- Was featured in the Detroit Windsor Film Festival (DWIFF) 48-HR Challenge as the guard in Presumption (2010). Due to time restrictions, scene was deleted.
- Never wanted to be an actor, but with the boom in filming in Michigan has been in front of the camera more than behind it. Loves doing location scouting and would like to be a script supervisor or props manager.
- Has four original drawings from Denny Dillon.
- In the past has interviewed Kelli Maroney, Valerie Landsburg, Duane Boutte, Denny Dillon, Chris Mulkey, Randy Mulkey (actor), Tracy Reiner, Jonathan Abel, Stuart Charno and many others for his backwash column.

- Has lent his house out for student films (BloodShed Hearts, Stands and the music video Pondering). The latter was a challenge since both were filmed within days of each other and trying to disguise the house was very difficult.

- Worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan from 1985 to 2009 as a Customer Service Representative (1986-1997) then as a Group Review Analyst until 1999 until he became an Apprentice Trainer/Quality Analyst until 2009.
- Was a W.A.A.C. member in high school 1980-1981 (the class exchange was with Drury High School in North Adams, MA).
- On a whim, submitted a travel story to The Chicago Tribune. One per cent of submissions are published and the story was published in the March 25, 2001 edition (a day after his birthday).
- Wrote for The Dearborn Press and Guide from March 1996 to 2004 as a Neighborhood Columnist.
- At 14 was a Student Reporter for The Wyandotte News Herald (and the youngest reporter for the paper).
- Had a severe case of Bell's Palsy in 2003. While not noticeable, the right side of his face still droops with the change of seasons.
