Nathaniel Turner(I)
- Director
- Writer
- Composer
Nathaniel always wanted to become a film director, writer, composer and
an artist from the age of 6. When he grew up, he focused on character
driven stories, along the lines of classical film narrative and
experimental. He learned from books and on the job training. He has
been a student and a mentor to Lighthouse Studios (a non profit
organization to teach high-school kids the steps to filmmaking). He has
collaborated with independent filmmakers such as Eric Hurt (Pillage and
Plunder Pictures), Scott Mactavish (Mactavish Pictures), Samuel Baker
(Lighthouse Studio) and Bernard Hankins. He has also been trained and
mentored by Hollywood filmmakers, Jeff Wadlow (Director of Never Back
Down), Leigh Kilton Smith, Jay Lavender (The Break Up), Beau Bauman,
Mac Marshall and Seth Gordan. At the age of 19, several of his short
films have won awards and screened at several film festivals including
Los Angeles, Chicago and New York. In 2010, Turner recently made his
own independent company Alexandria Pictures and made four films (3
short and one feature). He's currently finished his second feature,
Cassandra, a psychological drama thriller and started editing his
recent short film, Connect. Currently Cassandra is in film festival
submissions stages.
