacquie Lee from Team Christina Aguilera competing for the winning title. Lady Gaga, Aloe Blacc, Celine Dion, Ne-Yo, Paramore and OneRepublic joined the contestants to perform in a star-studded finale.
The Voice Recap: Group Performances
Chin, Lee and Champlin opened the star-studded night with the rest of the Top 20 performing Outasight’s “Tonight Is The Night.” It was great seeing the rest of the contestants back, and the performance was a lot of fun.
For her Bring-Back Performance Lee brought Matthew Schuler, Caroline Pennell, James Wolpert and Cole Vosbury back to sing an entertaining — but shortened — rendition of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.” The performance had the coaches rocking out in their seats.
Josh Logan, Schuler, Nic Hawk, Preston Pohl and Ray Boudreaux, some of the eliminated male contestants, came together and performed “Treasure” by Bruno Mars.

Another installment of The Voice has come to its feel-good conclusion — and all that’s left are the inevitable debates about whether Season 5′s champ will finally be the one to achieve breakout, Clarkson- or Underwood-level success and if Mark Burnett will come to his senses and go all Michonne on those blasted SwayBots between now and next spring. Yoink. That's the sound of Jacquie Lee stealing the crown on this season of The Voice. That's one possible scenario, at least.

It was the end of the road for James Wolpert on Tuesday's (Dec. 10) episode of "The Voice," as he was one of two artists (along with Cole Vosbury) sent before before the show headed into its final week of competition for Season 5.
The Team Adam Levine rocker, who learned of his elimination early in the episode, was in remarkably good spirits backstage, however, expressing nothing but gratitude as he spoke with Zap2it. What follows is our conversation with Wolpert, where he reflects on journey on the show and let's us in on what he's most looking forward to now that his time has come to an end.
Zap2it: With your elimination coming early in the hour, you've had a bit of time to process the news. What was it like to have that whole hour to let it soak in?

Then Carson let everyone know that Tessanne Chin was safe this week, which also meant that she got to advance to the finals! Next, they brought back season 3 winner,Cassadee Pope, to perform, "I Wish I Could Break Your Heart." And she looked as cute as ever. And then there were three.

Welcome to the semifinals of The Voice, Oh, Mourners of the Sprint Skybox! Tonight’s performances were pretty good, considering that no one on this show will ever be famous. It’s now become a tight race, like the Ascot! Will, James, Jacqui, Cole, Tessanne, “Best Day of My Life”Let’s be real with each other, this group number was kind of a shit show. Cole’s microphone was off. All of the men were horribly flat and then sometimes, without warning, irredeemably sharp. The girls really have far better pitch than the boys. One of them should win. If a man wins, I am leaving town.James Wolpert, “With or Without You”I know that some people do’t like Bono because of his tiny glasses and the fact that he is Bono — but I like him. I even like his rambling New York Times editorials about Frank Sinatra and the Irish economy.

We're one week away from the season finale of The Voice and there's still no clear winner. They seem to want us to think it's Tessanne Chin, but it could just as easily be Will Champlin. Either way, it's going to be a good year for coach Adam Levine, as two of his three teammates will almost certainly be among the top three in the finals.

Tessanne Chin's coach, Adam Levine, alluded to a personal and private burden she'd been carrying this week, but she channeled those raw emotions into her performance on The Voice on Monday, with a searing version of Simon and Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Water" that had the audience on its feet cheering.
Pouring out her heart, the Jamaican power vocalist ended her song with a sustained note that showcased her strength and likely cemented her place in the show's final as the last five contestants battled in the live semifinals round.
"That was crazy what just happened," Levine said.

For her live semi-finals performance on Monday's (Dec. 9) episode of "The Voice," Team Adam's Tessanne Chin took on Simon & Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Water." As viewers learned, some recent upsetting news added an extra level of connection to the material, bringing her to tears during rehearsals.
Backstage after her performance, Chin chose to keep her private matter private, but she did tell Zap2it that her moment on stage offered a catharsis of sorts. "I'm feeling good," she says. "I feel like I left it there and that was very therapeutic for me. Very, very therapeutic."

It’s really getting down to the wire on ‘The Voice!’ On Dec. 9, the top five performers took the stage and naturally — not one fell flat!
It looks like Adam Levine‘s Team may take this season. Last week, Entertainment Weekly hung out in the recording studio with The Voice top five contestants and got a sneak peek as to what Will Champlin, Tessanne Chin, Jacquie Lee, Cole Vosbury, and James Wolpert will be performing on the show tonight. Unfortunately, we can’t spill the beans as to what each contestant will be singing tonight — song choices must be kept under wraps until the live performances — but we did get a chance to speak with contestants about the thought process behind their songs this week.

It's a nondescript building in the middle of Burbank, but this is where the magic happens. This is the location where the contestants from "The Voice" spend a lion's share of their time, laying down the iTunes versions of the songs they sing week after week live on TV.
NBC invited Zap2it to spend the day in the studio with Season 5's Top 5 on Friday (Dec. 6) as they recorded the songs they'd be singing during Monday's live semi-finals, where we were surprised to learn that this experience wasn't everybody's first time in the booth.
"I grew up recording," Team Adam's Will Champlin reveals. "I produce a lot myself. I know all the mics, I'm very familiar. ... Everything I write, I lay down. Record, edit and produce, you know? Everything's a work in progress. This is more of a quick process because you're dealing with having to get it out soon,...

Disagreement is the dominant theme on this week’s installment of Reality Check.
As my cohost Melinda Doolittle and I dish The Voice‘s Season 5 semifinalists — Jacquie Lee, Tessanne Chin, Cole Vosbury, James Wolpert and Will Champlin — bones of contention arise over the Mvp of Top 6 week, the outcome of the season’s final “Instant Save” and even George Clooney’s performance in Batman & Robin.

Things are a little more harmonious in our discussion of The X Factor, where Alex & Sierra continue to dominate, and Paulina Rubio continues to completely confound.

With Season 5 of The Voice reaching the semifinal round this Monday (8/7c on NBC), the competition seems more evenly matched than in any prior incarnation.
And that means that over the next fortnight, song selection will be crazy critical for Jacquie Lee, Tessanne Chin, James Wolpert, Cole Vosbury and Will Champlin.

Matthew Schuler narrowly lost his spot on "The Voice" to James Wolpert on Tuesday night (a mere one percent of votes separated the two!), but the 20-year-old singer says he doesn't harbor any hard feelings toward his fellow competitor.
"If I was gonna lose to anyone I'm glad it was James Wolpert. Like, I love that guy," Matthew told AccessHollywood.com's Laura Saltman following Tuesday's show. "I seriously think we have become a family. You know, the six of us, the entire 48 of us who've been on this show, who've been able to make it past the blind ...

Last night’s The Voice was a tough elimination. A really tough elimination. In a shocking turn of events, former front-runner Matthew Schuler was sent home by America. Schuler found himself in the bottom two alongside James Wolpert and at the mercy of the only remaining Twitter save of the season. Despite shaky performances from Wolpert this week, America heard coach Adam Levine’s plea and saved him. This leaves five competitors total from teams Levine, Christina Aguilera, and Blake Shelton. Tessanne Chin, Wolpert, Will Champlin, Cole Vosbury, and Jacquie Lee.
theTVaddict.com hit the red carpet after the live elimination to catch up with coaches Adam Levine and CeeLo Green and host Carson Daly. Check out our video interviews after the jump (and tune in tomorrow for our interview with Schuler).

The Top 6 contestants on The Voice performed two songs each last night – one chosen by their coaches and one chosen by themselves. Powerhouse Jacquie Lee of Team Christina Aguilera stole the show with her emotional performances.
The Voice Recap: Cole Vosbury Performances
Cole Vosbury, the last remaining contestant on Blake Shelton’s team, performed Hall & Oates’ “Rich Girl,” as chosen by his coach. Cee Lo Green, Vosbury’s former coach, told the singer he was still rooting for him, while Adam Levine praised his arrangement. Vosbury chose to sing James Morrison’s “A Better Man” and dedicated it to his first love. The emotional performance balanced out his fun performance from earlier.
Tessanne Chin Performances
Tessanne Chin, one of three contestants on Levine’s team, started with Bob Marley’s “Redemption Song.” While Chin was nervous because Marley is an important figure in her country, she slayed the song, as usual.
