[[tmz:video id="0_2fmp8x7m"]] Ex-ny Giants defensive tackle Matt Mitrione says Ben McAdoo is a crap coach ... that's why he calls him, "Ben McAdoo-doo." It's pretty funny and brutally honest coming from a former Giants player -- with Mitrione explaining why Ben's gotta get the ax in NYC after a disaster 2017 campaign. He holds Eli Manning's feet to the fire as well. Mitrione isn't done taking shots yet -- he's an Mma fighter now who's competing at the 2018 Bellator heavyweight grand prix.

You don’t hear about fights getting canceled just hours before the bell rings but that appears to be the case for tonight’s Bellator card. Just after Bellator acquired one of their newest and most prized fighters Fedor Emelianko, his fight with Matt Mitrione has been cancelled. As it turns out it’s not even on Fedor’s side. It’s because of Mitrione. According to Uproxx The Mma vet has been pulled due to illness and the Bellator 172 headline tilt is a no-go. A substitute was searched for with nothing acceptable popping up at such short notice. As a result, the lightweight

The Ufc returns this weekend with a rare Sunday night show as Ufc Fight Night 81 goes down in Boston, Ma with a bantamweight title fight between the surging T.J. Dillashaw and former champion Dominick Cruz.
Dillashaw has been on a high the past year and a half, having upset dominant champion Renan Barao, and beat the ex-champ again in a rematch, with a win over Joe Soto sandwiched in between the Barao fights. Dillashaw also had a highly publicized split from Urijah Faber’s Team Alpha Male, but the bottom line is that he’s the biggest success story to come out of The Ultimate Fighter in years, and has looked great in the octagon.
However, come Sunday, he’s facing former bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz – a man who never actually lost his title. Instead, he was stripped of the belt due to injury, something that has plagued him throughout his career.

There are two big Ufc events coming your way this weekend, and the second of them (we’ll cover more on the Tuf 20 finale once the fights are set following the final episode of the show) features the return to action of former heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos, lightweight Nate Diaz, and long-absent Stefan Struve.
This is a big card for a Fox event, and if they don’t totally kill it with too many commercial breaks, it should be a pretty exciting one. That said, it could also be a very short event, with the three heavyweight bouts on the card all capable of ending in a quick knockout. Should that happen, the Ufc may be looking to bump up a fight from the preliminary card onto the main broadcast as a reply to fill time – and luckily, there are enough decent fights on the prelims for this to be doable.

Former Ufc heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski was victorious in a big way Saturday night at Ufc Fight Night 51, knocking out Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva in the first round of their scheduled five round main event. Suddenly, Arlovski looks like the fighter he was of old, and his victory over the top 5 Bigfoot has the 14th ranked “Pitbull” very relevant in the division once again.
The way to go from here is up – but what fights are there out there for Arlovski to take?
If the Ufc wanted to play it safe, they could put the Belarussian fighter in against someone like Matt Mitrione, but “Meathead” isn’t even ranked in the Ufc’s official rankings, and given Arlovski is suddenly working his way back up, it would seem like a step backwards to be paired up against an unranked fighter.
Who is there out there that is ranked and worthy of...

Last weekend, the Mma world was shocked once again as Ben Rothwell knocked one-time title hopefull Alistair Overeem out, the third time it has happened in the Ufc. The knockout put an exclamation point on the failure that has been The Reem’s run in the Ufc thus far, as he has also been knocked out by Travis Browne and Antonio Silva. As well that night, Derrick Lewis had his hype train derailed at the hands of a Meathead (Matt Mitrione), in another brutal Tko. Bellator also featured heavyweight action last week, with Cheick Kongo submitting Lavar Johnson, and Bobby Lashley making a successful debut with a submission victory over Josh Burns.

Ufc Fight Night: Mousasi vs. Souza was, on paper, yet another great Fight Night card, and one that looked a lot more appealing than last month’s Ufc 177. It featured (originally) six main card fights, though some last minute shuffling re-ordered things to four. The event was broadcast on Fox Sports 1 in the U.S., but available only on Fight Pass elsewhere (including Canada, which may be a sign that the Ufc will move more to Fight Pass outside the U.S., as what is on free TV in the U.S. is usually free north of the border)..
Before the action even got underway, one fight was lost to illness, and suddenly, the focus in the Ufc was once again on cancelled bouts. Still, the Ufc card was a decent bet on paper, consistently better than the Bellator event also airing the same night – though to be fair,...

It’s a head to head battle between the world’s two premiere Mma promotions this Friday as Bellator 123 goes head-to-head with Ufc Fight Night 50.
While that might look like a squash match at first glance, it’s important to get perspective. One, Ufc Fight Night 50 is a Fight Pass event in North America, meaning the TV audience that would tune in in droves to see the likes of Alistair Overeem, Matt Mitrione, Joe Lauzon, Gregard Mousasi, and Ronaldo Souza just won’t be there. It’s a hardcore fans only event. Second, Bellator’s viewers are Spike TV loyalists, and they always tend to tune in. Third, Bellator has stacked this card with some of their best: Featherweight champion Pat Curran, Cheick Kongo, Lavar Johnson, King Mo, and making his Bellator debut, Tna wrestling Bobby Lashley.

What’s next for Ufc champs Chris Weidman and Ronda Rousey?
Ronda Rousey made short work of challenger Alexis Davis in the co-main event of Ufc 175, delivering her second Tko victory, and fastest win yet.
Chris Weidman engaged in a much closer battle with challenger and former light heavyweight champ Lyoto Machida, winning a unanimous decision when all was said and done.
Uriah Hall, meanwhile, won his bout fighting almost three full rounds with a broken toe.
The biggest card of the year thus far turned out to be a mixed bag of action outside those bouts, but there are a lot of matches to look at. One fight was kiboshed entirely, the Stefan Struve vs. Matt Mitrione heavyweight tilt, as Struve reportedly had a panic attack back stage that triggered heart palpitations. In an official statement released through the Ufc, Struve stated that...

Ufc 175 taught us some valuable lessons both inside and outside of the cage Saturday night.
Ufc 175 has come and gone. While there’s still Sunday’s Tuf 19 event, between Wsof 11 Saturday afternoon and Ufc 175 Saturday evening, there has been a whole hell of a lot of Mma already this weekend. Ufc 175 was to be the crown jewel of the Ufc’s summer output/first half of the year, and while it didn’t quite live up to expectations, it was an interesting card nonetheless.
So what have we learned? What did Ufc 175 give us?
The two main areas of focus from this event were Ronda Rousey and Chris Weidman – one a dominant champion facing one of the last remaining legit contenders available to her in the Ufc, the other a champion derided as being something of a fluke. Did Ronda continue to be the...

With international fight week headlined by two title fights, there is no bigger week for Ufc. The end of the year show tends to have the best card, but nothing is bigger than the Fourth of July event. While the event has taken a hit from the Chael Sonnen saga, it remains to be an excellent card on paper.
Chris Weidman returns to face Lyoto Machida in the main event. When two world-class fighters that have completely different styles face each other, the fight becomes even more compelling. Machida isn’t receiving the publicity he deserves for how he’s looked fighting at middleweight. Then Ronda Rousey makes another quick return to defend her title against Alexis Davis. It will be the first time that Rousey faces a black belt in Jiu-Jitsu.
Stefan Struve makes his long awaited return against Matt Mitrione. It will be interesting to see how Struve...

Andrei Arlovski’s surprise return to the Ufc at Ufc 174 in Vancouver gives us a reason to look at some of the big returns to the fold for various fighters over the years.
Mma is a brutal sport, to be sure, and it’s a cutthroat business, where you’re only as good as your last win.
It’s also a sport full of second, and third, chances. Arlovski is coming back. Former middleweight title challenger and Anderson Silva victim Patrick Cote has come back. The Ufc is more or less a revolving door of talent – but sometimes, second (and third) runs are successful – in the ring, at the box office, or on rare occasion, both.
Lets take a look at the top 10 Ufc returns!

EA Sports
With over 400 of the world’s finest fighters being signed to the Ufc, it was inevitable that some names would disappointingly be left out of EA Sports forthcoming Ufc game. The insane detail in which the game’s character models are rendered would mean that the title would be far too big and take far too long to create for everyone’s favourite fighters to be featured. Thankfully, EA have promised that select fighters will become available to purchase as Dlc after the game’s release.
However, some of the omissions from the games starting roster of 99 fighters are so egregious that it is shocking that EA were able to justify leaving them out. Some fighters who have been included in the initial roster seem far less deserving of a place than those who have not made the cut. The decisions as to which fighters were included is – at times – baffling.

Remember Kevin Ware’s broken leg last basketball season? This may be worse. The Ufc fighter’s bid for the championship belt against Chris Weidman on Dec. 28 came to a gruesome end when he horrifically broke his leg. Read on to watch the video, but be warned — it’s not a pretty sight.
Former Ufc champion Anderson Silva, 38, lost his middleweight title fight to Chris Weidman in the second round on Dec. 28, but it’s how he lost that’s quickly become an internet sensation. The brawler suffered a grotesque lower leg injury after attempting a kick, and now the future of his career is in doubt.

Chris won the Ufc middleweight title when he knocked out Anderson Silva in Las Vegas on July 6 and it made sure to have quite the booze-filled celebration on the Sin City strip!

Joseph Gordon-Levitt's directorial debut, Don Jon will hit theaters October 18th. The film is a comedy about a man who connects better with computer porn than real women. Morgan, it's time to put in that vacation request.
Meanwhile, Ryan Murphy's sexy drama Open is headed to HBO. The show is supposed to be a frank depiction of human sexuality and modern relationships, but there's no sign of a gay element from the descriptions so far. As with all Ryan Murphy projects, I'm expecting a stunning first season, after which we'll all lose interest except to complain about the show.
Uruguay has taken their final vote on marriage equality and approved it 92-71. The president is expected to sign the bill, and marriages will begin in a few months.
Meanwhile, back in the U.S., Montana has finally repealed their sodomy law. Baby steps.

The Ultimate Fighter hasn’t exactly been that great for the last few seasons. From the coaches, to the fights and the awful decision to the move the show to Friday night there hasn’t been a lot of fan interest in the reality series. As much as the show is about the fighters living together and trying to win contracts with the Ufc it’s the coaches that generate most of the hype. The last couple of seasons (not counting the international versions) have failed to deliver on that front.
Shane Carwin and Roy Nelson as coaches last season was hard to get excited about for multiple reasons. There wasn’t much of an established rivalry between the two, neither man was really near contention for a title shot and the fight just wasn’t that interesting. In part 2 of the Getting Lucky Mma podcast Ultimate Fighter spectacular, I am joined by fellow Mma columnist, Marcus Mitchell, to break down all the action in the Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale. As a surprise move, Dana did not invite any of the season contestants other than the finalists to partake on the card, obviously to shake up the complacency in the housemates over lackluster performances and commitment.
The card was highlighted by Roy Nelson dominating Matt Mitrione on the feet with a beautiful uppercut. The fight was punctuated with a well-timed flurry by Big Country to turn off Meathead’s lights completely. The Tuf 16 Welterweight champion was also crowned, Us Army Ranger Colton Smith.

Redemption, thy name is Shogun
The main event at Ufc 113 featured a highly anticipated rematch between light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua.
While many believed that Shogun won the first meeting, Machida was still the odds-on favorite as most observers thought the Karateka's style was still too difficult to solve for Rua a second time.
But on Saturday night, Shogun proved that he had not only learned how to solve the “Machida Rubik’s Cube” but how to do it like a whiz kid. Rua pressured and assaulted Lyoto building on his previous use of leg kicks with an an overhand attack where Rua commented that he noticed a weak spot in Machida’s armor. After three minutes, Shogun landed the right hand dropping Machida and Rua finished “The Dragon” off on the ground.
