20th Century Fox has provided another look at Morgan. ‘It’ gets out on September 2nd. Also in this morning’s Horror Highlights: four, count ’em, four videos as well as new details for The Dark Tapes, a Deimosimine teaser trailer, the lineup at this year’s Philadelphia Unnamed Film Festival, and Adam K on home video.
New Clip from 20th Century Fox’s Morgan: “A corporate troubleshooter (Kate Mara) is sent to a remote, top-secret location, where she is to investigate and evaluate a terrifying accident. I've really enjoyed watching the V/H/S horror anthology film series, and today the third film in the franchise was announced. It will be called V/H/S Viral, and it will focus on "fame-obsessed teens who unwittingly become stars of the next Internet sensation."
As for the list of directors coming on board to direct the films in this installment, we have Todd Lincoln (The Apparition), Nacho Vigalondo (Timecrimes), Marcel Sarmiento (Deadgirl), Gregg Bishop (Dance of the Dead), and Resolution duo Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead.
This is another great list of directors, and it will be cool to see what insanity they bring to the anthology. As far as casting goes so far the movie stars Emilia Zoryan, Justin Welborn and Emmy Argo. The photo above gives you a first look at them in the film.

Well this news has perked me up. We all knew it was likely to happen at some point and now the third entry in the excellent 'V/H/S' series has been confirmed by an official announcement. 'V/H/S/3' is currently being touted as 'V/H/S Viral' and the next installment in the anthology franchise is said to 'focus on fame-obsessed teens who unwittingly become stars of the next internet sensation.' The filmmakers getting to stretch their horror minds this time around will be Todd Lincoln ('The Apparition'), Nacho Vigalondo ('Open Windows'), Marcel Sarmiento ('Deadgirl'), Gregg Bishop ('The Other Side'), Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead ('Resolution'). Emilia Zoryan, Justin Welborn ('The Crazies') and Emmy Argo are amongst the first announced cast members....

To those who say that the found-footage horror genre has been done to death, I point to the micro-budgeted V/H/S series, which has succeeded in bringing together some of the genre’s most promising directors to collaborate on blood-curdling, interconnected short films.
The first film, V/H/S, was scattershot in its execution, with some strong segments (The Sick Thing That Happened to Emily When She Was Younger) and some dull ones (notably Second Honeymoon). Follow-up V/H/S/2 was much better, boasting some terrific scares (especially in instant horror classic Safe Haven) and only one weak link (Slumber Party Alien Abduction). So, I’m understandably excited about the recently announced third installment, now confirmed with the title V/H/S Viral.
The overarching narrative that connects the horror shorts in this film will focus on, “fame-obsessed teens who unwittingly become stars of the next internet sensation.” Though...

Following two successful horror anthologies thus far, the V/H/S series is continuing, and the first details on the sequel have surfaced. The threequel is called V/H/S Viral and this time follows fame-obsessed teens who unwittingly become stars of the next internet sensation. This will likely be the story of the bookends used to tie all the horror shorts together. Speaking of which, this time the shorts will be directed by Todd Lincoln (The Apparition), Nacho Vigalondo (Timecrimes), Marcel Sarmiento (Deadgirl), Gregg Bishop (Dance of the Dead), and Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead (Resolution). That sounds great! Here's the first still from V/H/S Viral, that teases a rather erotic setting for the sequel (via ScreenDaily): As for writing duties, all the directors had a hand in their scripts, but there's also some work from T.J. Cimfel and Dave White (though maybe they're the ones who...

Highlights from the 11th Annual Phoenix Film Festival Part Deux By Ray Schillaci
As mentioned before, there were so many good films to choose from at the Phoenix Film Festival, dubbed the friendliest film festival to independent filmmakers, that it was extremely hard to catch them all. There are four specific films I will attempt to get screeners of and give a review later next week. From what I’ve heard, you’ll want to hear about them.
Unfortunately, I missed the much talked about documentaries, “Thespians” and “Wild Horse, Wild Ride”. “Thespians” is an involving tale of four acting troupes competing in the largest high school competition in the world and I heard that it did bring some grown men to tears.
