To think about a romantic serial killer thriller is to conjure thoughts of Natural Born Killers and its duo of equally despicable characters. It’s easy to believe two psychopaths can fall in love because they share a predilection for violence no one else would. But just because they accept each other’s monstrous desires, any potential offspring wouldn’t automatically follow suit. This son or daughter would possess the agency to fear his/her parents and pray for escape. The parents would obviously work their twisted psychological claws into his/her skin, destroying his/her sanity if they cannot erase the pesky soul preventing full acquiescence. What’s left is a broken figure desperate for connection and warped into thinking Mommy and Daddy are its sole purveyors. He/she becomes a slave to their whims.

What’s more fun than playing Pong with a blind man? Watching Dragonwolf, one the most bizarre, surreal, and silliest martial arts films I’ve seen. The latest Blu-ray release from Well-Go USA, takes place in a fictional Thailand city dubbed ‘The Devil’s Cauldron’ and focuses on two hit men who are led astray by the beauty of a mysterious, but shag-happy, young woman. The two young men possess the intellect and ferocity to flourish, carve a name for themselves as the most efficient and unstoppable hit men. Side by side, these two brothers are the deadliest killers, feared by even the most evil criminals. But when a woman of rare beauty mysteriously enters the brother’s lives she blinds them with her sweet promises and turns them against each other, resulting in an epic battle that threatens to bring the Devil’s Cauldron to the brink of destruction.

Sometimes I love my “job,” especially when I get to tell all you folks reading Nerdly about those hidden gems sitting on the shelves of your local supermarket and DVD stores (although are there any of those left these days?). Kill ‘Em All is one such gem.
Essentially Saw meets Mortal Kombat, Kill ‘Em All sees a group of deadly international assassins captured and locked up inside a high-tech bunker known as the Killing Chamber – and the only way to break out of this concrete hell is to duel each other. If they survive this, they will have to confront Snakehead: the lethal, deranged top dog who will stop at nothing to kill them all.

Director: Raimund Huber. Review: Chris Sawin. Gordon Liu has starred in the likes of "The 36th Chamber of Shaolin," the "Kill Bill" films, "True Legend," and most recently "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate." He plays the villainous and maniacal Snakehead in "Kill 'em All," but even his appearance in the film feels saturated. "Kill 'em All" begins with little to no dialogue and introduces each character with a fight scene or something exploding. Then the world's "best" assassins are drugged and taken to The Killing Chamber where a man shouts orders to everyone being held prisoner. One-on-one duels to the death are determined by a series of challenges that usually involve a random number being given to everyone and the two with the lowest numbers fight first. As they're picked off one by one, the few survivors remaining team together to escape. Some have revenge on their mind while others...

I enjoyed director Raimund Huber’s 2009 action flick “Bangkok Adrenaline” a hell of a lot more than I thought I would. The story may not have been exactly refreshing, but the fight sequences were strong enough to keep me engaged till the very end. Huber’s 2012 effort “Kill ‘em All” is headed to DVD and Blu-ray this December, much to the delight of those who enjoy receiving direct-to-video kung fu movies for Christmas. Hopefully I’m not the only one. The trailer for the flick is pretty intense. Not only do you have an “Ong Bak” fight choreographer helping out with the action, you’ve also got Gordon Liu as the villain. And while the movie may look a look like “The Raid: Redemption,” I think one this could be its own beast. Here’s what the film is supposed to be about: Captured international assassins are locked up inside...

Well Go U.S.A have treated north America to some of the best that Asian cinema has to offer, but their latest release shows they’re not above releasing some good old fashioned, ultra violent, exploitationist low budget pulp when the mood takes them. And to that we say bravo. Director Raimund Huber’s fight flick Kill ‘Em All debuts on Blu-ray™, DVD and Digital December 11th. Synopsis: Welcome to the Killing Chamber - a high-tech bunker where captured international assassins are ready to do what they do best, just to survive. If they're going to break out of this concrete hell, they must duel each other, fight deadly ninjas, and battle against gangs of masked maniacs. If they manage to survive that, they will have to confront Snakehead: the lethal, deranged top dog who will stop at nothing to Kill 'Em All!

Up until today, I hadn’t heard much about Raimund Huber 2009 martial arts flick “Bangkok Adrenaline”. Perhaps my finger has slipped off the proverbial pulse, allowing this stylish action/comedy to slyly slip past my patented Kung Fu Radar(tm). The other theory, of course, is that the film stinks to the heavens upon high, and isn’t worthy of my attention or, for that matter, a small fraction of my paycheck. Regardless, I’m slightly enamored by the trailer, and even if the story is completely worthless, at least there’s plenty of action. Right? “Bangkok Adrenaline” is ready and willing to entertain UK kung fu fans on March 22nd. Here’s the aforementioned trailer, as well as a pretty snazzy poster.
