Lakeshore Records will be releasing a soundtrack album for the indie drama Sympathy for Delicious. The album includes the film’s score by the Canadian indie rock band The Besnard Lakes, as well as several songs by the fictional band in the movie Burnt the Diphthongs feat. Cedric Bixler, Orlando Bloom, DJ Disk, Juliette Lewis, Omar Rodriguez-Lopez and Deantoni Parks. Other artists featured on the album are Do Make Say Think, The Kills and The Bee Gees. The album will be released on June 7, 2011 and is now available to pre-order on Amazon. Sympathy for Delicious is actor Mark Ruffalo’s directing debut and stars himself, Christopher Thornton, Juliette Lewis, Orlando Bloom, Laura Linney and Noah Emmerich. The film centers on a paralyzed DJ struggling to survive in his wheelchair on the streets of L.A. The movie opened earlier this month in select cities and is now available on VOD.
