We talk to filmmaker Kit Vincent, whose deeply moving documentary Red Herring explores his life with a terminal brain tumour.
At 24, my biggest concern was to graduate university and to survive another shift at a rowdy football pub just off of Baker Street Station. For Kit Vincent, it was to come to terms with a life changing diagnosis.
Kit was diagnosed with a terminal illness in 2018 and given between four and eight years to live. A few months after his diagnosis, he picked up a camera and began recording his life, exploring his relationships with those around him through the lens.
The result is Red Herring, a warm and thoughtful documentary about Kit’s life. The project started life as a film about Kit’s father, Lawrence, coming to terms with his son’s illness, but quickly developed into something more.

The first competitive Oscar ever awarded to a Black person, the best supporting actress Oscar that Hattie McDaniel won for her performance in Gone With the Wind in 1940, went missing from Howard University (to which McDaniel bequeathed it after her death in 1952) sometime in the late 1960s. This is acknowledged at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Hollywood, where a row of Oscars on loan to the institution are on display, with one empty display case in the middle, for McDaniel’s.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures are replacing “Gone with the Wind” actress Hattie McDaniel’s lost Oscar 80 years after her historic win for Best Supporting Actress.
In 1940, McDaniel took home a plaque in lieu of an Oscar statue, as was customary for supporting actors at the time. Statuettes became the standard for all winners’ categories for the ceremony in early 1944. While the whereabouts of McDaniel’s original award is currently unknown, the Academy is bestowing a new Oscar statuette in the late actress’ honor to the Howard University Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts.
McDaniel originally bequeathed her Academy Award to Howard University upon her death in 1952. The award was displayed at the university’s drama department until the late 1960s when it disappeared.

Finn Davey I couldn’t be more proud of the sweet, kind, hilarious, brave, witty, and smart beautiful human you are! My miracle baby. If you know the story, you know. Tori Spelling and her children are reportedly living at a campground in an Rv after they were forced to move out of their home due to a black mold infestation.
Spelling and her five kids, Liam, Stella, Hattie, Finn and Beau, were briefly living in a nearby motel but have since moved into an Rv.
The family was photographed sitting outside of the Rv in beach chairs together. They were prepared for their stay as they had a pop-up table, cooler, stove and rug. Spelling was seen handing her kids snacks and doing chores, including hanging up clothes to dry. Later the actress began making dinner for the family. Before going to bed, they took a walk down the beach together.
The next day, Spelling drove the Rv to Walmart where she and Stella went to purchase some groceries before returning back.
Spelling’s estranged husband, Dean McDermott, was not seen with the family.

This article contains light spoilers for "Fast X."
When 2019's "Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw" was first announced, it seemed like a way for Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to pull a fast one on the franchise that he was previously part of only as a member of the ensemble. With this spin-off film, it appeared that Johnson was making a bid to move his character of Dss Agent Luke Hobbs into his own multi-movie franchise — and, as extra insurance, he brought reformed "Furious 7" villain Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) along with him.
Though that may have indeed been the idea behind the conception of "Hobbs & Shaw," the movie proved itself to be firmly entrenched within the "Fast & Furious" franchise in many ways. For one, the film features Hobbs, Shaw, and others performing incredible feats of strength and insanity in and out of various vehicles. For another,...

2017 was a time of great tumult in the world of "Fast & Furious." Paul Walker's shocking death part-way through shooting on "Furious 7" had left many fans conflicted about the franchise continuing, especially after the movie's tear-jerking ending/tribute to the late actor. Then there was the brouhaha that was the Candy Ass incident unfolding behind the scenes, with Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel on the precipice of recreating Dom and Hobbs' sweaty "Fast Five" brawl in real-life. It appeared that even The Fast Saga was no longer big enough to contain these two chrome-domed mega-stars in tight-fitting T-shirts. But what to do about it? Turn the next entry into the backdoor pilot for a Johnson-led spinoff, of course!
That's how 2017's "The Fate of the Furious" plays, anyway. The main thrust of the plot involves cunning cyber-terrorist Cipher (Charlize Theron) and her white-lady dreadlocks blackmailing Dom (Diesel) into doing her evil bidding,...

Get your tissues out. Marlena thinks the end is near as the toxin takes its toll on her body.
She'll be saved from the brink of death, but it'll still be an extremely emotional ride on Days of Our Lives during the week of 10-10-22.
