Mumbai, June 3 (Ians) Actor Amol Parashar will be seen giving an energetic dance performance for the first time in his upcoming film ‘Nausikhiye’.

“We were given the brief to perform freestyle dance at places in the song, like how you dance at a wedding or during street procession. That way it was fun to create our own dance steps for the song, ensuring that it looks relatable, funny and entertaining. I had a whale of a time rehearsing and shooting the song,” Amol added.

Actor Amol Parashar, who rose to fame with his character Chitvan Sharma in Tvf Tripling, and is currently being seen in film 'Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare', has also featured in the lead role in the televised play 'Panchi Aise Aate Hai' on Tata Sky Theatre, which is celebrating Marathi playwright Vijay Tendulkar's contribution to theatre.
Sharing his thoughts on theatre, Amol shared that for exploration purposes, "theatre is the easiest and most convenient medium for an actor".
"When working on a text, or when working on a theatrical production, the process gives you ample time and space to experiment and ‘play' around. You can keep working on a performance or refining it as you do more and more shows of the same production. Thanks to the beauty of imagination in theatre, you can also deal with characters and themes that are far away from you physically.

Dolly and Kitty could be any small town cousins. In the world of Alankrita Shrivastava, they become fictional case studies of real desires that the Indian woman of today might harbour, even as she grapples with an innate conservative mindset and a society that is still too inflexible while accepting her sexual mores.
In a way, Shrivastava was setting up a desi Fleabag of sorts, narrating the story of Radha, or Dolly (Konkona Sen sharma), and her cousin sister Kajal (Bhumi Pednekar), or Kitty from Darbhanga, Bihar. Dolly (Sen Sharma) is married and a mother of two. Along with her husband Amit (Aamir Bashir), she is trying to close installments for their dream home in an under-construction Greater Noida high rise. Kajal arrives from Bihar and puts up with Dolly and family, in search of a job and life in the big city.

About Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare:
Set in the outskirts of New Delhi, Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare chronicles the quiet transgression of two cousins, who, through their complicated love-hate equation, enable each other to find freedom.
Talking about the film, Alankrita Shrivastava (writer and director), said, “Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare is a story with these two quirky, layered characters at its heart - Dolly and Kitty.
The two cousins are trying to break through many visible and invisible shackles to live life on their own terms. It's a film with a light and fun tone! And although the film is entirely fictional, the film for me is very personal and there is a certain truth about the bond Dolly Kitty shares. It is real and relatable.
