Unexpectedly for fans, Prime Video’s Fallout TV show not only carefully preserved the franchise’s lore and remained true to the original video games but also expanded upon it. Most additions the showrunners made fit perfectly into the existing world of Fallout, and we can’t help but praise them for such attention to detail.
But one decision the Fallout showrunners made proved to be somewhat controversial with the fans. It did save the show from making a difficult choice in Season 1, but next Season, they’ll most likely have to make it, regardless.
Fallout Kept New Vegas’ Open Ending
Seeing how the events of Prime Video’s TV show inevitably lead the main characters into the Mojave Wasteland, the matter of the New Vegas factions was prominent. In the original game, Fallout: New Vegas, the player defines which faction takes control over this iconic city: the Ncr, the Legion,...

Despite the popular misconception, Prime Video’s Fallout TV show followed not three but four main characters — but while the three most prominent of them shared their goals and crossed their paths on a regular basis, the last one was left alone. He’s often not even considered a main character at all, but his story proved to be the most intriguing and nerve-wracking in Season 1.
Norman’s Often Regarded as a Side Character
Norman MacLean, Lucy’s little brother, stayed in Vault 33 when his sister ventured out into the Wasteland to find their father. With that, his story as a minor character seemed pretty much concluded — except it wasn’t as he was not a minor character. Throughout Season 1, Norm had his own story and a hefty amount of screen time.
Surprisingly, many Fallout TV show fans often claim that there are three main characters in the series, overlooking Norm entirely.

The Fallout game series was one of the pioneers of GenX and Millennial storytelling.
When creators Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky created a post-apocalyptic vision of human civilization gone awry (but never one to lose its sense of humor), the open world narrative eschewed labels of Good and Evil.
The Fallout universe was made of multiple factions, each one selfish, every character a survivalist in their own way.
These political and social plots explored the diversity of human thinking, teaching us concepts of anarchy that were foreign to even 1990s American cinema.
Now that the Fallout series on Prime based on the Bethesda game has debuted, it has the nearly impossible task of trying to humanize a game that was all but designed to escape humanity.
The show is a big hit and most likely the best video game to TV show adaptation we will ever see, thanks to the clever mind of Jonathan Nolan.

Back in 2000, director Ridley Scott took us back to 180 Ad for Gladiator, which told the story of Roman general Maximus Decimus Meridius (played by Russell Crowe), who is favored by Emperor Marcus Aurelius to be his successor because his own son, Commodus, is unfit to rule. Commodus disagrees, so he murders his father, has Maximus arrested, and has Maximus’s wife and son killed. While Commodus establishes himself as the new emperor, Maximus escapes from captivity – only to be captured again, this time by slavers who sell him off to become a gladiator. Soon he’s fighting in front of Commodus in Rome’s Colosseum… and it all builds up to Commodus challenging Maximus to a duel. Gladiator was a major box office success and racked up multiple Academy Award wins, including Best Picture. So there was already talk of a sequel in 2001, but it ended up taking more than...

It may not have been his plan, but Russell Crowe is capitalizing on the return of the iconic “The Exorcist” franchise with separate standalone religious horror films “The Exorcism,” out June 7, and 2023’s “The Pope’s Exorcist.”
Crowe leads Joshua John Miller’s “The Exorcism” as an actor facing demons — maybe literal ones. Consider it a meta twist: The film centers on Anthony Miller (Crowe), a troubled actor who begins to unravel while shooting a supernatural horror film. His estranged daughter, Lee (Ryan Simpkins), wonders if he’s slipping back into his past addictions or if there’s something more sinister at play.
The buzzy cast includes Sam Worthington, Chloe Bailey, Adam Goldberg, David Hyde Pierce, Josh Warren, Adrian Pasdar, and Tracey Bonner.
Director Miller co-wrote the script with M.A. Fortin. “The Exorcism” marks Miller and Fortin’s second feature, after the 2015 horror comedy “The Final Girls.” They also co-created the...

Today, Prime Video opened the vault to the official trailer for the upcoming post-apocalyptic series Fallout, based on the immensely popular retro-futuristic video game franchise. The cinematic trailer, which maintains the game’s expansive world-building and signature dark humor, sees vault dweller Lucy (Ella Purnell) struggle to adapt to the twisted and dangerous world of the irradiated wasteland and offers the first glimpse of Moldaver (Sarita Choudhury) and Ma June (Dale Dickey). Prime Video’s Fallout series will premiere all eight episodes on April 11 on the streaming platform, one day sooner than previously announced.

Amazon’s live-action Fallout series is creating quite a buzz with its latest trailers. They’ve done a fantastic job capturing the essence of the Fallout games – that unique mix of dark, post-apocalyptic themes with a dash of humor and retro style.
In the spotlight is Lucy, played by Ella Purnell, a Vault Dweller who steps into the wasteland only to find the dangers of a world two centuries after the devastation. The show promises a gritty journey, packed with action and the occasional chuckle, like a robot keen on organ harvesting.
The details in the trailer are a treat for us, the fans. From the iconic Stimpaks to some really cool power armor, it’s like stepping right into the game. And when you hear The Ink Spots singing in the background, it sets the perfect end-of-the-world vibe.
Walton Goggins transforms into a Ghoul character that’s both eerie and intriguing.

Prime Video’s official trailer for Fallout, based on the wildly popular video game series, opens with a dapper-looking Walton Goggins promoting nuclear fallout shelters known as Vaults. However, Goggins loses his spiffy attire as the trailer continues, transforming into The Ghoul in what’s become a post-apocalyptic hellscape known as the Wasteland.
The trailer also provides an extended look at Lucy, a naïve Vault Dweller who’s shocked to discover people are living outside of the safety of shelters, and Maximus, a member of the Brotherhood of Steel. There’s plenty of action, comedy, and chaos in the trailer, capped off by a wink at the end.
Prime Video hosted a press conference prior to the trailer’s online debut with series stars Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets) and Aaron Moten (Emancipation). They were joined executive producers/showrunners Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner, executive producer/director Jonathan Nolan, and executive producer...

“I know that I’ve lived a relatively comfortable life,” says Ella Purnell’s Lucy in the trailer for Amazon MGM Studios’ new Fallout series. She’s about to step out of the underground vault she’s called home her entire life and into the savage Los Angeles wasteland 219 years after a nuclear holocaust turned the world to rubble. It’s the start of a story longtime fans of the post-apocalyptic role-playing games know well, but this is the first time it will open a TV series.
According to showrunners Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner, it’s the only way their adaptation of this most revered of video game franchises could begin. After all, it’s the moment that kicks off most of the games.

Ridley Scott's 2000 historical epic "Gladiator" -- based very, very, very loosely on real history -- follows a fictional Roman military commander named Maximus Decimus Meridius (Russell Crowe) who suffers a long string of terrible tragedies. Maximus is poised to be the next Roman emperor, but the sniveling, Richard III-like Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix) usurps the throne instead. Maximus is arrested for not pledging loyalty, but evades capture and flees home ... only to find that his wife and child have been crucified. Maximus is then kidnapped by slave traders and sold into the gladiatorial arena. He now has to murder others to stay alive and keep his true identity secret, all while Commodus becomes more and more corrupt.
Eventually, at the end of a 155-minute movie, Commodus is punished for his evil. Maximus, however, also dies while fighting the villain. Justice is done, and Maximus can finally succumb to mourning. The...

The Rez Dogs return home for a final confrontation of the soul. FX released the official Reservation Dogs Season 3 trailer on Thursday, teasing the last season of the hit show created by Sterlin Harjo and Taika Waititi. The series focuses on Elora Danan (Devery Jacobs), Bear Smallhill (D’Pharaoh Woon-a-Tai), Willie Jack (Paulina Alexis), and Cheese (Lane Factor), four Indigenous teens in rural Oklahoma looking for purpose and opportunity in a world that’s often against them.
After spending two seasons gathering funds to travel to California in honor of their dead friend, Daniel (Dalton Cramer), the crew accomplished their mission but needed clarification about their next steps. In the Reservation Dogs Season 3, the foursome returns home. Well, except for Bear, who breaks from the group to embark on a soul-searching journey alongside the spirit of a long-passed warrior (Dallas Goldtooth) and a conspiracy theorist named Maximus (Graham Greene). The Rez Dogs are heading back home for their final hurrah. FX has released the official trailer for the third and final season of “Reservation Dogs,” the acclaimed FX on Hulu dramedy series.
Created by Sterlin Harjo and Taika Waititi, with Harjo serving as the series showrunner, “Reservation Dogs” focuses on four teenagers — Elora (Devery Jacobs), Bear (D’Pharaoh Woon-a-Tai), Cheese (Lane Factor), and Willie Jack (Paulina Alexis) — who were born and raised in a small Indigenous reservation in Oklahoma. The first two seasons of the show focused on the group’s quest to raise money to travel to California, a long-time dream of their dead friend, Daniel (Dalton Cramer). The Season 2 finale saw the crew finally succeed in their goal, making it to the beaches of Los Angeles and saying an emotional goodbye to Daniel.
Their move proves to be temporary, however, as the trailer for Season 3 opens with the foursome traveling back home.

Russell Crowe wants to make something extremely clear: He is not in “Gladiator 2.”
Ridley Scott’s upcoming sequel, which picks up two decades after the events of the Oscar-winning classic, is set to star Paul Mescal as a rising member of the Roman ruling class. Crowe will not be reprising his iconic role as Maximus, who died at the end of the first film. But that hasn’t stopped people from asking him about the movie.
At a press conference at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival (via Variety), Crowe complained about how much time he spends answering questions about a movie with which he has no involvement.
“They should be fucking paying me for the amount of questions I am asked about a film I am not even in,” Crowe said. “It has nothing to do with me. In that world, I am dead. Six feet under. But I...

Studios typically go to great lengths to ensure safety on their sets, but accidents do happen. It seems that there has been an accident during the production of Gladiator 2 in Morocco which has left six crew members with non-life-threatening burn injuries.
The Gladiator 2 accident took place on June 7th and involved a large explosion during the shooting of a planned stunt sequence. Deadline has heard that four of the six crew members who were injured are still in hospital, but that they are in stable condition as they receive treatment. The news was first reported by The Sun. We can only hope that those injured in the accident will fully recover.

Russell Crowe had reservations about starring in 'Gladiator'.The 59-year-old actor won an Oscar for his portrayal of Roman General Maximus Decimus Meridius in the hit film but was unsure about appearing in Sir Ridley Scott's historical epic as he believed that the script was "rubbish".Speaking to Vanity Fair, Russell said: "At the core of what we were doing was a great concept, but the script was rubbish, absolute rubbish. It had all these sort of strange sequences."One of them was about chariots and how famous gladiators – and this is all true – used certain types of chariots and how famous gladiators had endorsement deals for olive oil and things like that, and it's all true, but it's just not going to ring right to a modern audience, they're going to, 'What the f*** is all this?'"Russell admits that he considered walking away from the movie...

Russell Crowe has opened up about Gladiator 2, and shared the sequel idea he considered returning as Maximus for.
The Kiwi actor played the character in the 2000 historical epic, which was directed by Ridley Scott.
Scott will next direct a sequel to the film, which will not feature Crowe, 59. Instead, the film will focus on Lucius, the son of Connie Nielsen’s Lucilla and the nephew of Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix), who will reportedly being played by Paul Mescal.
While promoting his new film The Pope’s Exorcist, Crowe has repeatedly told reporters he will not be in the new film – but did admit to Collider: “I mean, look, the only thing that I really feel about it is slightly jealous, you know?”
Explaining why, he added: “Because I was a much younger man, obviously, and it was a huge experience in my life. It’s something that changed my life, really.

Because I was a much younger man, obviously, and it was a huge experience in my life."It's something that changes my life, really. It changed the way people regarded me and what I do for a living, and, you know, I've been very lucky to be involved in lots of big movies, but the legs on that film are incredible."The 'L.A.

Russell Crowe, the 59-year-old New Zealand-born Oscar-winning actor, admitted in a recent interview that he’s following news of Sir Ridley Scott crewing up for a “Gladiator” sequel just like the rest of us.
He said he has no inside track for what to expect, but paid his former director a nice compliment, saying, “One of the positives about it, for sure, is that it is Ridley because he’s going to want to go back into that world and create something [on] the same level of spectacle as the first one.”
Then he gave us a peek into his human side, saying what I imagine any one of us would feel if we were in his position. “The only thing that I really feel about it is slightly jealous, you know?” he quipped.

Los Angeles, April 3 (Ians) Hollywood star Russell Crowe has quipped that he will return as General Maximus Decimus Meridius in the ‘Gladiator’ sequel – as a corpse lying “six feet under” the Colosseum.
The 58-year-old actor grabbed an Oscar for playing the vengeful Roman commander in Ridley Scott’s 2000 epic and has said he won’t be starring in the long-awaited follow-up, set 20 years after the first film, reports aceshowbiz.com.
“I think when they’re shooting in the Colosseum and stuff, I’ll be lying like six feet underground… you won’t see me, but I’ll be there beneath the ground,” he joked on ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’.
Russell added that he had spoken with ‘Blade Runner’ director Ridley, 85, about the sequel, but they had concluded his character was better left dead.
He said: “I’ve had a couple of dinners with Ridley since he embarked on this, we...

Russell Crowe will be in the crowd and not the gladiatorial pit this time around for “Gladiator 2.” IndieWire reports that the actor confirmed on RTÉ Radio One’s “The Ryan Turbidy Show” that he’s not part of Ridley Scott‘s upcoming sequel, and that nobody on the movie’s creative team has “brought anything up” to Crowe “in a while.” No surprise there, as “Gladiator 2” takes place 20 years after the death of Crowe’s character Maximus.

Russell Crowe has addressed the rumours he will be in Ridley Scott’s Gladiator sequel.
The new film, focusing on Lucius, the son of Maximus’s lover Lucilla (played by Connie Nielsen in the 2000 original), is set to be released in 2024.
Movie fans have been wondering whether Crowe, who played Maximus, will appear in some way in the film. As he dies in the original, it has been theorised that he could show up in a flashback.
“I think when they’re shooting in the colosseum and stuff, I’ll be lying like 6ft underground,” Crowe quipped via video call on this Saturday’s episode of The Jonathan Ross Show (1 April), adding: “You won’t see me, but I’ll be there beneath the ground.”
Crowe then conclusively said he is “not involved” in the film – and that he has barely even spoken to Scott about the project despite recently meeting up with him.

Crowe said of what he thought about the recent casting news, “Cool… Denzel is one of the greatest actors in the world. So, you know, I’m sure Ridley is going to have an absolute ball with this. You know? I mean, he’s obviously one of the greatest filmmakers that has ever existed.
“And he gets to tread ground that he sort of tried before. Now the way his mind works,...
