Paul B. Gennaro is an American entertainment producer, editor and
writer; he is a native of New Orleans. A former model, Mr. Gennaro
attended the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute, he also work as an
assistant under Tobie Haggerty at Vincent Cirricione, a notable member
of the management team, which represented Mario Van Peebles and Melvin
Van Peebles as well as Halle Berry. Later Paul formed an independent
venture called Paul Gennaro Productions, specializing in the
development of scripts and documentaries for broadcast and digital
distribution. Paul purchased the biographical rights to Willie
Pastrano's life (light heavyweight champion of the world from
1963-1965) and turned it into the screenplay Delta Dancers, which was
honored at the Slam Dance Film Festival. Mr. Gennaro also wrote The War
of 1812 and co-wrote Flying Home. Paul also supervised the
pre-production to post-production of the International Law Lecture
series for the United Nations' office of legal affairs. Paul also
produced and edited the post-Katrina documentary Washed Away: Four
Years Later. The documentary features singer musician Charmaine Neville
and is produced and directed by Paul B. Gennaro of Paul Gennaro
Productions. Prior to signing a distribution deal with 10 Francs
Distribution, Cedric L. Beasley of Beasley Entertainment Group came on
board as co-executive producer, story consultant and marketing
specialist. Later the two friends and former classmates at The New
School University, co-founded Autonomous Entertainment, a New
York-based boutique marketing & distribution consultancy firm
specializing in independent media.
